As per the title of this thread, I've noticed that sometimes my desire sends text messages more than once, even though it only shows one in my message conversation list thing. Seems to happen whenever there's not been any reception, and when trying again might be sending it more than once?

If I send a text message to multiple recipients it sends as an MMS. I understand that this happens by design on some networks if you're sending a text to more than 10 people at once, but I was only sending the same text to 2 people. I'm with T-Mobile and I have unlimited texts as part of my contract, but MMS messages cost 20p each, so obviously I don't want this to happen. Can this be changed so the messages send as regular texts?

Every time I turn my phone on it resends the last 4 text messages to everyone. Is there any where I can stop this besides deleting my text messages.

I have some contacts who use different mobiles depending on their location (French phone in France and UK phone for the UK). When I receive a message from such a contact, as far as I know, I only have the option to reply (by clicking on the text input box) to the number the message came from, even if the contact already has several numbers stored...Is there anyway round this apart from creating a new message separately?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI was surprised that I really couldn't find much on this, but I can't be the only one with the problem. My Droid Eris is sending blank text messages repeatedly. Is the phone faulty or is there some setting that I can change. I downloaded ChompSMS hoping that would fix it, but it doesn't appear to. When I open my text messaging program, many times it will send a blank text to the last person I texted. The other day, I turned the phone off and turned it back on and it sent a blank text at the exact time I turned it on.

View 7 Replies View RelatedAll of my SMS messages have disappeared, I have had my HTC Desire since the end of May and suddenly today all my SMS messages are gone without warning. I had auto backup to SD card enabled, but this option seems to have disappeared on 2.2, even if I could retrieve the old messages that were backed up to the SD card beforehand that would be great, there's nothing left! Delete old messages is turned off and I have tried turning the phone off and back on again but it hasn't helped.

I have the Android Facebook-Connect library running in my emulator and I'm able to set my status with the Facebook API I have setup. However, I don't know where to go from there? Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Am I better off using another library? I tried fbrocket with limited luck(I get a "server error 104 - Incorrect signature").
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have around 3000 messages from one person, currently they are all in one conversation, because of the number it takes a few moments to load the page. I know I can set the phone up to delete the old messages, but I don't really like deleting messages, or email, I just don't like doing it. I'm looking for an app (or if the existing message app has a solution) that will allow me to have a smaller conversation or a way to load just the last few messages unless I ask to see older messages similar the the iphone. Does anyone know if this kind of thing exists?

Sometimes when i try to send a txt message my phone forces a close and when it re-opens the txt messages, all my messages have been lost, very annoying it is. I have not been able to find posts about but I cant be the only one experiencing this. It's a bit hard to explain, but let me try. The problem is that sometimes when I recieve a message that is more than one message long it is messed up. After character 160 something is not right. The text is replaced by a part of a former message (not necesarily the last one). First time it occured I tried to factory reset and the problem disappeared, but problem with market made med factory reset recently. Now the problem is back and of course I could try to factory reset again and hope for the best, but its getting a bit tiresome.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis forum has saved me from going insane many times now.. but I have searched for an answer to this question but cannot find anything. I had the usual hastle of my facebook contacts getting in the way so I removed the facebook sync in account settings (it was a pain when trying to send a text message to multiple people) but for some reason I can still see my sim card contacts when sending a text message and I cannot find any options in settings to only view phone contacts. When I look at the contacts settings I only have phone contact selected. I dont really want to delete the contacts from the sim as there are some numbers that I want to keep on there incase I ever need them again, so if anyone knows another work around that would be great.
