Motorola Droid :: How To Send Ringtones Via MMS?
May 30, 2010I have tried looking but can't seem to find any answers, forgive me if i didn't find it but it is out there. But I was figuring with the rooted phone that some developer out there would have been able to work the sending of ringtones(mp3) as a mms. Or has there been a app developed that will be able to do this. Please help. I have to admit that being able to do that has been one of the things that i miss about my blackberry.

Nov 22, 2009I was watching a HTC hero commercial, and they have different backgrounds for each screen, creating a theme for each of the five screens.
I dont know of anyway to do this w/ the droid per se, however is there anyway someone could create 1 background w/ 3 pictures? That way, when you slide from screen to screen, you get 3 different backgrounds.

Jun 6, 2010I have two questions about wallpapers on my nexus one. First off, is there anyway to take a custom image that I have and I am using and put it into the list of "default" backgrounds so that when I change it I don't have to go through that resize hassle and everything and I can have it in a more organized location. Also are there any applications or tools out there to get great looking wallpapers for the nexus one. Sometimes when using an image it doesn't look that good and the selection thing when doing it from the gallery is annoying because of the selection has to be a square yet my screen is 800x480.

Dec 1, 2010I like how the blackglass928 theme adds color to a lot of the icons, and how it makes the background on widgets a "black glass" color.
Ex: for contact quick tasks, the background was not white like it is originally, but black glass, and the icons have red on the mail icon and green on the phone icon.
Does anyone know how to get these features without loading the rest of the theme? I don't like the other mods such as the dialer and mail, but just want the icons/blackglass.
Also, contact quick tasks will not display the blackglass background while in 4x1 mode, only in 1x1 and in the vertical settings. Anyone know how to get it to show up in 4 x 1 mode?

Jan 4, 2010On most of my old phones I was Abel to send ringtones but with my hero I don't even see anywere I might be Abel to do that. I can't even find a folder for ringtones like on my old blackberry it had a folder for ringtons then it gave me options to do with each tone .

I am able to send everything else like pictures or other stuff, but for some reason there is no option to send a sound. WHY? Am I doing something wrong? Oct 11, 2010I have 8 or 9 ringtones downloaded into the music app from ringtone. All done prior to the Froyo update. Very easy, just download and wala, there they are. So, I just downloaded 3 more songs. Upload successful. Go to the music app and they aren't there. Downloaded them again, go to the music app....still not there, just the previous downloads. So, where are they? ON my sd card somewhere? How do I find them, no sense in keeping on downloading and eating space. Should I uninstall and reinstall due to Froyo?

Jul 15, 2010O.K. I've seen in different themes or roms that the backgrounds are different than stock. Evil eris the robot on the dialer screen was blue. I've seen em pink. Seen em with checkerboard pattern across his midsection. Never seen a completely custom without the robot tho. My question is how do you change that screen and is the robot not removable? Can I just put some random picture that I think is cool at the time? Oh and how do I change the color of the call button and battery icon, if theres a way without installing other apps to do it?

Sep 26, 2010I have some mp3s that I have used for ringtones on past phones (KRazr, Blackberry), and from what I've found, to add them to my Droid 2, I put them in the media/audio/ringtones folder on my SD card. I've done that, but they don't show up in my list. I've also tried restarting the phone (aks the Microsoft approach), but they're still not available. Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to put the files?

Aug 23, 2010Having a problem with Ringtones I've created in RingDroid getting reset. For example I made two ringtones for alarms and incoming calls in ringdroid, then set the phone up to use them. The problem comes when I reboot the phone. The phone ringtone and alarm ringtone both say "unknown ringtone" after that. I'm assuming this is because the ringtones are on the sdcard and that isn't mounted until the phone is already booted up.
