View 8 RepliesWhen trying to do 720p recording the camera freezes, turns black and requires a battery removal. I got about 3 seconds of 720p recording but even when I go in to view the video it freezes or lags severely to the point I need to remove the battery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have taken videos with the Droid in the past, but the past few days, as soon as i toggle the camera switch UP to capture a video, it gives me a force close screen. i have restarted the phone a few times, but same thing..
also, sometimes the camera button does nothing when trying to use it to bring up camera , i have to manually go to drop down list of apps to get to it. not a HUGE problem, but still a problem when it doesn't do what its made to do.
My camera stopped working. When I click my camera application I get the message "The application camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". It's just a blank screen?

I'm more concerned about fine tuning the video Settings even though i know both the Camera/Camcorder share the same settings.

It appears ThorstenW is correct. I would upvote your answer if I had enough rep. You can see from the logcat that com.android.camera could not be found and throws a fatal exception. Logcat below.

I remarked to my wife that the video shot with my new EVO looked like home movies from when we were kids. I then saw that the EVO shoots at 24 fps which explains the home movie video look. Will/can the Froyo update improve the video and or camera quality? It's not a deal breaker but when you have kids it's nice to have a video camera with you at all times. I've got 3 more weeks left on my 30 day trial period. I know the i Phone 4 will shoot at 30 fps and the test images I've seen are considerably better than my EVO.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI update my Desire to 2.2 last week and was excited to try out 720p video recording. I slid out the panel on the screen and chose video, it switches to video but then the camera app just quits and I can't use the video camera. This happens every time I switch to video and I've tried turning my phone off and on again many times and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've searched on line and no one seems to be having this issue. Any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn the behold 2 there is no light when in the video mode like with the regular behold. Sometimes I would like to shoot videos of the kids outside at night but the lighting is bad. I downloaded momentflash and love it. I used that while video recording it worked great. My only concern is the warning with momentflash that says
"overuse of the flash may damage it especially in bright mode" Is there anything that can be done to have a light when recording? Or to dim the light a bit?
Am I missing something? I can't get the Droid X to zoom in video mode.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWould I be right in thinking that when you are using the video camera you can't use the zoom function? I pressed every button and touched the screen a few times but nothing did it, had to stop filming, zoom in and start again.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo finally a video camera app is out on the market, pretty decent. Promises of bug fix and overall update in the next 5 days in good to know. Question is, has anyone else gotten it and it makes ur G1 sound kinda like a computer. Let me explain, when im phone is on, sense i downloaded the app, i can hear my phone running, kinda like how u can hear ur computer run, it makes wierd little sounds like its computing something, kinda weird i know. Kinda bugs me but I'll survive, anyone else having this problem though?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat do you guys use for your camera application on the Evo? What would give me the best pictures/video?
I have camera zoom but I am not sure that, that is the best application. I would like picture quality over functionality.
Any word on whether or not the Evo will have image stabilization for the video camera? I had a Vado HD for a while but the shaky video drove me crazy!
