May 25, 2010I have OTA with root and today i tried to update an app and it never downloads I've tried other apps and I get the same error and i was wondering if any one with the ota is having this problem or if it's just my phone. For me it just gets stuck on starting download.

Feb 5, 2010I just did a factory reset because I have tried out bunches of programs and just wanted to start fresh, I did it all the time on all my old phones(palm and winmo) with no problem. It turns out that when you do a reset, not only do you loose all your programs but the phone has to be registered to your account. I got it back up in running, wifi works and so does making phone calls, all my contacts and e-mails are synced and I thought everything was good. I went to the market and it even shows me all the apps I had installed previously, however when I tell it to install something, it just stays stuck on the "starting download.." message...........

Sep 22, 2009I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
HTC Droid Eris :: Market Fix Changed My Market Icon Back To Original
Apr 29, 2010I had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...

The droidmod forums are a goddamn ghost town, so I've decided to update to 2.1. Hopefully it will fix my problem. Now that my phone is unrooted, how can I force it to check for the 2.1 update? I remember reading about a number sequence that one dials, which forces the phone to check for updates.

Sep 28, 2010Yesterday, I noticed that the Social Networking app was not updating. I couldn't find any setting to sync it manually, so I figured maybe a factory reset would do the trick. So....after I did the reset, I noticed that none of my apps were downloading. They all said "downloading" but nothing was happening. So I ended up just restoring from a nandroid backup I did before the reset. Im glad to say that the Social Networking is updating now, but apps are still not downloading . I went to settings/applications/market and cleared the data and rebooted. Still nothing.

Now when I try to open the market it won't even bring up the terms and conditions so obviosely I have no access to the market. What do I do? Sep 1, 2010Where can I find the stock Android 2.1 icons for my Incredible? I am using LauncherPlus Pro and would like to replace the icons on the dock bar with standard Android ones. But, they are not usable in LPP unless I have the .png files or an icon pack.

Oct 21, 2010I was having apps hang on download from the appbrain market app. This was during an appbrain update. So I uninstalled appbrain. The downloads pending went through, but the appbrain update is now hanging in the downloads from the Android Marketplace. It just says "downloading." I can't kill the process. I have rebooted the phone, manually killed the process. I get this message: "Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then "Force Close." I want appbrain back, I love the service, but I don't know what to do.

Oct 28, 2010I installed an app yesterday, (appbrain web downloader) but couldn't get appbrain app to download, so I uninstalled the appbrain web app. Today I tried to update a couple apps, and niether would update- either I got a message that said download paused, with no way to re start, our it would just show it as downloading, but not making any progress. I tried to install another app off the market, just to see, and out wouldn't install either....

Jan 27, 2010When i get an email (gmail) and I attempt to download the rest of the message, it gives me an error and tells me that there's not enough space and instructs me to delete messages. After deleting almost all messages, i still get the same error.
Do the messages get stored on my card or device? SHould i delete my podcasts that rest on my card?
