I currently use the battery life widget but I feel it drains my battery looking for peoples opinions on the various apps out there for this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMotorola Droid user coming from iPhone here. One of the features I miss is having the battery percentage indicated in the status bar next to the little icon (in fact, I'd rather just have the percentage rather than the icon). Is there an app to show that in the status bar? It seems the precision of the battery meter is by 10% increments until it reaches 20%, but even that would be better than just the icon.
View 8 Replies View Relatedwhats the best battery status app out there in your opinion. In terms of features, status it shows and of course accuracy.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe battery status is horrible. Why does it look like it's at 50% when at 30%? I downloaded an app that puts the percentage in the status bar, but it's at the top left in notifications. Is there an app that replaces the current icon with one with a percentage or, at least, is more accurate? I doubt there is. I didn't find anything on Marketplace or through search.

I know this comes in some ROMs and maybe some themes, anyone seen a stand alone option for people in root to add this ability in the MENU bar, not the task bar?

Any other device have a stronger battery you can use? 2) when the green light is on, it means it is fully charged right? however when i go to the desktop app it shows you the percentage of charge, it is only ever in the 90's% when the green light comes on. something wrong with my battery? it still carries on charging but the green light comes on so early.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI was using satnav at the weekend; the battery level indicator on my Desire went from green to orange (20%) and the existent data connection dropped off straightaway. I was unable to re-establish a data connection even after switching the phone off and on again. I was in an area of reasonable/good network signal strength. The GPS continued to function however so I could still see my progress on the map but a data connection message appeared.
When I got home the phone continued to function on WiFi (with GPS on too) for nearly another two hours before it turned itself off, so there was plenty of "juice" left. My question is as to whether there is anything I can adjust to ensure that the battery continues to function fully (ie maintain a data connection) until it runs out? Or whether at 20% the phone is somehow set up to end a data connection? I have now got myself an HTC car charger to make sure the battery will not drop that low again when I am using satnav.
Over the last few days the battery indicator LED stays orange instead of turning green when the phone is on charge but has fully charged.
The phone is switched off and left on charge over night, for the last 4 months since Ive had the phone when I get up in the morning the battery indicator LED has turned green to show that the battery is fully charged, as it should do. Its just since the weekend it now stays orange. The battery is charging as well as before, and when I switch it on in the morning its at 100%, so why is it staying orange when its fully charged?I was wondering if anyone has come accross this problem before and has any idea where the fault would lie. I dont personally know what exactly would be causing the handset to not detect the battery is fully charged? Also if the phone isnt detecting that the battery is fully charged could it cause any problems if it carrys on charging instead of cutting off the charger after its fully charged?Apart from this the phone is working perfectly and my battery life is pretty good for a Desire from what ive read online.
I think we should use this thread to recommend and help people looking for apps.
I'm looking for a specific battery app that adds a % value to the green battery bar at the top of the phone. I don't want a widget on the screen or anything else. Just to add a numerical value to the battery bar.
I have finally gotten my notif. bar just right. i used the 24k theme and changed the battery icon to green and slowly changes to yellow then red. Like this
100-green
80-green
60-yellow
40-yellow
20-red
0-red
charge-red
Then reverse order while charging i manually changed the Hue and Saturation of every icon in gimp and can upload them if anyone would like them.
I liked the battery icon but not the color and i didn't know if anyone out there would like to have them!
I have uploaded the pics of them let me know what you think!
THESE ARE NOT MY ORIGINAL IMAGES I CHANGED THEM AND I AM NOT TAKING OWNERSHIP OF THEM JUST PUTTING MY SPIN ON THEM!
I'm new to the roms portion of rooted droids, and I Am looking for a specific rom. I want a black notification bar with white text and green battery. I want my stock droid icons, and froyo launcher Smoked glass theme would be cool.
Can anyone tell me any roms and or themes that meet this criteria? Screenshots would be Awesome. I was thinking ultimate droid but I had a hard time finding screenshots for their lates versions.
I had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
Battery Left was the first thing I installed on my phone when I got it. My battery life has been terrible so I've been trying to track down the problem. I woke up today, unplugged my phone and didn't touch it for an hour. Battery Left says I have 70 percent left but the battery meter in the status bar showed full. I uninstalled battery left and installed Battstatt and it shows 90 percent (2 hours later). Anyone else have problems with battery left? I hope this fixes my battery problem.

9 hr 40 min down 15% with moderate use. I use Exchange (with push turned on) ~125 emails, gmail, ~25 text and ~20 minutes in phone calls, Twitter, BBC news feed and No 4G. And just a note that I had a reboot in there, so that took a few % away.
How or where can I see battery status in percentages (%)? Can you tell me witch widgets is best for this, if I can't see this by default?
View 7 Replies View RelatedInfo about when the phone was last connected to the charger? I ran across that last night (my first day with the Evo) and I wanted to look at it again since I unplugged it in the middle of the night and don't remember when I did so. I've only had the phone since about 5 pm yesterday but I've put it through very heavy use and so far I'm 'very' pleased with the battery life. Definitely better than my Hero so far.

View 21 Replies View RelatedI'd like to be able to add some sort of battery percentage to my status bar that flows with the ICS theming (I have a Droid Pro running a CM9 port).

I could see that Samsung changed battery level thresholds compared to other Android releases (sources found on net). I have made a mod which changes the levels to the ones in the right column (source). Tested only on this 1.6 firmware: Baseband version I7500XXJB2, Build number Donut.XXJB6. Do not change /system/framework/framework-res.apk directly, the phone might not boot if it is not signed again after changing! Make all necessary backups!
You will need Metamorph to apply it, but since we have only 1.21 MB available on /system partition with this firmware, we will have to move Maps.apk to /data/app. The procedure (if you are not sure what each step does, do not proceed):
1. root the phone
2. copy busybox to /data/local/bin and give it execute permissions
3. install Metamorph from the Market
4. mount /system as RW (via "Root explorer", for example)
5. Run Metamorph. It will check for necessary files, and copy zip to /system/bin/zip. You can move it to /data/local/bin/zip to save some space on /system, and create symlink with this: ln -s /data/local/bin/zip /system/bin/zip
6. copy attached Galaxy-BatteryFix-v1.0.zip to /sdcard/AndroidThemes
7. move /system/app/Maps.apk to /data/app. It seems that Maps work fine from that location, after reboot.
8. apply theme from Metamorph
9. reboot
If you have problems with Metamorph and copying zip app, run this command:
ln -s /data/local/bin/busybox /system/bin/cp (after renaming /system/bin/cp to cp.old).
To restore the original, use Galaxy-BatteryFixRestore-v1.0.zip.
Finally available for non root guys. Here's the screenshot of my phone. And just email yourself this .apk and install from your phone.

[Mod] Remove Battery Icon from Status Bar
I was panicking a little yesterday as I thought I would miss the delivery of my new Desire. This was not the case at 5:30pm it arrived and it truly is an amazing phone. It took me around 4 hours to totally kill the battery from new (when you get the battery it only has a little charge in it) so this I was really pleased about, this was with WiFi on constantly and using it nonstop on twitter, flicker, taking photos, android market, internet browsing and basically just finding my ways around the menus as i've been out of the game for a while. I really think that the worries I was having about not liking it and reverting back to my iPhone are blown out of the window, this device really has blown me away and the integrated twitter app Peep is also very good, although I am now using tweetcasterPRO. It had a full charge last night so I am going to hammer the phone today to see how quickly I can get the battery to go flat so I have a rough idea if one charge will last me through the day.
