HTC EVO 4G :: Qik Application Not Working?

I asked the Qik question the other day, but did not get a large response. Is anyone using the Qik application that came with the phone and does it work? Did anyone download the "EVO Qik app" from Android Market? Second, I have input numbers on my cell two ways. One is by saving after a person has called and the next is by adding through "people". My question is when I have incoming calls it doesn't always come with the callers name.

I really wanted GDE to work but today it made my phone all but useless. It locked up my phone for 5 minutes, so i pulled the battery to reset and for the next 45 minutes the phone app would not work at all, it would open but would not dial any #, and the rest of GDE was so slow i couldnt do anything. I couldnt turn wifi on or off, gps on or off, close open programs or open new ones. I finally had to uninstall it cause it was just too much for the phone. Its a shame cause i liked it, i installed home ++ today and seems to be doing ok.

Is there an app on the market that would allow me to receive and send texts through Google Voice? The layout of Google Voice's app gets annoying when I want to just compose a message to someone but I first have to back out to the inbox.

The first one the flashlight led stopped working in any app. It was returned. Now its replacement has another issue with the camera. I'm getting blocky colourful pixelation when the phone is on a gprs connection and I use the camera. At least that didn't happen on the first one. I'm getting seriously fed up with HTC. Will I get one that works properly? Might swap it for Samsung galaxy, but I know I'd miss sense. S there a fix for the camera bug? Updated software? It takes a perfect picture. It just looks wrong before you click the shutter.

This is irritating the hell out of me. I have Advanced App Killer (free). It kills apps for about 30 seconds. Then as soon as I do ANYTHING besides a phone call, let's say open the web browser, I have multitudes of open apps running. Some of the real pain in the asses are: Gallery, Voice search, Alarm clock,Corporate Calendar, and Voice Dialer. I don't open them. They just reappear like a relative that just can't stay home. Is there any kind of Start Up manager for Android 2.1? Advanced App Killer just isn't doing the job.

I have googled and searched this site for the following warning, "Sorry! - the application Mail (process.htc.android.mail) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". I can't seem to find a resolution to this issue. On my past iPhone the exchange sync worked just fine.

why a picture taking application works on some phones and not on others? The app was tested with the 1.1 emulator and the 1.0 developer phone. Some customers reported that they could not find the resulting pictures using the Picture application after they powered off the phone and powered it back on to cause a new media scan. Others find them just fine (in the dcim/camera directory). Are there any known conflicts for applications taking pictures? The only other thing I can think of is that the developer phone, currently at 1.0, will function differently at 1.1, however, the app works on the 1.1 version of the emulator.

Just rooted and themed my phone yesterday, and also added and overclock kernel, could never have done it without all the help here. The only thing is, now my kindle app won't work (not a huge deal, I've got it on my ipod too.) I'm running cyanogenmod 5.0.8 with the smoked glass theme and a 1.2GHz kernel.

Ive just received this 2 days ago and my setting app was working last night now I can access it but when I touch any of the sub categories (e.g. sound and display) nothing happens. I wondered if this was from low battery but I am charging the battery and it still wont work.

I currently found out, that my Application developed for Android 1.6 does not work on Android 2.2. I'm quite puzzled about this, because its a very simple Application which almost does nothing. The Expeption I get is like that:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to instantiate application [packagename].AndApp:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: [packagename].AndApp in loader
dalvik.system.PathClassLoader[/data/app-private/[packagename]-1.apk]
The weirdest part is, that the Class it is searching for here does not exist and never has. The app itself does nothing than show some text in a textview. In Android 1.6 I dont get this problem and I cant see a reason, it event works in 2.1. The Manifest looks like that:

Being able to filter a specific distribution list to not notify me. I get other emails from that email that I need to be notified when they come in. I just need one distro list silenced. Different notifications for specific senders would be awesome.

I live in Sweden and the application is on my phone, but does not work. That is odd because it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to do, especially if Google Maps already gives turn-by-turn directions. I'm guessing it might have to do with the language or pronunciation of the streets. I don't mind using it in English, though.

I am using Windows XP and Eclipse to develop. I updated everything today, the new sdk, the new adt etc. After that, when I tried to "export signed application package", nothing happened. If I click "export unsigned application package", a dialog box showed up. Anything i missed? i installed this rom earlier and started of loving it and then messenger force closed and again and again so i then ended all programs using auto killer and went back in to messanger and it worked for long enough to send a txt and then failed again. the application messages(process com.android.mms) has stoped working unexpectedly.please try again

I bought Milestone about 4 month ago. I am looking for a call record application for both incoming and outgoing calls bus so far I haven't found a working one. I tried total recall and phone recorder - didn't work. I know google voice have option to record incoming but not outgoing calls. I heard somewhere that Milestone have this option disabled by hardware anyone knows if this is true? Anyway if anyone can recommended a tested working record app (pay or free I dont care at this point).

Gmail app stopped working and syncing today. if i manually press the refresh button it crashes and the message that gives me is "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and i press force close button cause thats is my only option. Anybody has the same problem?

Is it possible to get to the HTC's SMS message widget app to open up the Inbox of Handcent? I've turned everything off in the Desire's default messages app, but it still continues to open the HTC message app. Also when I've sent an SMS & press back, it automatically goes to the HTC message app?? Will pressing 'Force Stop' in the manage applications section stop the HTC app, or will it stop everything to do with the SMS functionality? I've read all I can on this & other sites, but I can't get it to change. Is this just the way it is & it may be altered in the future.

I'm having trouble getting my app to work properly on older devices. I've ready the "Backward Compatibility" tutorial, I'm working for performance - and it suggestions using .invoke is considerably slower than using a wrapper class. But it seems the wrapper class only works for if a class is not available on older devices. I'm compiling with 2.2, but minSDK is 1.5. I'm working with multitouch, I assumed that if I checked against Build.Version.SDK, and didn't call getPointerCount() - then it wouldn't raise an error. But when I create an instance of the class which has my methods in, I get this: 06-29 08:17:28.263: ERROR/dalvikvm(255): Could not find method android.view.MotionEvent.getPointerCount, referenced from method com.myPackage.myClass. Despite not actually calling it. Is this normal?

I tried the default Maps app in the emulator and there it was working. Also i intend to add an item when a user presses that button, how can do it?
