Android :: Launcher Pro 7.9 / Apps Organizer / Folder Organizer Incompatible?
Sep 21, 2010Looks like LP 7.9 breaks both these apps on my system. When I load, my shortcuts still work, but as soon as I go into Apps Organizer, it crashes and gives me the bug screen. Folder Organizer let me get into the setup once, then it crashed as well.

Nov 20, 2010While trying to do a massive clear out to regain space, I see that my Folder Organizer Lite is massive and keeps being updated and getting bigger. I only use it to change icons and have only created two folders. Is Apps Organizer better for such limited use? It appears a lot smaller too. Is it really smaller? Before I delete stuff I want to keep just so I can download App Organizer to try it out, will this app do what I want and be a smaller app? What are the main advantages to keep Folder Organizer?

Sep 29, 2010I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me with 3 unfortunate issues I've been noticing since I rooted last night. I rooted 2.2 on my Droid X and backed up everything with Titanium backup. I removed a bunch of bloatware but I made sure that everything I renamed from .apk to .bak was "safe to remove" based on messages I read on multiple forums. I am also running Launcher Pro Plus. Here are the issues I'm seeing. Every time I power down the phone and then turn it back on, I'm seeing the following issues:
1) WidgetLocker - the Alarm Clock v2 tiny clock icon that I have on my lock screen disappears. Also, the Switch Pro Widget (Size 4) that I have on my lock screen also disappears. I can put them back no problem but as soon as I power down and turn the phone back on, they're gone again.
2) Folder Organizer - I have several shortcuts on my home screen with custom icons. For example, I have a shortcut with an icon that looks like a pair of headphones. Tapping on this icon opens the Folder Organizer shortcut to reveal my music player, Pandora, FM Radio, etc. Every time I power down the phone and then turn it back on, all of the icons revert back to the default Folder Organizer icon.
3) Anytime I plug in my phone via USB to my computer, Folder Organizer and Widget Locker fail with a force close. This happens regardless of whether or not I have USB debugging checked or what mode it's on (PC Mode, USB, etc). I tried reverting a few items from .bak back to .apk but it didn't fix either of these issues. Anyone have any ideas? I would GREATLY appreciate it, thanks so much!

Sep 20, 2010What I'm thinking is I would like to have all of my net radio widgets (last.fm, slacker, Pandora) all on my lock screen, but I don't want to use my whole screen on widgets not in use. It might be cool if there was an app that looked like a 1x1 icon on the screen but then expanded to give you what is essentially a home screen. Sort of like how folder organizer lets you house multiple icons under that space of just one on the home screen. Does something like this exist?

Jun 30, 2010I just installed Folder Organizer Lite on my Desire in order to be able to change the icons on my home screen. It worked like a charm, but now I have a question. I am able to edit the name of the icons, for example I have changed Advanced Task Killer to ATK, but I would like to have the option to not have any text at all. When I go to alter the text as usual and just delete the text, nothing changes. So does anyone out there know how to completely remove text from underneath icons?

Dec 1, 2010I used Apps Organizer to create folders of related apps (like Games, Japanese, etc) to go on to my home screen. I rather like it. Just one irritation, to which I wonder if anyone has a solution. If I switch the phone off for any reason, when I switch it back on, the folders are all still on the home screen, with the icon I have attributed to the folder, but the names all change to 'Apps label'. I can't find any obvious solution, other than to delete the shortcuts and reintroduce them, but would be grateful for anyone's thoughts. If there is another similar application I could use in its place, that would be fine - I'm not especially attached to Apps Organizer, though I do like it other than the name thing.

