View 8 RepliesI currently use the battery life widget but I feel it drains my battery looking for peoples opinions on the various apps out there for this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe battery status is horrible. Why does it look like it's at 50% when at 30%? I downloaded an app that puts the percentage in the status bar, but it's at the top left in notifications. Is there an app that replaces the current icon with one with a percentage or, at least, is more accurate? I doubt there is. I didn't find anything on Marketplace or through search.
View 12 Replies View RelatedHas anyone noticed the differences in using the two maps in terms of location accuracy? Specifically with GPS off. I don't expect either app to be extremely accurate in finding my location with GPS off, but what's odd is that Google Maps put's me about .25 miles WNW of my actual location while AT&T Maps put's my location .25 ENE of my actual location. You would think that the operating system determines the location and provides the app of that information, but that doesn't seem to be the case (since the two maps are showing different locations).

View 2 Replies View RelatedBattery Left was the first thing I installed on my phone when I got it. My battery life has been terrible so I've been trying to track down the problem. I woke up today, unplugged my phone and didn't touch it for an hour. Battery Left says I have 70 percent left but the battery meter in the status bar showed full. I uninstalled battery left and installed Battstatt and it shows 90 percent (2 hours later). Anyone else have problems with battery left? I hope this fixes my battery problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for widgets...one widget for all would be nice.
but one that tells me my batter, 3g, how many bars, and what my status is (vibrate or not)
basically everything on the notification bar
I was wondering what your guys battery status was. Mine is at 30% left. Unplugged 5 Hours. 42% display total time 1:56 min. 39% browser 1:22 min. I was wondering if someone get similar figures.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that'll allow the default status bar on my Droid to show the battery life in percentages. I know I've seen a screenshot of this somewhere, but I can't seem to do a search here or find it on the Marketplace.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a battery application that goes more in-depth then just "android system". I wanna know which specific app helped my battery go from green to red.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMotorola Droid user coming from iPhone here. One of the features I miss is having the battery percentage indicated in the status bar next to the little icon (in fact, I'd rather just have the percentage rather than the icon). Is there an app to show that in the status bar? It seems the precision of the battery meter is by 10% increments until it reaches 20%, but even that would be better than just the icon.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been hearing a lot of complaints about the EVO battery. I've played around a lot with a friends Incredible, and while it's doesn't have what I'd call "excellent battery life," it's "decent" in my opinion. With the tweaks one can do on an EVO, will the EVO last as long as an Incredible? Or does the Incredible just blow it out of the water in terms of battery life?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've determined an estimate of the size of my Android emulator's screen in pixels, although I think its resolution can be changed to other numbers. Quite frankly though that doesn't eliminate the general problem of not knowing how many pixels on each axis I have to work with on my Android applications in general. The main problem I'm trying to solve is this: How do I make sure I don't use a faulty resolution on Android applications if I want to keep things' sizes constant (so that if the application screen shrinks, for instances, objects will still show up just as big - there just won't be as many of them being shown) if I wish to do this with a single universal resolution for each program? Failing that, how do I make sure everything's alright if I try to do everything the same way with maybe a few different pre-set resolutions?
Mainly it seems like a relevant question that must be answered before I can come across a complete answer for the general problem is how big can I always make my application in pixels, NOT regarding if and when a user resizes the application's screen to something smaller than the maximum size permitted by the phone and its operating system.I really want to try to keep this simple. If I were doing this for a modern desktop, for instance, I know that if I design the application with a 800x600 canvas, the user can still shrink the application to the point they're not doing themselves any favors, but at least I can basically count on it working right and not being too big for the monitor or something. Is there such a magic resolution for Android, assuming that I'm designing for API levels 3+ (Android 1.5+)?
I read the thread about swype accuracy going to hell, and checked to make sure that wasn't the case for mine. For me its not totally unusable, but in the last week I've noticed severely diminished accuracy. If I totally focus I can swype with few errors, but as soon as I try to resume the speed that I used a week ago, swype's accuracy drops to about 50%, many of the suggested words aren't words I've ever used.
Another issue I'm having is the pop-up tutorial when I select a word other the the first suggestion. I've been through every setting and nothing will stop the tutorial pop-up
Does anybody know of an application that could mimic SE phones of old in terms of call / ringing profiles? Ya know, you could either have "Meeting", "Indoors", "Silent" etc.I know you can hold down the power button to get a couple of options there, but I would really love to be able to switch between different profiles, with maybe having a few extra options in order to switch to a "Power Saver" profile for example.

Innos i6c (Xperia Style)
I've had my DroidX since it was released and have been satisfied by the Swype keyboard. However, this morning when I went to use it, it's accuracy appears to have taken a major nosedive. Hello becomes Bello, this becomes toda, for becomes fue, etc. It's unusable. But when I use it as a regular keyboard by pressing the individual keys, it works fine. This is in portrait mode, btw.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there an app that shows what is using the battery? On my Droid it would actually show what was using the battery: Display, slacker, dolphin, live wallpapers, etc. On my X when I check battery usage the only thing it ever says is: display, cell standby, phone idle. It never shows live wallpaper, slacker, or anything else I run. I am wondering how much battery these other apps are using, particularly the live wallpaper. Any suggestions for a 3rd party app I can run for a couple days to see what is really using my battery.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat app would allow me to do this? I installed spare parts and it just tells me how many times i have used things, not the % of the battery they are draining.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust spent 20 minutes searching for this to no avail, so sorry if answered elsewhere. I am rooted. I need a good battery app that will also read my extended battery. Maybe one that has two profiles, and accurately reads both. I'd also prefer percentages in all numbers, not just 10s, but not a deal breaker. Anything out there? The descriptions on the apps themselves are not very in-depth and don't want to keep installing and taking off.
View 3 Replies View Relatedyes, it is . I charged it up Sunday night. Monday evening I still had over 60%. Monday night I did not plug it in, I tuned off 3G though. This morning the battery status still showed ~60%. So what did I do (or what did I NOT do)?
(1) I did not do the battery discharge-recharge thingy. BTW, if you really *fully* discharge a Li-ion battery you will kill it.
(2) I did not download any task killer/manager. This is supposed to be a smart phone to kill things when needed.
(3) I do not use the Home button at all. I always use the back button. my awake time is about 10%
(4) I do autosync, but my WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS is off.
I admit I am not a heavy user, though I have used up about 50 Mb data in 2 days. Peter

9 hr 40 min down 15% with moderate use. I use Exchange (with push turned on) ~125 emails, gmail, ~25 text and ~20 minutes in phone calls, Twitter, BBC news feed and No 4G. And just a note that I had a reboot in there, so that took a few % away.
