I've been tethering my N1 with PDAnet and have been very unimpressed with the speed. I haven't done a speed test yet but it is noticeably slower than when I used to tether my Sprint BB Tour. BTW, it shows 3G and all four bars of reception. Anyone have any tips or tricks to increase the speed?

However doing speed tests on my phone while connected to the Netgear router the highest speeds I seem to be able to get is around 2 Mbps. View 7 Replies View RelatedCan anyone use Google Voice on their Moment? When I get an incoming call, it takes so long for the call to come through that by the time I try to press 1 to accept the call, its going to voicemail.
I've tried it several times and its physically impossible to answer the phone, listen to who's calling, get the number pad to come up (after waiting for the screen to wake up) and press 1 before it sends the caller to voicemail.
I really like this phone, but its lag is wearing on me (and I'm running one of Joeykrim's speedy kernals). I hope it speeds up with the upgrade to 2.1. If not I might have to switch to a Blackberry (blasphemy!! ) until Sprint comes out with a faster Android phone.
I am sure that there is a thread on here about RAM but I downloaded Andriod System Info and it is telling me that I only have 46 meg of RAM available.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I made the mistake of trying to drive 80 mints using my DInc as a GPS unit. Drained about 25% of my battery. On the way back I didn't use GPS, but had BT turned on. In 80 mints it charged my battery 5%. With 2.1 and this same charger I didn't have this problem. My problem there was that the battery got really hot and stopped charging. I fixed this by simply mounting the thing in front of an A/C vent. Problem solved. Now Froyo has "fixed" this overheating issue by making the phone not charge so fast so it's now basically useless as a GPS unit IMO. Is there a ROM out there that fixes this charging issue?

With the evo, and recorder set on minimum resolution I can't even send a 10 second clip!I've tried handset which only gets me up to 1.2mb. I need it at 3 at the very least.

I don't feel like I have that many apps installed, and I don't feel like HTC gives enough space for apps on the phone, when there is 8 gigs on board space. Just ordered one of these to test ear bud amp. "Fiio E3 Headphone Amp" but it's more of a hassle to get the results. I was hoping android app might offer fix.
Has anyone found an app or mod that allows you to increase the maximum audio output of the evo? I know others have been complaining about the maximum audio level being too low. I get in my car and just can't hit that level I'm looking for. Haven't had this problem with other audio devices.