Mar 18, 2010After having some development skills in Java, I thought I'd try to make my own apps for the Android Platform. But I haven't even installed the whole SDK yet and I've got already my first Problems. I downloaded the SDK r05 Starterpack and tried to install it, no Problems with the eclipse-Activation. But when I tried to download the platforms with the Android SDK and AVD Manager, I just failed.
After replacing the https:// with an http://(cause the safe way didn't work) I saw 6 things at the "Avilable Packages" Screen, but I only could install 2 of them. The Android SDK Tool r5 and the USB Driver Package r3. I saw the APIs too, but I wasn't able to install one of them, my problem is that it shows me; "This Package depends on 'missing SDK Plattform Android API X". X = The Number of the API(3;4;6;7). So, here's the big question, what did I do wrong? Or where can I download the Platforms?
HTC EVO 4G : Downloading MMS Failed / Old Text Messages Reappearing?
Nov 9, 2010Asking a question for my father in law who is having problems with his EVO (I have an EVO but can't replicate this problem to help).
During the past week, the EVO with the problem was not downloading MMS messages onto the phone. The download process would start but would result in an error that said something like "generic network failure." We thought it was a temporary network connection issue. This started with the stock "Messaging" app installed on the EVO.
What then happened is VERY ODD. All of a sudden literally HUNDREDS of old previously deleted messages dating back to June of this year (yes, it is now NOVEMBER) were being downloaded and loaded into the messaging app. This happened not only with the thread that could not receive the recent MMS message but essentially ALL THREADS from whomever might have contacted my father in law since June! This happened once, we totally cleared out the messaging app threads and even deleted the cache information and data through the Manage Applications options on the phone and, once again, receipt of a few current messages would again trigger this FLOOD of text message data from MONTHS ago!!
Has anyone heard of this problem? It seems to me to be related to the Sprint Network because there should be no remnants of any of the old text messages once deleted from the phone itself. We went to a local Sprint store this morning and even did a hard reset BUT upon testing the text apps again, the problem recurred!
This problem occurred first with the stock Messaging app and, thinking that the Messaging app was the problem, we installed ChompSMS with the hope of fixing the issue but the problem occurred with Chomp as well.
Again, I am posting this for my father in law's EVO...I have an EVO too, running ChompSMS with NO PROBLEMS...matter of fact I have NEVER heard of or seen this issue with many-month-old text REAPPEARING on the phone. Any suggestions or thoughts?

Apr 19, 2012I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with ICS 4.0.4, and my computer is an Apple MacBook with Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I was about to go to bed, and wanted to transfer some new wallpapers to my phone via the USB cable. I got error messages when I tried to transfer the files, and noticed that an unrecognized corrupt file appeared when I replugged my phone (several times). After a few retries I decided to restart my Nexus and try again. However, after I had restarted, I observed that my Wallpaper folder (with all my wallpapers) was gone.
It's not a big issue, as they're only wallpapers. However, it might happen again with something more critical, and I'd like to figure this out. I'm an avid Linux user for years, using Gentoo Linux as my main operating system. So I don't mind getting down and dirty, if that's necessary.
My first thought is that it still might be on the partition / SD card / whatever the Nexus has, and I might retrieve it by going down on the file system via adb and fs-tools; if that's even possible.

HTC Droid Eris :: App Download Failed
Jan 30, 2010This problem first started after installing Lock bot, ATK and Alevel. Rebooted my phone and was greeted with an X in my signal bar and all home apps and google/android apps FC. I tried to reboot and pull battery even though the battery pull from my understanding has no effect. I've seen other threads say to do a hard reset but I didn't have a back up of my phone. I uninstall the 3 apps listed and the phone booted up fine.The next day I downloaded lock bot and level whith a reboot after each and no problems. I went back to tk because i like the 1x4 task bar it has and all was well.(No i'm not blaming ATK because too many people use it successfully) Yesterday I downloaded Safe neighborhood(My creepy neighbor looks out his window and watches the kids way too much), OS Monitor after uninstalling TK, and the Swype app I found on a thread here. As soon as I rebooted I received that X again. Uninstalled the last three apps and O.K.. I have re-installed OS Monitor and swype and phone reboots fine. I didn't download safe neighborhood again because my neighbor may be a perv but now I know he's not a convicted perv. The thing I'm noticing now is that when trying to use the market the downloads take several minutes to load or don't load at all.

May 19, 2010Since I "accepted" the upgrade last sunday (the 16th), I've noticed whenever I send a text I get a quick vibration and a notice in the status bar that the message was sent successfully. Used to be I only got a notice if the message failed (like when I had a poor signal) and then I could re-send when my signal improved... I, personally, find this "message sent successfully" a bit annoying. I looked and looked in the settings, but can't seem to locate where to change this. Can someone help, or am I stuck with this? And, please, if you prefer this new way, let's just agree to disagree right off the bat. You may like it, but I just prefer the "old" way.
