HTC Droid Eris :: Remove Apps Off Of The All Programs Screen ?

I am relatively new to posting here, but have been reading the posts here for quite some time. Thanks for the great info that you all provide.
I have 2 questions about the All Programs screen ......
Is there a way to re-arrange the order of the way the apps are arranged on this page ? If so, how?
Secondly, how can I remove apps off of the All Programs screen ? I know that apps that I download from The Market will disappear once they have been 'uninstalled', but what about anything else such as "Amazon MP3", "Visual Voicemail", "Stocks", etc. ?
These are things (apps listed above ) I have NO interest in, but they crowd up my All Programs screen and force me to do a lot more scrolling (due to not being able to re-arrange my most used apps on this page, SO FAR).

I just bought an Eris and wanna get ride of some of the stock apps and junk from view in the all programs menu, ive searched but maybe im not using the right search words.

Is there any way to remove pre-installed programs?
For example, the following programs were pre-installed:
Amazon MP3
Footprints
Teeter
And maybe some others.
I've just tried:
Settings | Applications | Manage Apps
And noticed there's not always an option to Uninstall on these and some others.
Is it possible to remove, delete, uninstall, or get them off the device?
Is there any way to remove the pre-installed Sprint programs?
Sprint TV
Sprint-Nextel
NFL
Nascar
Are there some "core apps" or "core programs" that can't be removed?
A brief search on this matter on related threads seems to indicate only on "rooted" phones.

I have an Otter box Commuter for my Eris, and I love it. My one question is about the screen protector. Recently my trackball failed, and Verizon is sending me a replacement Eris. How can I take the screen protector off, and not damage it for use on the new one? Is this possible?

I notice certain games or applications. I download end up running in the background. Once I open up the "advanced task manager" or a free one I kill all the applications running and I notice over time or an hour the application come back up as running in the background? Any way to kill them any make them not come back? Just trying to get the phone to run smoother.
Also I have handcent SMS and notice that the regular messenger still is running even after I force close it it's still running. I can't un-install the normal messenger. Is there a way to get handcent SMS to be default or make that one run only and have the other one never run in the background?

I am looking for a bit of info and/or a tut on how to remove apps with the rooted 2.1 for the Eris ( BTW thanks to all the dev's for their hard work). I have installed the rooted 2.1 with out a hitch. I have been looking around to find out how to uninstall a few of the apps (amazon, stocks, tweet) and found people that say to use SDK's ADB or terminal. I understand what the terminal is and the SDK that google offers is but not the ADB. I also understand that there is a chance to brick by removing the wrong things. So I don't want to just make a careless mistake.

I am constantly finding programs running on my phone, regardless of what I've used. For instance, "Easy tether", which I never use while in town, would come up as "running". Any1 been able to do fun and exciting things to improve the android experience and/or fix bugs using Terminal editors, and the programs stored in /System/Bin? I've been playing around with some of them basically just looking @ command syntax for the different programs. Some of them seem promising, and some of them look like they can make ur eris into a stylish paperweight. One app i actviated was $ Toolbox, the only thing this did was echo back Toolbox! in the termina editor lol. Ive seen posts where ppl used dmesg to find out how the internal memory was partitioned. I'll admit i'm a total linux shell newb, but playing around with it is fun for me.

I was reading one of these threads, and someone mentioned that there was a way to stop apps from opening on launch.I have apps that randomly open by themselves and i want to prevent them from doing so. (VLC Remote, default messages, and a few others)I've posted enough good points that if this was said already i can get a freebee :P

I am fairly new to the Eris, and have had pretty good luck with battery life, until a couple days ago. I take it off the charger, and an hour later I am down to 80%. No WiFi, no GPS on, etc. I check with ATK and find Browser, Music, Mail, etc. all open. So, today after I took the Eris off its charger, I reboot it, then check ATK, kill any open programs, and go about my day.
2 hours later, I look, and my battery is at 74%! So I open ATK, and there is all these programs open again, and all I have done in that 2 hours is send a couple texts. The only change I made recently is I installed PandaHome, didn't really like any of the themes, and uninstalled it all. Could it have left something behind that is opening programs?

Does anyone else have this problem? After I search the market for apps and then return to my home screen, or any other screen, some text will remain on the bottom of the screen. It's basically the various word suggestions from my previous search. Note, I am using Better Keyboard. Not sure if this is a BK bug or not.
