Mar 25, 2010Every time my sister in law forwards a message to my wife, it shows up that I sent the message. Has anyone seen this before and if so, how do I fix it?

May 28, 2010if you have multiple contacts with the same first name it is just automatically and randomly pulling a picture of one of them? If I have two friends named Dan, one on facebook and one that i actually call, it is pulling the picture of fb one and linking all the phone numbers in one contact! How can I fix this so it doesn't merge my contacts?!

Jun 3, 2010Sometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

May 18, 2010Somehow I changed the settings on my phone so that the predictive text has started prioritizing the names in my contact info when auto completing the text. For example, if I type "thr" it won't suggest "the" but "Theo". May 27, 2010I have several users at work who have the HTC Droid Eris. We allow our users to connect to our work email via IMAP. We have an issue where when a users receives forwarded email, they can't open it. It give them the option to save to the SD card, but when you click again on it, it still only gives you that option. I tried one of our users, who has the new incredible, and it works on his once he saves it to the sd card, it gives the option to open. Has anyone gotten this issue before, or is there a work around for it.

Nov 5, 2010I've been messing around with C2DM and have a nice little app working perfectly in the Emulator. I send a message from my app server to Google's C2DM servers, the message will arrive on the emulator and my app would respond appropriately.
My problem now is running the app on my smartphone (a Nexus One). The app runs fine and registers for C2DM with Google and then forwards it's rego ID to my application server. This is all working as expected. Problem is, when I send a message from my app server to the phone, my app never receives the message. After some investigation I found out
that the message reaches the phone, but the C2DM subsystem seems to be forwarding the message to the Google Talk app and not MY app.
Has anyone seen this behavior before? Can anyone give hints on what to look for to solve this? I was assuming that if the registration messages where forwarded to my app, then everything else should be as well.

Feb 9, 2010When someone on the verizon network sends me a text longer then 160char's, they recieve a message that looks like the following: MEssage delivered to 5555551234 as plain text destination does not support enhanced messaging.and I recieve a message saying:the preceding msg modified, media objects were removed.Why do they recieve this does is this phone seriously not able to recieve longer texts than 160 or does it not automatically split it up?? Nov 12, 2009I'm trying to figure out why my text message 'conversations' are merging so that they get lumped under one main 'person'?
I've only had the phone a couple days, so not a ton of messages yet. But a couple of times now, all messages have gotten 'lumped' together under one user, regardless of who they are received from or sent to.
The first time it happened, I cleared the entire thread. But now it's happening again. Even forwarding a message to someone else gets included in the same thread.
But it seems as if the messages are going to the right people, not sure. The problem is hitting 'reply'. Not sure who will get it.
Last night I downloaded the Handcent SMS client, and am using that now (disabled the notifications, etc., in the default SMS client). The HTC SMS widget seems to work OK with the Handcent client thankfully, but it is only showing the last 'conversation' of a long thread. So not sure if it's a default message app issue or not.

Mar 21, 2010I can not send pictures via text message with the stock message app, Handcent, or Chomp. I had been using Handcent for the past 2 1/2 months or so just fine, it would send pics. Then all of a sudden about a week ago it just stopped. It just kept showing the turning green circle over and over until the sending failed. I updated it, I uninstalled it, I reinstalled it. I tried Chomp. I tried the stock app. None of them will send a pic to another phone or to an email. I can send pics to facebook with the facebook app. The stock email app will send an email with a pic attached however.

Jan 18, 2010Anyways, on every other phone I've ever had, text messaging had a regular group of folders such as Inbox, Sent, Deleted, Outbox, etc. I do not see this on my Eris. I can see the new ones of course but not sure where my sent items are (if anywhere?) and where my deleted items go (permanently deleted?). I've had a couple of texts deleted that I needed later on but couldn't find so it's irritating enough to start searching for answers!

I have a song set for it and it plays all the way through until I get to the message and I'd like to be able to silence it.
