Mar 29, 2010If I charge my phone with the power off when I turn it back on it automatically reboots. Then I have to re sync and re-install all apps.

Sep 11, 2010hey guys, i need some help. got this eris on ebay description said it restarts and cant get to the main screen. anyways, the phone powers on and just keeps rebooting. I dont know what to do, i went into the boot screen and this is what is says

Jan 12, 2010I've noticed when I plug in my headset it stays on with a slight hiss. I can just see the battery draining as long as my headset is plugged in.

HTC Droid Eris :: Latest Update - Improvement After Reset To Factory Defaults
Jul 24, 2010I received the latest update a couple of days ago. I am like many on the forum that was having issues and growing very tired of this phone.
Issues I was having:
1- Blank display during a call. I have been having the issue of the phone display going blank during a call. The way it's designed to work is that when you place the phone next to your ear the display turns off to 1- save battery and 2- reduce heat. Mine was staying off which made it impossible to traverse a voice response system.
2- Lag during dialing.
3- Time without a signal. ** Retracted - This issue still exists. After rebooting multiple times the issue is back.
Fix - Reset to factory defaults. So far so good. Best the phone has been since updating from 1.5.

Apr 30, 2010I'm on Aloysius v6 and just flashed the 2.41.00.03.10-eris.zip radio update. Ever since then when I connect to my computer with the USB cord, it constantly reboots.

Jun 20, 2010I am running Aloysius v12. I have removed most of the rosie stuff. I am using JIT. Installed ADW but running Launcher Pro. My phone reboots itself about 4 times a day. It doesnt matter if it is charging, or if I am running an app of some kind, or on the phone. It will just reboot. First it started while running ADW and oc'd to 786. So, I switched to LP and slowed it down to 748. Still reboots.

Aug 9, 2010I have rooted my phone, tried to partition sd card although not to sure that it took since I could not get a reading on my computer, flashed xtra rom 3.0.3, was running Launcher pro and all was hunky dory although I could not get any find any of my apps. I ran a restore from My Back up and restored my apps which in turn also restored Launcher pro (again).I am now stuck in a force close loop of Launcher pro after rebooting. I have done a hot battery pull and still am stuck.

Mar 24, 2010After following the guide to a T that GrdLck posted, I cannot get to the adb. When I try to add the drivers, I get an error saying not found. I have tried on 2 diff machines. Win 7 32bit and 64bit. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Am I missing something?

Jun 25, 2010Trying to root my moto droid, following all instructions in the "The All-new Guide to All Things Root-related" thread. However it seems I've found myself a problem that isn't described anywhere i can find. Upon opening RSD and rebooting into the bootloader my computer (Windows XP pro 32 bit) says that its found new hardware: "SE Flash OMAP3430 MI". I've already installed the provided 32 bit drivers for my droid, but it seems the bootloader itself requires its own set of drivers. Tried showing the found new hardware wizard where the droid drivers where located, would not accept them. Also tried the search the internet option, again no luck. Something's clearly amiss...

It even happens while i'm on a phone call

Feb 19, 2010My Milestone (as the droid is called here in Europe) has auto-rebooted twice in 4 days for no apparent reason. I'm taking into consideration returing it, since i've had it for 5 days or so. 2 reboots (for what I know of, at least, coz maybe it happened at night also i don't know) in 5 days in a new phone makes me think the problem can get worse over time.

May 6, 2010Please help if you can. I just flashed a new kernel for NexBeast. I had been running the 800Mhz one that Fabolous has posted on his thread and I decided to try a faster one to see how my phone responds. I'm copied the zip to my SD card and used ROM Manager to install it. I didn't wipe data/cache since I'm only installing a kernel. I also didn't do a backup because I just did one yesterday prior to loading a custom boot animation. ROM Manager did its thing and then the phone went to reboot, but I get stuck on the Motorola "M" and never get to the boot animation. The "M" will be on the screen for about 30 seconds and then will disappear for a moment only to return. I let it go for about 10 minutes hoping it was just stuck in a short loop, but it never stopped. I pulled the battery and tried again, but I'm still having the same problem. What can I do here? I'm new to rooting, so I'm stuck. I'm not too familiar with ClockworkMod Recovery, so I'm lost. I know that when I was still using SPRecovery I was able to boot into recovery while holding "X" and then I could access my backups from there, but I tried that and I'm not seeing any of my backups I made using ROM manager.

Nov 10, 2009I've had the Moto Droid for three days now and it reboots itself or freezes frequently. It does this at least 10 times a day.
First thought: apps conflicting, right? But this was happening with no apps on it at all. It happens in the music player, home screen, and just about anywhere. There is no pattern to it.
My final assumption is that this is a problem with Android 2.0 and patches and updates will be coming to minimize these freeze ups and reboots, but wanted to pop in an ask the community if they've been seeing the same thing, or if they have any tips/tricks to stop these.
