View 4 RepliesO.K. I've seen in different themes or roms that the backgrounds are different than stock. Evil eris the robot on the dialer screen was blue. I've seen em pink. Seen em with checkerboard pattern across his midsection. Never seen a completely custom without the robot tho. My question is how do you change that screen and is the robot not removable? Can I just put some random picture that I think is cool at the time? Oh and how do I change the color of the call button and battery icon, if theres a way without installing other apps to do it?

View 18 Replies View RelatedI feel foolish as all get-out, but I have managed to put the screen on my Eris into an animated rotation mode. I.e. instead of snapping from horizontal to vertical, it rocks from side to side for a annoying period of time. I can't find the setting under 'display'
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two questions about wallpapers on my nexus one. First off, is there anyway to take a custom image that I have and I am using and put it into the list of "default" backgrounds so that when I change it I don't have to go through that resize hassle and everything and I can have it in a more organized location. Also are there any applications or tools out there to get great looking wallpapers for the nexus one. Sometimes when using an image it doesn't look that good and the selection thing when doing it from the gallery is annoying because of the selection has to be a square yet my screen is 800x480.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was watching a HTC hero commercial, and they have different backgrounds for each screen, creating a theme for each of the five screens.
I dont know of anyway to do this w/ the droid per se, however is there anyway someone could create 1 background w/ 3 pictures? That way, when you slide from screen to screen, you get 3 different backgrounds.
Any programs to change the background of the phone every few days automatically?

I have LPP and I've seen some pretty nice looking dock backgrounds. Can someone point me in the right direction?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI like how the blackglass928 theme adds color to a lot of the icons, and how it makes the background on widgets a "black glass" color.
Ex: for contact quick tasks, the background was not white like it is originally, but black glass, and the icons have red on the mail icon and green on the phone icon.
Does anyone know how to get these features without loading the rest of the theme? I don't like the other mods such as the dialer and mail, but just want the icons/blackglass.
Also, contact quick tasks will not display the blackglass background while in 4x1 mode, only in 1x1 and in the vertical settings. Anyone know how to get it to show up in 4 x 1 mode?
How do I send backgrounds to friends, and ringtones. I don't seem to see how to get this done, anyone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedHave to say this works great on my droid x given the dimensions.Love the option for blending wallpapers in the bg. Look forward to a larger widget option though similar to weatherbug's.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI do a lot of MMS where animated gifs and 3g2 files are quite common. After searching I found some old threads indicating android doesn't support anim. gif (back then), but found nothing on 3g2.
Is this still the case for gifs and what about 3g2? Different messaging app or browser perhaps? My bud's Hero plays anim. gifs fine and it runs android...

View 8 Replies View RelatedI was able to get the animated live wallpapers working on the 2.1 ROM (only Nexus does not work). Disclaimer: This can brick your phone and should only be done if you know what you are doing and are willing to take the risk, I bear no responsibility for your actions. Directions.
1. Download this zip file, it contains the necessary lib files and the live wallpaper files. wallpaper files - MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service lib files - MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
2. Unzip these files and place on your SDCARD. (I created 2 folders one named libs and the other app). You need to place the four Live wallpaper files in the app folder and the lib files need to be in the lib folder.
3. Restart your phone in the recover console.
4. Select mount sub-menu
5. mount sdcard and system
6. type busybox cp /sdcard/libs/* /system/lib
7. type busybox cp /sdcard/app/* /system/app
8. unmount both sdcard and system
9. restart your phone
just wondering if anyone thinks with the 2.1 update coming it might give us droid owners and nexus one ppl a similar animated weather wallpaper option like on the hd2..just a thought..would like to hear what people think
View 31 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to my local tv station's web site and try to view their animated weather radars, I can see them but they don't animate. Is this due to flash, something with the web site itself (not being mobile-specific), or am I just using the wrong app to view weather radars?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have several animated gif's I had converted over to png's with Fireworks 8 but when I place the frames in the folders part0 & part1 then use the developer SDK software and upload the bootanimation.zip files they will not work. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen we tried to display an animated gif image using image view, nothing was displayed on the screen. So, we are suspecting whether image view is not supporting animated gif.
If we place an animated gif file in gallery then thumbnail is not displayed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the backgrounds app and i love it. found some backgrounds right off the back that i liked and saved them. well when i saved the pics it says that they were saved to the sd card in the backgrounds folder. well when i go to my albums there is no backgrounds folder in there. so i figured i could hook it up over usb and just cut and paste them in a folder that i knew would show up in albums. strike 2. so i was fooling with the app and i found that they have photo frames that you can add a pic to and save them. well i tried that and a backgrounds folder appeared under albums but the backgrounds i saved still dont show up. strike 3.
