View 2 RepliesI recently rooted my phone and successfully flashed the CM6 ROM. I tried going back to sense (froyo 2.2) for 4G, and I believe my backup was corrupted or I did not back up correctly. What is the best way (if possible) to revert my phone back to the way it was? I would eventually like to get to the point where I could go back and forth when I wanted using ROM manager.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've tried the leaked 2.2 and the OTA. One of the two is destroying my 3g reception. I'm getting only location services in many places where I had 1x or 3g reception. In general its just a pain for me. I want to go back to 2.1. I have a backup but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be breaking anything by flashing to it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm about to install Cyanogen on my HTC magic (three australia), mostly so i can connect to uni's WPA-EAP network. However, i'm a little nervous about bricking my phone or finding that the cyanogen rom is too buggy or not as good as the stock one. Is there a way i can back up the rom that is on my phone at the moment, so that i can revert to the factory one if i change my mind?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI flashed one of manup's fonts. I like it, but how do I go about getting my stock font back. I've done some searching and can't find a download or this topic anywhere. Maybe I'm missing something simple.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I wanted to go back to my stock OS, is just flashing an OTA update all I need? I am fine jumping from ROM to ROM right now, but I was thinking what if I wanted to back to stock. What would I do.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo and I want the original launcher (Rounded with phone in the middle) for the phone. Is there a way to do that? is there and apk for that? or is there a way to get all the stock widgets to work with Launcher Pro.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm so frustrated with MMS.I can't get them to send using Handcent or ChompSMS without numerous forwarding attempts. I can receive them immediately with no problems from other people even on differenct carriers, but they won't send.I finally got my SMS to stop crashing/force closing and deleting all my messages by uninstalling the Antivirus app. Im on day two (since the uninstall) without a force close.I had no problem sending MMS until I installed Handcent. I even uninstalled Handcent.Rebooted and re-installed. No outgoing MMS without 2 or 3 message forwards. I tried the Airplane Mode trick. No change. After uninstallling Handcent again, I chose ChompSMS to see if that works. Same thing.it's a no go for sending out. The stock messaging app is the only one that works, but it's so BORING.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI know there are a few topics on this already, but I'm not really following them. Can someone give me a way to get back to stock and be able to download updates again?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently started trying out ADW and LauncherPro, and the one thing Ive noticed is that when I add a widget/app to a page I can no longer seem to get it to fullscreen like it came stock.
On my sense layout, the calendar is a full page display of the month, whereas now when I try to add it it shows up as a small 2x2 notepad date that I have to click to get to the full month. Its the same with the stock music player. I small widget compared to the near fullscreen one Ive been used to.
Is it possible? I want to get rid of root, return to stock recovery, stock everything, so I can start fresh and start over. I don't know if it's possible. Is it? If it is, how do you do it?

My bootup is still UltimateDroid while I try to get to stock. Anyone know what to do?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just purchased an incredible (couldn't resist lol).. And now I am trying to sell my droid on ebay (if anyone is interested let me know!), but whenever I used RomManager to revert back to stock image. I get an error and it fails. I have already ported my number over to my incredible, so I can only use wifi. So what other way is there to go back to stock so I can wipe the device and sell it. Or is there some other way that I am not thinking of? Something on the phone, like stock image I can flash through clockwork recovery and be done? (if so anyone have a link?)
View 1 Replies View RelatedFinally couldn't take it any longer and installed the RUU then hours later I hear that the Official update.zip is slightly different with a change to gmail (and frankly, at this point, who knows what else.) Also I am seeing "make sure you have the correct "baseband"(?) So for me and I would imagine a few others. Can someone make this a nice clean and complete how to get from RUU to update.zip thread? I have seen a lot of bits and pieces of what it takes.

View 18 Replies View RelatedWant to flash back to stock and update to the "official" 2.2 Can I do this in short order or is it fairly troublesome?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI am not planning on doing this, but this just popped into my head. If you have installed a custom kernal while rooted, and you want to flash back to 2.2, do you need to install the stock kernal.
View 5 Replies View Relatedso I took the leap the same night the froyo leak was out. I was on rooted 2.1 and followed the steps of intalling the ota and then re-rooted and installed the leaked froyo.I tried most of the fixes, but would rather wait for the "real" Froyo OTA. My question is simple, do I have to remove the effects of the OTA (downgrade the hboot) before I re-flash to a stock 2.1 or will the 2.1 reflash take care of that?
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the Droid X i want to try to use the froyo update that was leaked before however, I am worried about as to whether or not I can flash back to the stock OS. I see how to do it for other phones and know how to do it for the original droid with much help however, I do not want to do the update until I know there is a way to revert back to 2.1 Also I am using the leaked NON ROOTED 2.2 update if I get an answer on here. I do not like to root only because I am a noob.

View 1 Replies View Relateda few days ago I was flashing my phone and had a power outage when I was almost done. Now I get can't it to show up on RSL or ADB. It's lagging like crazy. I did resets, I've been searching for 3 days for a way how to just put this phone (behold 2) back to stock, and I can't find a damn thing. I always hate to ask for help but I really need it. This thing freezes and randomly reboots by itself all day long. It's pretty useless. Does anyone have or know of a file I can download and flash or use in some other way to take my phone back to stock condition?
