May 1, 2010I just bought this app and trying to download bugless beast and ultimate droid and both download for a while and just say "Error". I have full bars and connected to wi-fi. Tried boths ways and same result. I am on 2.0.1

I've never updated a ROM and don't have ROM manager premium, so I was wondering how easy it is to update a current ROM? Can you just flash over your current version or do you have to do a full wipe?

Jun 10, 2010Looking at my first bill from Sprint has me scratching my head. They only took 20% from the 69.99 Everything Data, and then added 10.00 for premium data. Is this right? I understand the employee discount won't effect the total equipment protection or taxes and fees, but surely the 10 dollar premium data isn't immune to the discount?

Jul 7, 2012I have been running the latest version of the Premium XDA app and lately pictures are not loading in most threads. Sometimes 1 or 2 pictures will load, but usually none.
Also, while on the topic of the app, what happened to the option to show the first post when viewing a thread? I have selected the option "show oldest post" but it does not work, still shows the last unread post.

General :: NextBook Premium 8 SE Won't Boot?
Mar 28, 2013This past November I bought this Nextbook premium 8 se from big lots but after a couple of months I wanted to get more out of it so I tried rooting it using this method but something went wrong and now it won't boot past the 2nd splash screen and just goes to a blank screen. I have been trying for about two months searching to fix it on my own but have had no success.

Nov 7, 2010My un-modified Ally connects beautifully and allows me to mount the SD on my WinXP notebook. But when I tried to connect to my Win7 PC it just says "device drivers did not install correctly" and never actually "sees" the Ally. I read a thread discussing a similar issue with the DROID, but the thread dried up back in March with no solution. Can anyone tell me what I need to do here?
Part of that thread talked about setting Win7 to allow unsigned drivers. I tried to do as they said from the Run command line, but the gpedit.msc file they said to run "cannot be found" on my Win7 PC.

Jul 27, 2010So PSX4Droid finally got released from the clutches of Google Market about an hour ago. Only problem now is I can't seem to get any roms to work. I set up a PSXROMS folder on my SD card, and my first d/l was Metal Gear Solid disc 1 and 2. I got them from here PSX ISO Download Section. So I downloaded the .rar, unzipped to get the .bin (says it's compatible), open the emulator, the emulator sees the files in the folder, I click it, it refreshes the rom screen. The emulator doesn't start. Am I doing something wrong? Wrong file type?

Mar 8, 2010I think I may know why this is happening, but I don't feel like doing a full nandroid reinstall and losing my data before I ask. I'm getting "incompatible update" errors when trying to reinstall Facebook and Mixzing. Now, I had those apps installed and working on my previous ERE25 based ROM, however, I was at the time using the Dark 24K theme, which modified them. When I went to ESE53, I didn't nandroid, I just used update.zip, and that of course reinstalled the stock theme, which may be causing the problem. It's not showing those two apps in my installed apps list. When I check them in the market, they show "installed", but I am able to redownload and reinstall them, I just get the error during install.

May 11, 2010Just a little heads up out there for people like me who flash roms ten times a day. If you haven't already experienced this issue, you are likely to come across it in the future.
It is probably a good idea to make a backup of the contents of your sd card to keep when flashing from an a2sd enable rom to a non a2sd enabled rom. If your partitioned for a2sd and flash a non a2sd rom it will hold you phone at the boot screen or send you into an endless boot cycle.
I had to take everything off my sd card, re format the card, then flash the rom before I could load everthing back onto the card.
I may be a total noob, and for all you smart people this is probably a no brainer. But if I can keep anyone else from having this headache I thought it best to post it.

Jun 19, 2010On the pre you had Preware to download patches (tweaks), the process was simple, just click the patch you wanted, self installed, thats it...patches were for anything that would enchance individual functions of your phone, not "replacing", but enhancing the way certain functions worked.....for the EVO, I assume these are "ROMS", is there such an app as Preware where we can on the phone search through ROMS, click and self install? Or is installing ROMS on Android more technically involved? Also, where can one find a directory of these roms that are organized in order of what they are for?
