View 3 RepliesI love the little animations for weather, such as the windscreen wipers, but I'm not that keen on the combined clock and weather widget that seems to be the only thing that powers them.
Are there any other 3rd party weather widgets that have the animations, or similar?
I saw one mentioned somewhere a couple of days ago but I'm damned if I can find it!
I have clock/weather widget on my main screen but although I have auto sync enabled in settings it never updates and i have for instance the moon in the middle of the day unless I change it manually. I changet the sttings to update hourly but no luck.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMine has been working fine until just now. For some reason it has stopped displaying the date, weather etc for my location I've tried re-syncing it, but it says "no weather data" available. Is this a bug? Will it return on its own?
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica to a DHD and really happy with the move. Its a beast of a phone!
One question though, the "standard" HTC clock widget, that includes the weather on it won't auto update. If I click it, then menu, then settings the only selectable options are "Update when opened" and "Temperature scale".
The options for "Update automatically" and "Update schedule" are greyed out. I've tried adjusting the sync settings in the main settings section but nothing makes a difference.
How can I get this to work? Frequently I will look at my phone and it will tell me my location but not the weather. And whilst it isn't vital, I jkust think the screen looks nicer with a sun or cloud or moon or whatever on it.
I've removed the standard weather/clock widget from my home screen but want to get it back. How do I do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI like the weather/clock app that comes with the HTC Desire with the animation, is there any other clocks or weather apps that have the animation, as I could like the clock to be smaller.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently, the weather part of the clock widget has not been displaying the right city. the city is very close to where i live though. it is currently showing "east san gabriel valley" but i actually live in "diamond bar". these are both little cities (very close to each ohter) in southern california. is this caused by the cell tower that the phone is connected to? if i enable wifi, the city does show diamond bar.
View 3 Replies View Relatedjust got my desire did a silly thing draged the big clock and weather thing off my home page and lost them how do I get them back.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know whether or not the moon on the default HTC clock/weather widget shows the current moon phase or not? It seems to match up just now but that might just be coincidence. Would be a really cool extra if it didn't already.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??
View 1 Replies View Relatedi read that quite a few people were having trouble with the preloaded clock and weather app.. on my htc wildfire it worked ok for the first couple of days then all ofa sudden it wouldnt show my localitys weather and all i get is some place called Bradston or something like that in america? only thing is im in australia anyone know whats going on?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am curious if anybody else has a problem with the weather app that is default when you use android. I have the HTC Hero. I really like the look of the big clock with the weather. But the weather on mine is WAY OFF and it drives me crazy. The cweather is always 8-14 degrees off from what the real temp is and the weather icon is also off most of the time. It may be cloudy and it will show rain. or it may be sunny and it will show partly cloudy. Now I know that they must use a tower that is not close to my house. But I live in a small town and there is no way that the temp is 14 degrees hotter 3 miles away at the same elevation. this is frustrating because I really like the look of the clock/weather widget. I just use the weather channels widget and it is close to spot on. But it does not have the same look as HTCs. I also used weather bug and it was off too. Not as bad as HTCs but still off.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to remove the weather icon from underneath the clock? I have turned off all GPS and auto update settings to conserve battery life so the icon under the clock is always wrong so it seems pointless that I even have it there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the stock clock and weather widget. I removed it from my screen, and when I put it back, i chose current location and when i see it it only says my location with no weather data and when i tap on it it opens the clock app and I can't get it to open the weather app like it used to.
