General :: Galaxy S4 Gallery App Change Player Option?

I was watching netflix on my xbox360 last night while playing on my phone. When i was in the stock gallery app i noticed a button called "change player" when i hit it.. all of a sudden netflix stopped and my picture was displayed on the screen of my tv.. I assume it is some sort of DLNA stuff. But how can it do this when i have DLNA sharing off in settings? I want to know how to disable this feature..and/or what its using to broadcast.

there is any app or plugin for android 2.2 (Desire) that would allow users to adjust the pitch of music playback? Whether it is possible hardware-wise. What I am specifically after is turning it down to -0.32 semitones, that basically changes the playback frequency from standard 440 hz to 432 hz.

I want to be able to prevent all of my album art from being displayed in my gallery, and only to show the images/folders that I've actually placed in my gallery.
When i open my gallery, I see all the images & folders that I've put there,but I also see ALL of the folders with ALL of the album art..and this can be difficult.
Is there any way to prevent this? I want the album art to display in my music player-(when that album is playing).But I don't want to have to scroll through every frickin folder of all album arts every time I open my gallery to find pics/images.
Get's to be too much when you have over 20GB's of music and pretty much all of them have album art folders. Is this do-able?

[Running Android 4.1.2 on a Galaxy S3 LTE]
Not being the greatest typist on virtual keyboards (a combination of fat fingers and impatience), I used to find on my old S2 that when I typed a message, the predictive text would highlight what it thought was the word I was typing in blue and, if I continued typing, it would use that word.
However, on my S3 this option doesn't appear to be available - if I misspell a word I have to manually select the highlighted blue word, otherwise it'll use the word exactly as I've typed it. I've had an amble through the options and can't find anything which might allow me to change this setting.

I've just upgrade my S2 from andriod 2.3ish to 4.1.2. Before doing so I changed the default system sound to that droplet sound (in the normal settings view, no root, nothing special with this phone) but now I've upgraded the 'normal' setting to change 'system sound' has gone. Have they really just scrapped that option?

Has anyone noticed the option for messaging is missing in the Froyo 3D gallery. All the other sharing options are there accept for messaging. Of course I would rather use the 3D gallery instead of stock. Any suggestions.

I've recently bought a Nexus 7, and am loving my first taste of android having been heavily into iOS devices previously. I want to change the thumbnail picture displayed in the gallery app (I'd call that the 'key photo' from using apple products in the past). It seems to default to the first images in a particular album, I've tried various taps and swipes and looking in the app and album settings but can't find anything.

I have a Galaxy S3 that I got a couple months ago, love it but there's just this one problem. The headphones that I was using at the time that I got it were a little damaged so the left side was quieter than the other. I used the accessibility option to shift the sound balance to the left so that it would be balanced. A little bit after the most recent update (4.3?) rolled out I happened to purchase new headphones so I went to switch the sound balance back, but to my surprise there was no longer the "sound balance" option in the accessibility menu. It seems like the settings for the sound balance managed to stay how they were but the actual option to change them disappeared. This makes it extremely hard to listen to music in headphones and when I plug my phone into car speakers it's much louder on the left side of the car.
I know that Poweramp and Rocket Player both have sound balance options, but I often use apps like Songza, Google Play Music, and Soundcloud so buying the full version of Poweramp wouldn't cut it. No equalizers gave me the sound balance options I needed either.
If I absolutely have to I guess I could do a factory reset of my phone, but that's the last thing I want to do as it would be a huge hassle to transfer all the music/pictures/apps back onto the phone.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy Nexus via ebay yesterday and it came with Android 4.0 ICS software. I went to "Settings >> About Phone" - No "System Updates" option available!!
how do I get this option or update my phone to the latest software Jelly Bean 4.2.2 without this option on the phone.

I have a Fascinate that automatically populated my Gallery with the zillions of photo albums I've uploaded to Picasa. My boyfriend has a Droid X and I put my Picasa email/password in his Accounts thinking it'd just effortlessly autopopulate his gallery with my pictures too, but it didn't. I looked around on the internet and saw that you could download the older Gallery (the one that's like the one on my Fascinate), so I did, but again, there's no setting that I see to show my Picasa albums on there, there's no auto-populating, nothing.
Any ideas how I can make this happen without having to go into a separate application or on the web to see these? I looked it up on another site and it said settings can be found at "settings > accounts & sync" but the Droid only has Accounts listed, no Sync.

