HTC EVO 4G :: How To Increase The Available RAM
Aug 3, 2010I am sure that there is a thread on here about RAM but I downloaded Andriod System Info and it is telling me that I only have 46 meg of RAM available.
I am trying to figure out how to increase the available RAM. My phone is not running slow but I know that this can't be right, there should be more available.

I am developing my program but it seems It really giving me hard time regarding TextView.XD .How do you increase the value of TextView where its value is e.g. is 0?Just like in Scoreboard. Increasing the value of score as you click the TextView assigned to it.

Sep 29, 2010So I made the mistake of trying to drive 80 mints using my DInc as a GPS unit. Drained about 25% of my battery. On the way back I didn't use GPS, but had BT turned on. In 80 mints it charged my battery 5%. With 2.1 and this same charger I didn't have this problem. My problem there was that the battery got really hot and stopped charging. I fixed this by simply mounting the thing in front of an A/C vent. Problem solved. Now Froyo has "fixed" this overheating issue by making the phone not charge so fast so it's now basically useless as a GPS unit IMO. Is there a ROM out there that fixes this charging issue?

Jul 18, 2010Is there anyway to increase mms message size? On my old TP2 I had my limit set at 5mb and I didn't have an issue Sprint to Sprint, only sometimes with Verizon. With the evo, and recorder set on minimum resolution I can't even send a 10 second clip!I've tried handset which only gets me up to 1.2mb. I need it at 3 at the very least.

I don't feel like I have that many apps installed, and I don't feel like HTC gives enough space for apps on the phone, when there is 8 gigs on board space. Jun 7, 2010I personally like the brightness level to be low, lower than the automatic setting, but not always all the way down. My brightness is currently set all the way down and it seemed to be too low at first, but now I am use to it and that's how I'm gonna roll for the time being. Not to mention that it significantly decreases the light bleeding. I did notice though, that when i turn the screen on, it turns on brighter for a second, then dims down. Anyone else experiencing this?

Sep 11, 2010I've had my Evo for about 2 months now and the battery life wasn't so great. Being that I'm coming from a Hero, it wasn't surprising. But the past week its got incredibly worse. I've done the battery conditioning thing and have a auto task killer. But for example, i got 4 hrs and 17m on one battery today with VERY MINIMAL use. I had bought a back up battery and that has about the same life. I've never rooted and really considering it now. Is 2.2 rootable yet?
