I have three email accounts set up on my phone, one gmail and two hotmail accounts. Today, for some reason, my phone shows one of the hotmail accounts with a new email that was actually received by the other hotmail account.I am unable to open this message and when I try to delete it, the email app force closes.

I have 5 email accounts coming to my phone. Sometimes, after receiving an email from one account I'll get a notification of new mail from that same account a few minutes later, but I won't actually have any new mail. It's getting kind of annoying. Is there any fix for that?

I'm using HTC Email on my EVO and my Trash folder is showing completely empty on the phone, no matter what download options I set (xx messages, xx days, ALL). I know the Trash folder is not truly empty because my regular PC mail program shows over 9000 messages.
- my email is setup as an IMAP account through 1and1.com
- the Trash folder is the only one that is not showing any emails when it should be
- I have checked to make sure there's not an alternate Trash Emails, Garbage, Recycle Bin, etc folder that is being used for deleted emails on my email account
- this same behavior is being exhibited when I setup my email account on an HTC Hero
Now i plug my phone into my laptop, and nothing shows up, it doesnt give me an option to use phone as a disk drive etc on the phone itself although the phone is charging, the phone also doesnt turn on in my computer not sure whats wrong?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just started using my new HTC Desire (Android 2.2) and am having a problem with my Google calendar not showing up.
If I go to Settings > Accounts & sync, my Gmail and contacts show up, but no calendar.
If I set a new calendar event in my google calendar on my PC, the phone gives me a reminder on the notification bar, but does not show up on the calendar.
I have tried removing and re-registering the google account on the phone, but the calendar will still not show. Any ideas?
I ve with my HTC Desire. Let me explain : When I go on PEOPLE I see my contacts there , if I click on them I cant see any phone number or mail nothing it just show me the contact name then under the name I see DETAILS then INFORMATION and down I can read ringtone and send to voicemail and then last Edit. Why is that? I dont think is normal and honestly makes me really depressed coz I cant call normally.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just applied the phantom skinz to my phone and stupidly I applied it to my phone and it was all good but left a smudge so while battery and phone on, I reapplied the screen protector without realizing the phone was still on... now it seems like there was too much water and the screen is distorted. Anyone know if I really messed up my phone or is it possible that its just water that needs to evaporate or do I need to go to radio shack and get a replace (if possible)?

Will the factory reset have unrooted my phone as cant work out how to install apps to my sd card, downloaded ES file explorer which does let me explore my phone but shows half directories as empty.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to change the email address the phone is set up to. But I have a niggling suspicion doing so requires a factory reset. First things first, please tell me if that's wrong and I'll be happy. If however I'm right, What's the best way to go about saving everything? If I download a backup program, will it store all my settings, apps etc or just data on the SD card? And will changing the email address bugger something up and stop me from restoring the backup? I wouldn't put it past google.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy LG G2 took the update yesterday and the change brought a backup of my sms and phone calls. The calls arent' the problem but the SMS are. I use Handcent as my default, but every SMS is showing in the (stock) email app which is only me work exchange accounts. How do I stop this, work doesn't need to see my texts.
I back up using SMS Backup+ to my gmail and have confirmed those settings.
Having some problems with a pop email account - have set up so that it will receive ok but when I try and send I get the message "non local ip cannot send from this phone.

I am using an activesync account with for my work email which syns calendar/contacts/email. For some reason every email address that i have ever sent an email to shows up as a contact.anyone else seen this or know how to resolve? all of my contacts are in there that i want but there are an additional 500+ "contacts" that are just email addresses that i have sent to through work.

I have an AOL account and cannot view any pics embedded within the email. I do not get a exclamation point where the pic should be, instead I just get a large empty space. Is this a problem with my settings? When I originally set up the account, it defaulted as IMAP... should it be POP3?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need help finding the right email app.The default one is horrible. The problem I am having is that it doesn't differentiate new emails from old. Every time I open the inbox in any of my email accounts, it always shows all emails as new. I don't know which one's I read or not. It's not bad if it takes me directly to the email, but when I have emails for multiple inboxes, I don't know which ones have the new email. I called tmobile tech support and was told that unless I delete the read emails from the server, the phone will keep reloading them as new. On my old phone, the messages I read where marked as read and stayed that way. When I got a new email, it was clear which one it was because it was highlighted.
Also, I've just switched to the g1 from a business phone, so I'm really new to this still. The couple things that I would like to figure out how to do is, first, I would like to know how I can search my contacts both by name or business. I've transfered the contact info from outlook to the g1 and so I have both name and business information. However, when I search using the keyboard, I can only search by name. If I put in the name of the company, it doesn't show up. Also, is it possible to have both shown. On my old phone when searched for either the person name or business name, the result showed both. For example, if I searched for lauren or Unico, it would show up as Lauren with Unico below it. Also, this way if I have more than one lauren, I can distinguish between them without having to click through each one.
Secondly, is it possible to set up "speed dial" function. Basically, if I pull up the dialer and press 2 for like 2 seconds it will. Third, I used to have my phone setup that I would have what ever my next appointment was, it would show on the home screen. Is that possible with this phone. Is it possible to allocate certain space on the home screen to preview upcoming appointments.
I recently completely deleted a g-mail account, but now I can't remove the account from the Gmail app on my phone. Anytime I click it it gives me an authentication error and asks me to sign into it, which I can't do of course, becauseit no longer exists. How do I remove that particular e-mail from the gmail application?

This seems to happen every time I delete mail when I go to hotmail on the web. For instance, I just deleted 1 email on the web then a few minutes later my phone is saying I have 7 unread messages from last week that I already read and kept on the phone.

When I click the Email icon and view both of these accounts, one account shows -1/1 messages and the other shows -1/25 messages. If I get on Yahoo and Gmail and check they show the correct amount. Yahoo has showed this for a few days, and Gmail just started today.Can anyone tell me what is wrong and why they show a negative amount of messages?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was able to successfully configure the stock email app on my android phone (Samsung Captivate). However when I went to "Email check frequency" in the settings to enable push, it did not allow me to do so. According to Android, there is an option in this setting called "Automatic (push)" other than polling options. In my case I just had polling options like "5 mts", "10 mts", "Never", and so on. But I don't have the "automatic push" option!
I checked in with my system admin. He said that they have enabled push from their end. In fact, we are on the corporate email of Google apps. So it is like a gmail except that it has my corporate email address. So this should have been a piece of cake, no?
I recently switched from a Treo to the Moment. Generally quite pleased, but the Moxier email client doesn't seem to be displaying html links at all.
Exchange mail on the Treo still shows links, so unlike some of the other posts, the problem is not with the corporate exchange server stripping out html.
Is there a setting in Moxier to enable links within email messages?
I am trying to set up my email account with Virgin Media on my Desire but I can`t get the settings right, it`s a pop account, I can receive mail but I can`t send it. I`m with Three mobile but my phones unlocked, When I connect via wifi to my home it sends ok, but this seems a bit pointless when I`m away from home.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an htc desire and when i go into people all my numbers etc are there HOWEVER for example if i go into maps and theres a button to view contacts it takes me onto a page which says search contacts and does nt matter what name of my contacts i put in it says NO MATCHES FOUND!!! Please can someone help as its driving me nuts and making me wonder whether I should have gotten a different phone ( I still have time to send it back)