I'm using a Galaxy S4. I can't edit my photos using the built-in editing feature in the gallery (drawing lines and all). Once I'm done drawing, I'll save the photo and it'll be the same as the original one, without any changes. I also can't use some apps like Snoopify or Catwang.

i hv rooted s2 plus with cwm.i cant open the gallery it shows unfortunately gallery has stopped.
also when i call any one or recive any call the device get stuk on dialing screen and shows com.android.phone isnt responding.
i am using titanium backup app for deleting bloatware and deleted some unwanted blotware.is there any wrong blotware was deleted by me or tell me what can i do now.

I just deleted the gallery application that comes with the phone (i dont know what i did it... ), and now i cant change the lock screen background.
When i try to do it from the configuration panel, it says "La application configuracion (proceso com.android.settings) se ha deterino inesperadamente"

I have a few apps on my phone that allow me to choose a photo and then do something with it, e.g. editing. When I try to choose a photo, I used to get two options: 1) choose from Dropbox and 2) choose from Gallery. But at one point, I chose a photo from the Gallery and also checked the "default" checkbox. Since then, whenever I try to choose a photo, I don't see the two options anymore, it always takes me directly to the Gallery.
When I checked the "default" checkbox, I had assumed that there must have been a setting somewhere that would allow me to undo what I've done so that the Gallery would no longer be the default option and when choosing a photo, I would still get to see two options: Dropbox and Gallery. But I searched all the places I could think of and still couldn't find such setting. Where such setting is?
The phone I use is Samsung Galaxy S4 and the OS version is Android 4.2.2.

I am unable to find my gallery on my phone in Facebook after the new jellybean operating systems update. It will show a couple of camera shots. I post pictures all of the time. Now I am unable to do so. It worked fine with the icecreme sandwich operating system. But it hasnt adapted to the jellybean.

I'm an iPhone user. Upgraded from a AT&T Samsung Fascinate to a AT&T Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
When we put her SD card from the Fasc into the Sky, all her pictures didn't transfer over, I guess only the main "Camera" album. I used the Astro app and see that the additional images that aren't showing up must be in a subfolder called ".thumbnails", since it's full of image files.
I downloaded Rescan Media and ran that but it didn't work.

How do I change the default video player? Right now it is set to open and play videos in the default Android video player, but I want to use a better, more feature rich video player from the marketplace. I tried using apps that changed defaults, but they didn't have any options for videos, just which default app would open pics.

have question about Music Player Pro. Is any way to change icons in this app? I tried to change the icons in the APK MANAGER 4.9, and using 7zip but after each program would not install. I wanted to change the program icon and the little that appears in the notification bar to look like the logo audio beats. There is some way to change these icons?

It happened today after I upgraded to the new firmware, 4.04 DXLR5.
Many strange files with an icon that is grey and looks like a square with 2 keyholes and a lightning bolt appeared in all my sd card directories when viewed with the gallery app. These files, when clicked, show a blank screen.
But these files don't exist when viewed with my other apps like quickpic and es file viewer, and when I view the sdcard on my pc with a card reader.
For example originally I had 49 files in my dcim/camera directory. When viewed in gallery, it says I have 114 files. When viewed in quickpic or any other app, I still have 49 files. I cleared data in the gallery app but the same problem exists.

I am almost sure that before froyo, when I was playing mp3s via the stock music player, that when I exited that screen, the music app closed. It no longer closes when I back out of it. And there is no exit or quit option. Is force closing the only way to stop the dang thing? I don't use a task killer. I have the icon for running services and I close it from there.

I'm looking for a mp3 player for my car. I usually use my Verizon Note 2 to play my music but due to ill parents need to keep phone ready for call. So I'm looking for a mp3 player. Don't want an Ipod. Really like my Samsung media player. If I buy a used phone (possibly from ebay) can it be used as a mp3 player if I don't activate it? And what about phones that are advertised with bad ESN. Since I'm not activating it would it still be usable for a mp3 player?
I would assume it can be used as a mp3 player just not as a phone and I could never update it. Is this correct? I've always just used the phone that I have activated with Verizon so I don't know what I can and can't do with one that isn't activated.
