View 3 RepliesI know the Fascinate has no dedicated camera button, and I can't seem to find an app/hack for it, but is it possible this is in the works? Is it possible to reroute one of the hard buttons for this purpose? I know a lot of people would like it, but being that it seems to not exist at this point, I'm guessing it may be an impossibility? Any info would be appreciated.

I have camera zoom but I am not sure that, that is the best application. I would like picture quality over functionality.
Any word on whether or not the Evo will have image stabilization for the video camera? I had a Vado HD for a while but the shaky video drove me crazy!

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I use my camera, camcorder, or just open up picture gallery or vid my phone will just restart, no clue why. I told tmobile that and she said it could be my SIM so I get a new one and that doesn't help. I'm about ready to call them and get a new one through my warranty.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have 2 mp4 video files for playing in Android.
Here is the information on both those files:
CODE:....
When playing mp4 File 1 (low bit rate) in Android Emulator 2.2 & device, both audio and video gets played out successfully.
But, when playing mp4 File 2 (high bit rate) in Android Emulator 2.2 & device, only the audio gets played out successfully whereas the video doesn't get displayed. The progress bar shows the progressing of the video but the actual video is not visible. Only black screen is visible. But when trying to pull the progress bar, the video frame at that particular position gets displayed like an image.
I am not sure of what the problem might be with the high bitrate video file. Does anybody know the reason for this issue? Are there any known problems in playing high bit rate videos in Android? What is the maximum recommended bit rate / frame rate values for the mp4 videos in Android? Will changing any of the above-mentioned parameters of mp4 File 2 fix this issue?
If this is possible with the current version. If any of you have a ps3 and would be willing to give it a try, please tell me what happens. Hack your PS3 with your Android: NexusOne or Desire | PS3 Hacks :: PS3 Homebrew :: PS3 Downloads

Supposedly The original galaxy S root hack is supposed to work with all versions of which should include the Samsung Vibrant.
While taking apart my Galaxy I broke the copper ribbon to the lock button and now I cannot unlock the phone! Is there a hack or other way to unlock this phone? It currently has Galaxo 1.6.3.3
I can probably boot into recovery and flash any zip but currently I cannot get to the home screen as it is locked so Lock 2.0 or other Market app is not a solution.
Am I wrong, or does the stock Music Player NOT show the butyrate of MP3 files, only the filesize? WTF?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wanted to know if it is possible to improve to improve audio recorded during a video??
I mean I can record video at 720p 25 fps, but the DAMN audio gets recorded at 12 kbps!!
It's just tinny and annoying sound cuts up all the time.
So it is it possible to increase the bitrate of audio via modifying some system file or changing some parameters in phones hidden settings or something like that?? my phone is a Chinese Zopo PILOT ZP100. .
btw, When I use Sound / voice recorder, it records in 3gppp at high setting with 127 kbps AAC audio.
I have a video converter that converts some WMV/MOV/MPG files to H264 video formats. And, I am transferring these H264 videos to Motorola Droid device. These transferred videos are playing fine on device. However, when I check the video properties, it is has "Bitrate" as 0 KBPS. Whereas for the same video, the bitrate is displayed properly on PC.

It appears ThorstenW is correct. I would upvote your answer if I had enough rep. You can see from the logcat that com.android.camera could not be found and throws a fatal exception. Logcat below.

I remarked to my wife that the video shot with my new EVO looked like home movies from when we were kids. I then saw that the EVO shoots at 24 fps which explains the home movie video look. Will/can the Froyo update improve the video and or camera quality? It's not a deal breaker but when you have kids it's nice to have a video camera with you at all times. I've got 3 more weeks left on my 30 day trial period. I know the i Phone 4 will shoot at 30 fps and the test images I've seen are considerably better than my EVO.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI update my Desire to 2.2 last week and was excited to try out 720p video recording. I slid out the panel on the screen and chose video, it switches to video but then the camera app just quits and I can't use the video camera. This happens every time I switch to video and I've tried turning my phone off and on again many times and it hasn't fixed the issue. I've searched on line and no one seems to be having this issue. Any ideas?
