Has anyone else been getting a lag on the screen when you receive a call? My phone starts ringing and freaking out until finally it answers the call... (I have been pressing the Green hard button bottom left) The regular answer and decline buttons dont come up until i'm already talking

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm planning to get a Bluetooth headset for use with my Eris. I don't really have any experience with a headset so I have a question about how it works:
I would like to leave the headset powered on and when I receive a call, either answer it from the headset or from the Eris depending on where I am/what I'm doing etc. Is this possible? Or if the headset is on will I always have to answer the call from there? I believe that I've heard that this is the way headsets work but I was hoping that I might be able to choose my answer "mode".
I am having horrible signal problems. My old phone the ENV2 in the same exact seat I am in right now I had full signal strength. The Eris on the other hand, I have none, it flips from no bars to X all day long. I can not receive calls nor can I make a call. Has anyone had problems with theirs? Or what might I be able to do ?

1. My friend just got a Droid phone for Verizon and he has the PUZZLE lock screen All the time (not just when theres a missed Message or Call <mine only does that). Can this ben changed?
2. Is there an App for a Screen Tap turn on, I dont enjoy pressing the button on the side everytime?
3. Are there any other Screen lock Apps other than LockBot free?
Most people seem to want to be able to lock their screen while on a call (using bluetooth headsets mostly), and I'd prefer it didn't go to lock while on a call. I just find it annoying when I've been talking for a few seconds or minutes, then take the phone away from my head, having to wake up the screen by swiping my thumb across the light sensor, set the unlock pattern, hit the home button to leave the dialer app, find the app I need to look something up in while talking, etc. And sometimes it doesn't go to lock at all! Does anyone know why/when the screen goes to lock during a call only? The rest of the time, it takes the full 10 minutes I have it set for before dimming out and shutting down. But usually, during a call, it seems like only a few seconds.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i rooted with Droid Does rom, because i heard its nice and fast and what not. So basically the only problem i have with it is this.
When on a call, the proximity sensor doesnt work, so the screen goes black. And when i press the end call button to turn the screen back on it just ends the call. Is this normal? Or a known issue?
The Eris has been a good phone for me except the mentioned issues. The fix the worked for me was to remove the appollo software task manager. It kept closing something I xouldnt see and caused me issue. I went from 5 resets a day to 5 days and no reset. I now use task manager 1.11.9 with 0 issues.

But when I pushed the message icon the end call screen kept coming up and when I went on the internet and went back to home screen later on today it brought up google home page over and over instead of the message app. I am using the one that came with the phone. Basically, the story goes as follows...normally when I receive a call I have to do that swipe thing to accept the call, however, at very random times instead of the swipe I get the option of pressing 'Accept Call' or 'Decline Call' which are displayed on the lower part of the screen side-by-side. Now, to be perfectly honest I actually prefer the latter option but do not know why it is so random. To be clear, I have never updated my phone since I got it and I have searched the settings but not been able to locate anything which would explain this.

When you want to make a call - you press the phone button and the phone dial buttons pop up and on the top some names from the contact list. You can roll down to get the full list of contact names to select from...
My problem is that this dial list is too sesnsetive : it is enough to touch a name and puff it starts dialing right away. This way I started call by accident people that I did not really want to call. Can this smart dial be made less touch sensetive. Or better: an option when the phone will respond "do you want to call this person?" or something
Oftentimes when I attempt to end a phone call the screen goes dark and I am not able to end a call. I have read other websites in which users have had similar issues. Will this issue be addressed and fixed soon in a firmware update?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Eris and my recent call log on my phone displays my outgoing calls as Unknown even if they are saved in my Google contacts. I have the outgoing calls set to go through GV option selected on the phone and I'm not sure what's going on. The contact is displayed for a second and then reverts to Unknown. When I add the unknown number to my existing contacts it works and displays properly, but when I call the same number back from my contact list, it shows up as unknown. My incoming calls and missed calls all show up with the proper contact info, so it seems to just be a problem with my outgoing calls. Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to rooting and I am using Nonsensikal 5.4 and when I am on a call using my bluetooth or a wired headset, I can't get the screen to turn back on during the call. The only one that turns it on is the end button and that hangs up the call. Sometimes I need to get a number or some other info off the phone. So I have to hang up get the info and call the person back. Is there a setting I can change to fix this. I already tried trackball wake in the cyanogenMod settings.

Everytime i receive one it will say in the notification bar "message not downloaded, retransmission scheduled for xx:xx" and in the actual message there is an option to download but when that is selected it just reverts back to the message in the notification bar.

View 23 Replies View RelatedWould ANYONE have the slightest idea why I would not be able to receive MMS from former Alltel users still using Alltel phones? I get them from my friends on Verizon, T-Mobile, whatever.. My mom, my brother, and my other friend all use phones that have Alltel branding...I've tried multiple times to send MMS to my phone from theirs, to no avail. They receive my MMS, but I don't receive theirs... I remember being able to back when I first got my new phone line on Verizon. I used to have an old Alltel number, and a Samsung Delve and I received MMS just fine. When I got my Storm I received MMS from everyone, for about 2 weeks, and then it just stopped. SO to reiterate, I don't get MMS messages from Alltel phone users, but from everyone else.

I was playing with the lock screen and had accidentally set up a random lock code which I was unable to remember.Ever since then, I've not been able to send or receive text messages. I can make calls, go on the web and and even update my Facebook status from my Contact Card. Any suggestions? I've soft reset the phone, hard reset it once more, taken out the battery, all that good stuff.When I try to send a message, I get this Error code coming up a moment later.

It comes up as Network not responding or some kind of Radio Interface Source error...also when I make phone calls it always comes up restricted. I've contacted Verizon support and they have not resolved the issue...has anyone else had this problem?
