Earlier today i forwarded a text to 3 people in my contacts list, but i was notified that it would be sent as an MMS. why and what i can do to prevent this happening again?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have found a problem and no solution on line ... so I wanted to run it past you all. I have SBS2003 R2 Premium. We have several smartphones ... android based with email through our Exchange 2003 server using activesync. THE PROBLEM: When users attempt to forward an email to another domain users mailbox ... the email is never received. It shows in the outbox in both the phone and Exchange outbox (sent items). If I forward the email from me to me, the email is successful. Also, if an email is sent directly to a domain user, the email is received (no forwarding) without any problem. All other aspects of activesync appear to work fine. Still have not found an Iphone to test against.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm sure i am missing the obvious but when i try and forward a msg it seems the only way i can send it on is to add the phone number manually even if that person is in my phone book. Surely there is a shortcut to my phone book?

The link above is an issue with the Legend, but im fairly sure its the same problem with the desire..Basically, I got a joke via text from a friend.. I wanted to send this to more friends, so i long-held the middle button on the message and pressed forward.. I added the names of who I wanted to send it to, and it sent. I then realized it had sent them as an MMS message! This will have cost me a fortune.I checked I had not gone over the 160 character limit as mentioned in that thread.Try it for yourselves, and see if you can work it out.

I have been reading all the posts concerning battery issues and have the same problems myself. I have tried numerous tips and tricks that i have read on this forum to hopefully increase my battery life. My post today is about how to forward a text message using the moment. I upgraded from an Samsung Instict and had no problem forwarding messages using the phone; however, I do not get the option to forward when i hit the menu key when looking at a text.

I have some contacts who use different mobiles depending on their location (French phone in France and UK phone for the UK). When I receive a message from such a contact, as far as I know, I only have the option to reply (by clicking on the text input box) to the number the message came from, even if the contact already has several numbers stored...Is there anyway round this apart from creating a new message separately?

Seems to happen whenever there's not been any reception, and when trying again might be sending it more than once?

View 7 Replies View RelatedAll of my SMS messages have disappeared, I have had my HTC Desire since the end of May and suddenly today all my SMS messages are gone without warning. I had auto backup to SD card enabled, but this option seems to have disappeared on 2.2, even if I could retrieve the old messages that were backed up to the SD card beforehand that would be great, there's nothing left! Delete old messages is turned off and I have tried turning the phone off and back on again but it hasn't helped.

I have around 3000 messages from one person, currently they are all in one conversation, because of the number it takes a few moments to load the page. I know I can set the phone up to delete the old messages, but I don't really like deleting messages, or email, I just don't like doing it. I'm looking for an app (or if the existing message app has a solution) that will allow me to have a smaller conversation or a way to load just the last few messages unless I ask to see older messages similar the the iphone. Does anyone know if this kind of thing exists?

Sometimes when i try to send a txt message my phone forces a close and when it re-opens the txt messages, all my messages have been lost, very annoying it is. View 2 Replies View RelatedI have encountered a problem with messages. I've seen it in both Android Version 2.1 and 2.2. I have not been able to find posts about but I cant be the only one experiencing this. It's a bit hard to explain, but let me try. The problem is that sometimes when I recieve a message that is more than one message long it is messed up. After character 160 something is not right. The text is replaced by a part of a former message (not necesarily the last one). First time it occured I tried to factory reset and the problem disappeared, but problem with market made med factory reset recently. Now the problem is back and of course I could try to factory reset again and hope for the best, but its getting a bit tiresome.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can receive picture messages but for some reason they just time out when sending them, I've attached a picture to a text and pressed send, but in Handcent the little timer just goes round and then about 20 minutes later it bleeps and tells me that it didn't go through.Is this a problem with Handcent/Desire or T-Mobile?

Anyone know how to solve this. I know if the contact has multiple numbers it shows but it's showing on contacts with only one number too.
View 3 Replies View Relatedfor the last 4 or 5 days frequently, when i'm composing a text the screen with flip back to the all messages page and completley lose the text i'm in the middle of. most frustrating and quite unpredictable. had the phone about 2 months, and its been fine up until now. have done the usual off/ on. cant think that i've changed any settings but i've had a few new apps from time to time.
