I have an EVO and I have downloaded a few things and it will only allow me to download to the sd card. Then it says download complete. My question is how the heck do i access the sd card to view it?

I find the SDHC 8 GB in the phone and i have formated it.
I've done 30 minutes of searching on the site, read a bunch of threads about file management, SMS/handcent and I still don't have an answer to this: Where in god's name is handcent storing files that were sent via SMS?
I clicked "download" in handcent and received confirmation that the image downloaded. Already have a file manager installed, have browsed pretty much every directory on the phone and the sd card looking for the file, to no avail.
I have downloaded zipped files before and not sure how to access them...

I've had SholesMod 2.05 on my phone and haven't loaded any other Roms, did I lose root somehow and if I did how come ROM Manager doesn't re-root? I can still get into recovery by power+x.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI havent been able to find the zip or rar files my phone downloads (or at least I think it has downloaded) through the Browser app.
THe very first time I tried this it worked fine. i downloaded a zip file from filestube and it immediately showed up in the notification bar that it was downloading. When it was done i clicked the notification and i unzipped it with androzip or something like that. Worked like a charm...
But now i have tried many times, and i never get any confirmation that any download has begun in the notification bar or anything. The only thing that leads me to believe that some download is actually taking place is that, for instance, if iam downloading from megaupload, if i click the download button 2x it will take me to window saying that "this i.p address is already downloading a file".
But i cant find any evidence of this on the phone? I have looked through all the folders on the sd card, but no luck.
I'm looking to see how to move my downloaded apps to my card, looked through the and haven�t been able to find it yet.

So while I have them on my homescreen and I reboot my phone they will not show up anymore. When I download an app, does it save to the phones memory or the SD card?? Also, when I'm in "bulk storage" mode when plugged into my PC via the USB, I assume the window that pops up is the SD card as opposed to the phone memory?? Is there any way to check what is saved to either location?

I was told to try AppMonster, which has an option to Backup to SD. I do this and it says it's successful but my internal memory isn't going down. Does this just copy the files there as opposed to move them there? If so, is the another way/app to move the files?

I did the nandroid. I did the titanium. i flashed using rom manager and selected clear cache/data.
ROM loaded perfectly.. and when i went to titanium to restore, nothing was there!
I plugged the phone into the computer, and i can't even view the card.
I can browse the phone's memory, but not the cards.
I'm hoping there's some adb command or something that'll fix this...

http://api.test.com/userinfo/vid?=1234. So I do the following with a WebView:

but the authentication doesn't seem to work, I'm just getting an output error page. Am I using the WebView method correctly here?

and it pulls the page fine. I tried every combination of the host parameter, the owners of the api don't know what I mean by 'realm' though (and neither do I) - what info could I give them to help this along?

This doesn't seem like the right behavior. I've tried it with other views inside the FooView hierarchy and findViewById() always returns null.
For the life of me I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Does anyone know if there is a simpler way to access SD card info from the phone, other than using the Astro app? I would like to open the SD card from the phone without seeing all the other files on the phone. I simply want to see files on the card.....pics, music, ringtones, movies, etc......not every file and program on the damn phone. I love my EVO, but this issue really annoys me.
