HTC Droid Eris :: Camera And 2.1 - Can't Zoom With Trackball
Jun 15, 2010Since the 2.1, you can't zoom with the trackball - miss that and it also doesn't seem to zoom as well. My husband hasn't changed to the 2.1 and we can take the same picture but he gets closer with his zoom. Is there any setting that would improve this on the camera with 2.1?

Iwant to activate the phone, but am having a couple issues i would like to resolve before doing so. When i try to use the camera, the phone powers itself off and then back on. And when i dial the *228 to activate it I have no dial pad to select the option to program the phone.

Just noticed that android slide has released a version of their Camera ZOOM FX application which has 40 photo FX, geotagging and obviously zoom which I can't do at the moment in FXCamera. Camera ZOOM FX. Just wondering if anyone had a chance to look at either of these apps and which they think is best, because I've been hoping for some new effects for a while and the android slide app sounds worth a look.

Jan 14, 2010Recently got a Hero and loving it so far. The 'Tips, Tricks and Useful Apps' thread on here was especially helpful in setting the phone up. However the Camera Zoom FX barcode was not recognized? I've also tried to manually search for this in the Android Market and although there are lots of add ons to the app in there I cant find the original app where you have to pay $1.29 or something. I would really like to get this app as the only slightly disappointing thing for me on this phone is the camera and any way of me improving it would be great.

Dec 17, 2009Just installed Camera Zoom FX, took a couple of pics. They immediately appear in a little square at the top left of my screen while still in camera mode after I click "save". However, no matter if I click on that little icon of the pic I took, or go to the Gallery on my Droid, either way it just comes up with the screen saying "No Media Found" help! With the stock camera when you touch the screen it focuses on that spot, with FX I can't figure it out. Also with FX when I touch the screen it takes a photo even when that option is turned off?
