Just installed Camera Zoom FX, took a couple of pics. They immediately appear in a little square at the top left of my screen while still in camera mode after I click "save". However, no matter if I click on that little icon of the pic I took, or go to the Gallery on my Droid, either way it just comes up with the screen saying "No Media Found" help! Where are the pictures I am taking going?

I have an image displayed in a view. I want to make some translucent control over that image, just like the zoom control on the built-in 'Pictures' application, or the 'Play' button on any youtube video.
What is the general practice to achieve this kind of effect?
So I accidentally deleted my DCIM folder on my phone through Android File Transfer and it deleted all my photos. I understand that I probably can't get them back, but the thing is, now if I take a picture, I can't see it! When I go in photos it just says "Media not found. (Google Nexus 5)

Just noticed that android slide has released a version of their Camera ZOOM FX application which has 40 photo FX, geotagging and obviously zoom which I can't do at the moment in FXCamera. Camera ZOOM FX. Just wondering if anyone had a chance to look at either of these apps and which they think is best, because I've been hoping for some new effects for a while and the android slide app sounds worth a look.

Firstly, does anyone know if there's any was of getting it to always show pictures for a given sender (like the web app)? I seem to have a decent connection most places, and get fed up of constantly having the press the button, especially as most of the emails I get are HTML type newsletters. And related to the type of emails, why doesn't the GMail app also have pinch to zoom when viewing the messages? They always come up huge and I have to scroll around. Can you at least change the default zoom. Failing that is there a another free email app. that will do these things.

Zoom wheel is pretty cool too or you can use a slider if you prefer. Was playing around with some of the new skin packs - one of them is kind of scary!

With the stock camera when you touch the screen it focuses on that spot, with FX I can't figure it out. Also with FX when I touch the screen it takes a photo even when that option is turned off?

View 14 Replies View RelatedRecently got a Hero and loving it so far. The 'Tips, Tricks and Useful Apps' thread on here was especially helpful in setting the phone up. However the Camera Zoom FX barcode was not recognized? I've also tried to manually search for this in the Android Market and although there are lots of add ons to the app in there I cant find the original app where you have to pay $1.29 or something. I would really like to get this app as the only slightly disappointing thing for me on this phone is the camera and any way of me improving it would be great.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI've been stunned by how different Samsung's camera behaves compared to the other devices I've tested camera preview stuff with.
Mind you, this is in 2.1 so the SDK 8 Camera.getZoomRatios() and Camera.isZooomSupported() are not available.
Looking at the Camera.getParameters().flatten() result shows that the common "zoom-supported" that I see in HTC, N1, and Mototrolla devices is not there.
Instead there's something called "digi-zoom". I couldnt find any documentation or posts about its usage but a little experimenting revealed it takes numerals 1..10 as string and will zoom accordingly. I have no idea what the ratios would be.
Also, there's some madness with the flash mode on the Galaxy S Epic that I have tested with.
Calls to getSupportedFlashModes() return only auto,on,off. There is no torch supported.
However, if you do params.setFlashMode(Camera.Parameters.FLASH_MODE_TORCH) it will turn the LED on!
Sadly, subsequently setting it to FLASH_MODE_OFF or FLASH_MODE_AUTO does not turn the LED off! It's stuck on until Camera.release(), or maybe Camera.stopPreview(), I havent traced into it yet to see which actually turns it off.
I suppose that's why Samsung doesnt return torch in the supported list. I'd prefer not to have to stop and restart the preview to turn it off for this model.

My husband hasn't changed to the 2.1 and we can take the same picture but he gets closer with his zoom. Is there any setting that would improve this on the camera with 2.1?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have 2 Asus HD7 Memopad (ME173x) tablets running identical to each other, same settings, same software, etc. I have a powered hub in an OTG cable connected to one of my tablets. When I hookup my Canon point and shoot digital camera to the hub, one of the tablets sees it acknowledges it pops up a window saying what program should I use for this USB device either Asus Gallery or the Asus studio or the Google camera importer, and everything works fine.
I unplugged the OTG cable from that tablet and plug it into my other tablet and I get nothing what so ever, nothing pops up. but I know its not a problem with the USB port on that second tablet because when I plug in a flash drive into it and load up the OTG helper I can see the flash drive with no problem using ES file manager. I just can't seem to get the camera to read on that tablet.
so I plug the OTG cable back into the other tablet and boom it pops up the pop up again and it works. I compared settings on both tablets and they're all the same settings identical. I don't remember what I did if I did anything to the first tablet to make it work.I think I just plugged it in and it worked.
I was curious to download PRO Zoom camera 5x with my samsung moment but not work to click button for shot why I don't understand, you do experience or tell me how or this is not work to match with samsung moment? I like Pro Zoom camera 5x is very nice but won't click button nothing shot why?
