I tried assigning pictures to my contact list and when they call me all I get is the big green avatar and the number of whos calling and not their picture, anything I'm doing wrong?

Ok so I have fallen in love with this phone, coming from a blackberry, but have a HUGE problem..I can recieve picture messaging fine, BUT when I send to anyone who owns an iPHONE, and yes, it's the versions that are capable, they do not recieve it....I was able to send picture messages fine from my blackberry to ALL carriers, including iphones...what makes it worse is that I NEVER get an error message. Everything seems to go through so I never know they never recieved it until I follow up..

Some customers reported that they could not find the resulting pictures using the Picture application after they powered off the phone and powered it back on to cause a new media scan. Others find them just fine (in the dcim/camera directory). Are there any known conflicts for applications taking pictures? The only other thing I can think of is that the developer phone, currently at 1.0, will function differently at 1.1, however, the app works on the 1.1 version of the emulator.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGot the Droid X on 7/15, everything was great, got the system update, now the camera won't work. Black screen only, even though both the Camera and Camcorder apps behave like they're working (with a black screen). Cannot take pictures at all, can take video, although no image is shown and playback of videos is a completely black screen.
I look in the camera and it looks like the shutter is open, although I'm not 100% certain what a closed shutter would look like. I think I can see the lens.
I did a full System Restore, the problem did not go away.
I've tried the camera app from the marketplace, facebook, etc., all treat the camera in the same way: just a black screen.
Trying to take a picture, the focus noise doesn't even sound.
This was working prior to the update, albeit in a leggy manner. Should I return my Droid X, or is there some other software / use fix I have not tried?
is there a way to get a contacts picture to show their facebook picture in timescape. I have linked all my contacts with their facebook accounts but it still shows the default white picture. I dont want to have to go through and take pictures of all my contacts. that would just be silly.Apologies if this has been asked before or is a simple fix. I'm new to this smart phone malarchy

View 19 Replies View RelatedI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

Google maps says 'no network connection'
Play store says 'server error'
Gmail says 'waiting for sync, your emails will appear shorly'
Sounds like my internet is broken? ITS NOT. whatsapp and opera mini, web browser is still working 100% and able to connect
I have tried:
turning sync of and on
clear the cache of various google apps
turning the phone off and on
The last action I did before it worked was to uninstall the 'microsoft outlook app'.
Had WiFi working earlier now it has stopped but laptop still working ok?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't reach to download MMS. I have an Italian Vodafone SIM and I have the 2 APNs that are present by default: -Vodafone web -Vodafone MMS. I'm able to use the web browser, but when I receive an MMS with a picture, the phone tries do download it, but it fails. I've followed an hint from here: MMS on Vodafone. if in the setting I set to use the 2G network only, it seems to work!

At an event the other night that took place in a low-light restaurant, the EVO had trouble focusing and taking good pictures. It would also use way, way too much flash when put in automatic mode, and even seemed a bit much when turned down in the options.

When I attach a picture to an email with Outlook Ecxchange Active Sync via our server at work I receive an error. "Delivery to the following recipipients was aborted after 3 seconds. " The settings on my phone allow for the all file sizes. The pic is 1.3MB . I don't see anyting else on the phone that would prevent the attachment from not sending. Please advise if any phone setting I'm missing that are causing the problem.
