Dumb question but how? Had the phone since launch and I must not take many pictures because I hadn't tried to transfer photos off the phone until today except for a couple 'shares' to Facebook. Was about to do this and can't find where they are on the sd card.

With my new htc wildfire over the weekend and I want to transfer them onto my computer. I have connected the phone to the pc and the photos aren't in the memory card memory so I gather they are in the phones memory. How do I set the phone so that photos get saved to the memory card rather then the phone?

The Remotecall app in Playstore still requires me to pick up my phone in order to actually hear something..
its got all the other features i'd like to use: answer calls from my PC, make calls from pc (from , for example, the outlook contactlist), call Log capability; but i have to pick up my phone when i probably can just hear it through my headphone (connected to PC)
I think i should be looking for some sort of voip server on my phone and let my computer act as voip client, but i'm not entirely sure about that.

I have used sync to backup my phone numbers onto my computer but they are appearing in the windows contacts as just the phone numbers but no names.
Is tehre any program i can use to backup my phone numbers with names from my phone onto my computer?
Google photos doesn't seem to display all my photos from drive. some are missing and it doesn't show screenshots either.

Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.

There is one app that i have uninstalled but doesn't delete from the download list and i want to see where it is located on the phone that way i can delete it/modify it myself. 2.2 isnt out yet so i know its not gunna be on the sd card.... These are my own shots taken with a DSLR, they are printed and hanging and I used my Captivate to photograph them off the wall. The first one I instantly re-tagged because I didn't realize the exact name of what I photographed. Big thanks to Toe-cutter who was very patient with both my lack of knowledge and of patience! I'm looking for some help in connecting my Hero to my computer. I haven't has problems until today but now I can't get the darn phone to connect. I have tried my work computer (Windows XP) and my home computer (Vista) and I have also tried four different usb cables, including the HTC one. I have also done a factory reset, taking the battery out and anything else I can think of including reinstalling the drivers & HTC sync If anyone can help I'd appreciate it - I need to be able to sync my phone to my calendar for work. Oh, by the way - I am not in the slightest way technically competent!

You will need the following applications; Either Google Chrome and QR-tag extension generator(for Chrome), or Firefox and QR-tag extension generator(for Firefox) , and this one for your phone Barcode Scanner v3.3 Application for Android you don't have to use this app there are many others out there(doesn't have to be an Incredible phone either). It should be pretty easy to figure this out now that you see the apps involved but I will explain. First is the obvious, you need to get all apps installed and running on both pieces of hardware. Second when you are on the web page you would like to take with you you simply click on the QR-Code app in your toolbar of Chrome and it will display a QR-code then open your QR-Code reader on your phone and line up the QR-code in its sights. Then simply select web browser and your there.

I didn't get any CD with it. I am also wondering if I hard reset my phone back to factory default, will all the apps, etc that were there out of the box, still be there? If I can sync with my computer, can I put my contacts back on from my computer? And, finally, there is a "notice" type "bell" sound every so often on my phone, but I have checked messages and phone calls as well as email, plus there are no notifications at top...what might it be? When I log in with my phone it changes my display name to something that I can change on my phone, but because I can't get any really special characters to work (well actually just one, D with a stroke) I can't get the same name on my phone as my normal msn on computer has. Okay well I could live with that, but when I log off from my phone it doesn't revert the change but it changes the display name on my computer's msn too! It gets really annoying to change my display name every single time I log in with my computer. And it does the exact same thing with my personal message. So the question is, can this be prevented in any way? ps: does anyone know how I can get that stock sms app to mark every sms as "read" when I've responded?

I installed HTC sync manager on my computer, but when i try to connect with the phone it says some bull**** on the phone like "make sure you have installed the application on the computer and that it is open" I have installed it and it is open!!! What do i do? why is this so needlessly complicated????
View 3 Replies View Relatedi got an S3.. and my computer has xp pro. i had to restore my computer recently from a saved image of my system. before i restored my computer, i was able to connect my S3 to it via USB with no problem. but after i restored it, i'm unable to.
i downloaded and installed the MTP driver, which got my computer to recognize my phone before i restore it. but now its not working and i dont see it listed in Device Manager. whats weird is that when i connect my S3 to my computer, the phone doesnt give any notifications that the phone is connected to USB like it used to before. and it also doesnt give me the 2 options of connecting by either MTP or Camera. all it does is charge my phone.
