HTC Droid Eris :: Canl't Send / Receive MMS Over Wifi?
Jan 10, 2010is it normal to not be able to send or receive MMS in WiFi only mode? Soon as I throw on 3G all works, but turn it off and just run WiFi and nothing happens.

Jan 14, 2010I had hard reset my phone earlier on because I'd accidentally locked myself out of it, stupid as it sounds. I was playing with the lock screen and had accidentally set up a random lock code which I was unable to remember.Ever since then, I've not been able to send or receive text messages. I can make calls, go on the web and and even update my Facebook status from my Contact Card. Any suggestions? I've soft reset the phone, hard reset it once more, taken out the battery, all that good stuff.When I try to send a message, I get this Error code coming up a moment later.

Dec 23, 2009I've recently been having issues with my Eris because it won't send or receive text messages. It comes up as Network not responding or some kind of Radio Interface Source error...also when I make phone calls it always comes up restricted. I've contacted Verizon support and they have not resolved the issue...has anyone else had this problem?

Aug 15, 2010Even after numerous factory resets, through both the Volume Down+Send+End and Settings>Privacy>Factory Reset methods, my Eris has been unable to send or receive texts, and will not allow me to send or receive calls. When I try to text, I get an SMS error with Cause Code: 34 and Error Class: 3. When I try to call, I get an automated error saying that my phone can't be authenticated at this time, and am advised to call #8899. Even after doing so, I get the same authentication error. Wi-Fi seems to work correctly, and my Google and Facebook accounts all sync pretty much perfectly. Is anyone else having any kind of problem like this? And, either way, does anyone know of any possible alternatives that may fix the problem besides a total replacement of the phone?

Dec 14, 2009Anyone else having issues with Google Talk on the Droid Eris? I can open the application, however my friends list is gone and I can't receive or send any messages. I went into the application manager and cleared the app data, and also power cycled the phone. Any other suggestions? I doesn't appear i can delete and re-download.

When i try to send/ download MMS, it just hangs (little icon keeps going in circles like it's working but never finishes, nor are the messages sent). It's not reception. Feb 1, 2010If I want to send a contact in my contact list I can via "share" in the contacts menu. It then attaches a .VCF attachment to my email. I can then send it to anyone via e-mail. I tried this with and iphone buddy and he was able to see and save the file as a contact perfectly. He then tried to send me one, but Gmail says that .VCF files are unsuported. How is it that they designed the phone to send them but not receive them. What am I missing here.

May 5, 2010I'm having issues with sending text messages to a few people and they aren't even all on the same carrier.I have been using CM 5.0.6.1 and really haven't had any problem until today.I switched to the stock 2.1 with root because i thought that maybe it was the rom and still these people can't receive my text messages they can send me messages and I receive them but I cannot send them out.I have reactivated my phone twice now and nothing has worked.Any help would be much appreciated.I know I said in the title i can't receive them but I can sorry i'm kind of tired at the moment.

Apr 30, 2013My GF's daugther just got an 7" OMY Q88 tablet with 8Gb flash, 512Mb Ram, 1GHz A13 Cpu, running (Android version 4.0.4 - Baseband 1.5 - kernel 3.0.8+ yishion@yishion #95 - build number nuclear_evb-eng_AL_4.0.4), from her mother and I'm trying to see if I can get it to work with SMS and phone calls.
So I'm using Globe tattoo usb stick E1552 & E153(rebranded Huawei) attached by USB dongle. Both work fine for internet using PPPwidget and sending SMS through GO SMS Pro, but is unable to receive SMS or make phone calls(I tried most dialers from Play store).
*-Thoose things work perfect on a pc, so what is Android missing? She needs this tablet when starting in college this comming june, and there is no public Wi-Fi on campus.Here in the Philippines, things we take for granted in other countries, are scares to be found.
There are plenty of apps for windows and pc but eventhough I have used 5 days and looked though hundreds of google pages using different search criterias, I have not been able to find a solution for Android.I would not be able to send SMS. URLs.....The last one is alien language to me as I'm not an programmer.
I even installed the JB Messaging app from XDA - but sadly it had no effect.What I need is offline SMS, there are plenty of apps for online SMS but her money is not enough for constant internet.

May 7, 2010A friend tried to send me a message with a voice attached the other day. I did not receive it. I contacted Optus in Australia and they went through my MMS settings with me. The strange thing was I could send an MMS, but not receive them. After much fiddling around I found that a title had to be put into the message or a message typed. I then received the MMS and was able to download the attached file. Has anyone else had this problem with the Galaxy or do you think it may be an Optus problem?
