HTC EVO 4G : Alarm Wont Stop Ringing When It Goes Off
Aug 5, 2010Man after the unofficial update (.3) every morning when the alarm goes off it wont stop ringing.I have to be turning off the phone every time.

HTC Desire :: Alarm Won't Stop Ringing
Jul 13, 2010is it just me or do you all have to manually turn off the alarm clock? The default one that you get with the phone i.e. If I don't turn it off then it will keep ringing indefinately. According to me, a normal alarm clock would ring for about a minute before putting itself on snooze. Sometimes the alarm won't stop ringing after I turn it off either, so then I'll have to turn off the phone.

Dec 5, 2008No matter how many times I click "dismiss," if I hold down the home button, the "Alarm" 'app' is still running, and if I switch to it, it's still ringing.I'm using the default Alarm Clock app that comes with the G1.I've searched around a bunch and haven't found other people with this problem.

Aug 16, 2010For the last 3 months I've been turning my ringer to 'medium' (1/2 the bar) before bed and turning off my notifications for yahoo and sync so my gmail alerts won't wake me in the middle of the night. Then my alarm will go off as normal in the morning and I have to turn back on my yahoo notification sound and click the sync button to get my gmail messages.Just now my better half informed me that on his Dinc you can have it on silent or vibrate modes and the alarm still goes off as normal. I tested it on mine and it was the same. Okay, I'm half annoyed because I've been taking all these extra steps to silence my phone before bed and half annoyed because what's the point of having silent mode if the alarm is accidentally set during a meeting or a movie and it will go off? I'm also 1/2 pleased (yes, too many halves) that I now can just avoid unnecessary actions with my phone before bed every single night. My old LG Voyager had an "alarm only" setting (in addition to vibrate/silent /ringer) which makes more sense to me than "vibrate with alarm ring" or "silent with alarm ring". If my Voyager was set to vibrate and the alarm went off, it would just repeatedly vibrate. I am somewhat worried (always paranoid) that this is some kind of glitch and I'll have it set to vibrate overnight and one morning instead of ringing for my alarm it'll just vibrate over and over and I won't wake up. Being late to work is one of my biggest fears Is this the norm with other Dincs? I tried searching but there are so many alarm threads and questions and I am too tired to keep looking.

Dec 29, 2009at night i'll "silence" the phone (using volume keys) to alarm only/ringer volume X so other notifications don't go thru and alarm wakes me up in the morning. so far it failed 3 times even tho i have 2 different alarms set at two different times alarm did not ring at all. i know for a fact i didn't snooze/dismiss it because as soon as the alarm goes off i'm up.i'm a blackberry convert and it never failed on it while phone was in phone calls only mode.is there something i'm doing wrong or what?

Jan 14, 2010Another question. Has anyone randomly seen their lock screen and alarm notification disappear?
It seems to happen when I get new notifications. I can see it happen maybe 50% of the time when i get a text, but have seen it other times just disappear when going into email or something. I can always get it back just by opening the alarm program i'm using.
I have seen this happen with the stock moment alarm and gentle alarm. Klaxon will disappear for a moment and re-appear at times when others would have probably disappeared.
For txt i'm using the application the moment came with. using gmail and moxier. not too much notification add-ons minus that except craigsnotifica.
any thoughts? i talked with the developer for gentle alarm and he couldn't reproduce it...

Mar 9, 2010I tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.

Aug 6, 2010This morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)
Anyone else see anything like this? I'm on OTA 2.1

Basically I use my phone as an alarm to get up for work. My old Nokia N96 I could set the alarm and then switch the phone off at night and the alarm would still go off on time. This does not seem to be the case with the X10i. It doesn't even go off when the phones in airplane mode which is poor. I just don't want to have to leave my phone on overnight in case it rings and i wake up.
Are there any good alarm apps that allows you to turn the phone off and the alarm would still ring at 6.30 for work?

As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???

Dec 24, 2012I was using AlarmDroid as my alarm clock. Every thing was fine, until I had always 2 alarms (somehow) every morning, but in AlarmDroid there was only 1 event. After that I had some weird things, like the alarm was starting too early or too late. So I uninstalled this, somehow unstable app, and installed Alarm Clock Xtreme - everything is fine with Clock Xtreme. Exception: one of the alarm that I was using in AlarmDroid is still there! But there is no more AlarmDroid on my phone. Wondering how this is working.
I install AlarmDroid again, just to be sure to delete the event, but there is no event. But there is always the alarm. With and without AlarmDroid. What can I try to solve this stuff? Maybe its not that important but Im using a Nexus S with stable cyanogenmod 10.

Feb 5, 2010There have been numerous times that someone calls me and my phone only rings once or twice before sending them to voicemail. But when I talk to them they say it had rang on their end lots of times before sending them to my voicemail. Anyone else having this problem and how can I fix it?

Jun 22, 2010One thing I'm really not liking about the EVO is the ringing/vibrating settings. When I have the volume all the way up I want the vibrating option to be turned off. When I set the phone to vibrate I want it to vibrate. But since I have that option disbabled I have to go in and activate the vibration for notifications. Plus I had to download sound manager to make sure my phone vibrates! Wow, this phone does almost everything, but this little thing is annoying as hell. Is there an app that will help with audio/vibration profiles?

Aug 28, 2010I'm developing an application for Android 2.2 that should send an SMS immediately when the phone starts ringing (under UMTS/GSM). I'm using the android.telephony.SmsManager.sendTextMessage for sending the SMS. The app is working fine under the emulator, i.e. when I call the emulator phone from another emulator, the SMS is sent instantly. However, when I'm testing the application on HTC Desire, the SMS sending only succeeds after the phone has stopped ringing. Is there anything that could be done about this or is it just a restriction of the HTC Desire device? Seems strange as it's working fine under emulator and it shouldn't be a restriction of the network..

Nov 24, 2010My wife just got the D2 a few weeks ago. It was working flawlessly. We put on a Azure case and Skinomi cover on the front screen 2 weeks ago. Starting last week she started to had a few of occasions it doesn't ring but goes straight to voice mail. Not always from the same caller. No unusual apps running. She also always has her Data turned off because she has the $15 dollar plan. She only uses the wifi's. She is not using Google voice. She is getting to the point that she is wondering if she should take her phone back because she has no clue who is calling because it does not say missed call she only knows if they call if they leave a voice mail.

May 25, 2010Used to use Rings Extended and Ringdroid, but uninstalled when I could no longer get SMS or any notification tones to ring. Alarms etc still work. When I go to Settings->Sounds & Display->Notification Ringtone and select from either Android System or any other ringtone program I try, any tone plays when I select it. But no tone for sms, email or notifications.

Now my phone will not ring and there is no media sound. I went into the menu and everything is on. I have not done anything to cause this issue. I reset the phone 2 times and still no sound.
