My htc weather aplication does not refresh itself every hour like i tell it to! i have set it so it refreshes every hourut when i check it again the automatic update is not selected

Just curious if this has been discussed or suggested to the developers? What I mean is, when I tap the weather icon to open up the forecast, it would be nice if that triggered a refresh of the weather data, regardless of what my refresh intervals are. I know that I can go to menu and click refresh, but it seems like this would be a nice toggle option. I went to the BW website but didn't see an email option or some way to suggest this. Anyone know how to contact them? Twitter?

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
How I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter implementing some Android Apps, including several Map activities, I try to refresh the activity when the GPS listener's onLocationChanged() mehtod is called. I have no idea how to tell the map activity to refresh on its own and display the new coords. the coords to store will have to be in global values, so that the location listener will have access to it. In my sample GPS-class (see code below) I just changed the text of a text view....but how to do that in map view?

The widget will never refresh, and whenever I try and go into it an error: "The application Friend Stream (process com.htc.friendstream) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" just keeps popping up, and I have no choice but to force close. I've been hearing rumours it could be another app I've installed that's causing it.

View 6 Replies View Related1- I am an iphone application developer, all iphones have very similar Operating systems, and the size and everything is the same, so I don't need to create applications specific for each iphone.
But with android there are different phones, different sizes, So How can i possibly know that my app works, and looks fine on all these devices
2- I don't already own an android but i completed my first application using the simulator. Which android phone do u suggest for testing? I am an AT&T user and i use an iphone. Can i simply insert my sim-card in the new android to be able to test my app on the device?

Since previous releases of android SDK (I think since version 0.9), I have a warning when I run a aplication from Eclipse.
"Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz."
How I can solve this? I am running Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede) in Mac OS X 10.5.6.
I developed an android maps application on Google API 2.1 update-1 platform. And it is the simplest code to show a map on the screen, there is no other things.
However, map doesn't shown on phone. The problem is, the same program runs on my android emulator right but it is not working on my android phone properly, I mean program starts on phone but I see only greeds instead of map. phone android version is th same, 2.1 update-1.

Am developing one apps using sqlite.I created database in main Activity ,I created that database in the "MODE_WORLD_WRITEABLE" mode.I can only access this database within alone that activity only,but i need to use same database for all activity.What can i do for single database for all the activity accessible within that application.I don't know how to proceed that . this is my first apps using sqlite.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using myPlayer to download videos to watch during my commute. Even though the myPlayer app recommends arcMedia to play the downloaded videos, I've found that the default Videos app works just fine, and is a bit better thanks to the Dolby Mobile sound.
However... after downloading the video to the phone, the video takes an age to show up in the Videos app's list. I can usually prod the app into re-scanning the SD card for videos my unmounting and remounting the card, but that's a bit of a pain. Does anyone know of a way of just getting the Videos app to have another look for new files?
(I know, it's not a major hassle to remount the SD card, but I'm an ex-iPhone guy and used to the 'it just works' way of doing things...

Are there any other 3rd party weather widgets that have the animations, or similar?

I've done a search through the threads to see if I can find the same issue, so please forgive me if I'm duplicating anything here. I have an HTC Desire on Orange. Until earlier today, my weather widget was working fine, it knew where I was and it updated the weather accurately. This afternoon it recognizes my location correctly but now says 'no weather data available'. It still shows weather for the other locations - London, Paris, etc, but not for where I am now. The only thing I can think of that has changed is that I just installed an update on an app I have (White Noise Lite from TMSOFT). Might uninstalling this app help? I tried to manually add in my location, wondering if this would work, but it is not available on the list of locations. I've tried removing and then re-adding the weather widget to my home screens. I've tried turning my phone off and on again, in the spirit of all IT helpdesk encounters I've ever had.

Then after a week it shows the moon from about 7pm when it quite clearly the sun is out. I am in the nw of england and yet when i switch it to london at the same time it shows the sun? but for my area it shows the moon? Any body else have a similar problem?
