Yesterday, I got a text from Sprint. Right then I noticed that it was now the only text thread in my list. Tried rebooting phone. Still gone. Not a huge deal, but it would have sucked if I had something important that I didn't want to lose. I checked my settings and I am not set to purge anything. Is this a possible side effect of 2.2?

When I woke up this morning all of my texts were gone. I do not have anything set to delete them. Why would the phone delete all of my messages?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did attempt to use the search feature here but didnt come up with the results I was looking for (or maybe I used it wrong?) I ask the following questions because unfortunately, I dont have good eyesight.
1. Regarding font size. I realize there is no current setting for font size on this phone (that I know of) does anyone here know if the upcoming 2.1 update will include that?
2. I know there is a text size option for the browser. However, it doesent seem to work on most websites I go to (like CNN for example) I try setting it at different sizes and nada. So far my browsing experience hasent been that good because of this (having to constantly strain my eyes looking at website text) Any tips on why the text size option doesent seem to work?
3. is there anyway to increase the text size of emails and text messages?
If I need to paste text from another app in my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy SII, O2, Jelly Bean), like from Google Keep or Docs, into a text message it tends to convert from an SMS to MMS. This leads to a charge for me as my SMS messages are included in my tariff but I have no allowance for MMS messages. I presume that this might be something to do with character encoding or other formatting data that is pasted in, but that is only a guess.
Is there any way to stop short messages from being converted to MMS messages like this:? I couldn't find any 'paste clipboard as plain text' option in Android Jelly Bean.
My android market has vanished there's a white box that now says apps.google.vendor.apk or something like that I have run 3 diffrent anti viruses..they all found nothing..so here's my question, how do I re-install my market?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust last night, my lock screen (standard lock screen, no weird app or anything) vanished. When I press the power button, the screen turns off, but when I press it again, it turns back on directly to the home screen. No more lock screen. I can also do this by pressing the trackball but not the 'call' button.At first though this was great, but I've pocket dialed 2 people already.I tinkered around in the settings but didn't find anything. Maybe I've overlooked the obvious.

Now my problem, I was recently running out of internal memory (which was 8 GB) so I formatted my internal memory from my computer. After that my internal memory has disappeared. Now I keep receiving a "damaged storage" message. When I touch it, a format option comes up but when I format it a message appears "checking for errors" but nothing happens. I tried reseting my device but no luck there. I can still access the external memory sd card.
P.S. My device is not rooted
I have the motorola droid. I got the handcent app because I really like all the customization options within it. However, lately I have been having this annoying problem. Sometimes when I have just sent a message, when I press the home button to return to the homescreen, it goes home but all my apps have vanished. I can go through my menu and replace them all to where they were, or I can reboot the phone and that usually corrects it. It is still annoying and is really putting me off the app. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know if there is a specific cause or how I can correct it?

I've also experienced receiving 10 messages at once bc they were not coming through. Finally, I am sometimes not receiving a message or two. I was with Verizon previously for about 10 years and did not experience an issue. Do I have a Sprint problem or an Evo problem.

It's fine when I have the ringer turned up, but when I am in a movie or somewhere where I have my phone on vibrate, it doesn't vibrate when I receive a text message. Does anyone know how to make it vibrate when receiving a text message when the ring volume is on vibrate, and not vibrate when receiving a text message when the ring volume is up?

When I try to text here it lags like crazy (I assume because it has all the messages on that page). I am using android 2.x and I have four bitmaps drawn on a canvas, now i want to replace "yahoo" image with some other image and that image's size is different than "yahoo" image. Now what i want is , i want to rub the yahoo image and replace it with the new one but in such a way that if i rub "yahoo" image then images that are laying in the background don't get disturbed or vanished.
