For some reason my Eris speaker sounds like it's blown out. You can still hear but there's like a vibration or ratling sound kind of like how a car speaker sounds if you crank it to bits. I was thinking this would either get fixed or replaced (don't care either way), but will verizon have a problem if I have 2.1 V2 on there? Void warranty or no?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIt seems lately when I have my eris in my upper coat pocket and it rings, it sounds like the speaker is blown. Real tint sounding but once I move it the sounds are better. Laying on my desk or in my hand it seems fine. Almost like the speaker doesn't like the upward vertical position or something.

On my second one the sound was much less apparent but it was still kind of there. Its been about a week now and I believe it is now just as bad as the first one I had. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to make sure I'm not crazy. I have been sitting here at work trying to find an alternative to the photo software that comes on the Eris. I have never been happy with the stock camera app and the pictures it takes. I downloaded an app called Camera 360 from the market. I've been taking several pictures and comparing them side by side. To me, Camera 360 looks like it takes much better pictures. I have emailed myself 3 or 4 pictures so I can compare them on the PC. The stock camera seems to be very blurry when blown up onto a computer monitor. The Camera 360 pictures seem to be clearer and sharper. Granted I'm sitting here at my desk taking pictures of the wall and my feet, so it's possible the Camera 360 software will stink outside.

And after 5-10 minutes, the screen goes to black.Sometimes, I want to turn off speaker phone or use phone to look up some numbers.However, pressing call button or track ball won't wake up the screen. If I press end call button, it just hung up.It seems that there is no way to wake up the screen except hanging up and call again.Anyone has same problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been running the v3 leak and after the last update, the home button (after pressing it) will return the screen back to the same screen I was just on. The speaker is on all the time, until I turn it off. The next time I use the phone, the speaker is back on. Any suggestions? I have done several hard resets with no luck. The problem started right after the update, then went away after a couple of days and now is back.

View 7 Replies View RelatedLast night i noticed a thin crack on my screen about an inch long. You cant feel the scratch on the outside. This morning the screen had gone really dull an cloudy and is basically fudged, you can hardly make anything out. I hav'nt dropped it so can only think there must have been some sort of pressure on it.
My question is what are my options?
I am about 5 months into my contract with vodafone and dont have insurance with them.
Would this be covered by the warranty?
My other option is obviously to pay for a repair if thats possible?
Or maybe claim it on my house insurance.
I have a TableLayout with 3 TableRows, each TableRow has 3 ImageViews. Each ImageView has fitCenter for Scale type, and a weight and width per this stackoverflow answer. Now all the images scale to fit into the row, but each row is way taller then it needs to be. Here's an excerpt of the xml:

My fiance has already gone through 2 Droid eris well he is on his second one. He had to bring the first one back due to his external speaker sounded blown, and now the replacement one he got is doing the same thing. We were wondering if this is a popular problem and if the next replacement he gets Saturday is going to do the same thing all over again. He never uses the external speaker only for the message alerts. We are both stumped onto why the same thing would happen to both phones. I have the same phone and mine hasnt done it I do have mine on vibrate a lot more then his.

I never noticed it before today, but my Eris is definitely not disabling music playback through the eternal speaker when I plug headphones (or an adapter, or anything) into the headphone jack. Sound still comes through the earbuds or headphones nice and crisp, just the speaker is ALSO playing the same sound, at the same volume.
This sort of defeats the purpose of one of the main reasons I use headphones- to mute sound for everyone but me. I tried different music players, different headphones, made sure the phone knew they were non-mic headphones, everything. I can't find a setting to tell the speaker to disable when headphones are in- isn't it supposed to be automatic?

View 22 Replies View RelatedMy headset speaker (non-speaker phone) has a buzz to it when the in-call volume is all the way up, or one notch away from full. If I call voice mail, any automated line, or anybody speaks loudly the words are distorted by the speaker buzz. I'm not sure how else to describe it other than distortion/speaker issue. Does anybody else have their in-call volume all the way up that could confirm whether this is happening on theirs? My wife has the incredible and when I compare on her voicemail full in-call volume, it is perfect. I'm thinking about exchanging at Best Buy, but wan't to make sure its not common before I do. Would hate to go through the trouble if they all make this buzz/distortion.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe speaker on the back has a support beneath it (where the speaker(s) would be), except in one area. Off center to the right there is a hollow area where it can be dented, which I found out the hard way. I just happened to look at it and notice this defect. Having never dropped mine, I have no idea what could have caused this other than something pressing on it in my pocket. Upon further inspection I found out that this area is in fact pliable, due to the lack of support behind it.Will be dropping by VZW on monday. Since I'm within my 30 days until jan. 3rd, I hope they replace it for me. It would really suck to have to pay my $89 deductible (or whatever it is) just for this, but I can't be showing off my Droid with a dented speaker

But when I cup the back of the phone with my right hand, the volume is increased, possibly because the sound bounces off my hand.
