The only one I could find takes 6 seconds before it locks.
So I waste a bit of screen real estate on my Droid with a few photos of my family. I just like to have a photo on each page. I was wondering if anyone has run across a Photo Frame app that is clickable to a defined action like "Call Wife".
Anyone run across an app like that?
Seems like a pretty easy app to write, but I am having a hard time finding one...
I'm back to using LauncherPro, but again I have the problem where the stock widgets aren't compatible, ot HTC doesnt want you to use them with anything other than Sense.
I ADORE the stock full screen Photo Widget. Where the photos look like they're overlapping, and you can swipe through them to view the images.
Does anyone know if someone has recreated this style of Gallery Widget for none sense UI?
Where is the photo widget that lets you scroll through the pictures instantly in the widget?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a nice looking, functional SMS widget. I'm currently using the one from Beautiful Widgets, but as much as I like the other widgets in that package, I think the SMS one is painfully ugly and doesn't fit with anything else on my home screen. I know I could have Handcent do popup notifications, but I would prefer to have a widget like the one I currently use that sits on the home screen.
Something skinnable would be preferable, but if nothing like that exists, then perhaps a simple, minimalistic or universal design.
Anybody know of anything that I might like? I'm willing to pay for a good one, it doesn't have to be a freebie.
I have tried a lot of notes apps, but all of the widgets are just single icon space widgets. I would like a full screen widget for simple notes. Anyone know of a good one? This is not for taking notes at like school, but for quick reminders, etc.

Does anyone know how I can add a landscape image for as "Free" as possible... If not free, what would be the best market download?
Is there a way to define/customize a border around the currently selected Gallery item? I know, i can create a Drawable and draw four lines into that but there must be a simpler way.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created an application that show around 250 images in ImageView. Images are loaded one after another, 15-30 images per second. Basically the whole thing gives an illusion of a rotating 3D object, at least it should.
The problem is next, app hangs when loading certain images(i.e. I see a few seconds of fluid animation and then animation hangs, jump 10-15 frames(images) ahead and continues. It always happens at the same places in animation cycle.
I though that Android might not have enough resources to handle something like this, so I've resized images to half their size, but it did't help. I've tried buffering images but that did't help either(actually, maybe a little, I think that animation looks a little bit smoother).
And now the weirdest thing. I use the touch screen to allow users to "rotate" the 3D object on those images, and while rotating I again experience those hangs at exactly the same places as with the animation.
All images are in .png format and their size vary from 15kB to 40kB.
I use the following code for the animation:

I would prefer to not have to purchase a Flip Video Recorder to provide me the frame by frame playback needed (coaching girls softball) for instant instruction at practice. Is there an app that provides playback of video at a frame by frame rate?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to build a live wallpaper using frames. I can't find any good tutorials on how to even build a live wallpaper. When I run app from eclipse i get these errors.

[2012-05-19 22:26:32 - LiveWallpaper] The launch will only sync the application package on the device!
It does install to the emulator. It all seems to work. I go in to the live wallpaper menu, find my live wallpaper in there open it, it loads. but its not moving through the frames. It only shows the last frame. I set it as wallpaper. It also doesn't do anything. Also would like to center the images.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recorded a video clip which had a strange effect. When in photo albums, instead of a thumbnail of the video in question, the phone created a thumbnail of a video I have recorded previously and then deleted. Does anyone know how to make the phone recreate all thumbnails for the media files? I am leaning towards deleting all the files in /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails/ but not sure this is the way to do it?
View 10 Replies View Relatedi've just upgraded to the Desire & am liking many things in it, but this issue bugs me:i've synced & linked the contacts in my 'people' app. in some cases, this involved linking the FaceBook profile of a person with a pre-exisitng phone number in my phone/sim card. The problem is that the phone seems to default to the Facebook 'profile picture' as the icon/photo that shows up in my People app (for that contact), even if tell it not to.I've tried downloading new pics, or taking a photo with the camera, and then manually setting this as the 'icon' for a certain person. This works for a while (a few hours?) and then within one day, the phone automatically re-sets this icon & replaces it with the Facebook profile pic. again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC widget for wi-fi access being turned on and off placed on one of my homescreens. The widget allows wi-fi to be on or off. When clicking the wi-fi widget ON the wi-fi won't come on until I manually go into Setting ->Wireless and Networks->wi-fi network and manually turn on my Wi-fi connection. Now this is not a huge issue but one none the less. Once I connect the wi-fi in this manner it work fantastic at 54mbps. with a good connection. I know the router is working since I use it for my laptops in the house and my in-laws come and use it as well with no issues.
Is this due to the fact that it has WPA password (which is already saved on the phone as the password and doesn't ask for it to access the wi-fi)? Could it be something I am doing wrong. Is there perhaps something I can do to fix this, whether it be a setting or a 3rd party widget to toggle between on and off.
Is there a way to know if there is an instance of your widget currently on the homescreen? I always end up using variables that change state with onUpdate() and onDeleted() calls, but that obviously that isn't effective in every scenario.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had the big version of the weather widget on my home screen till I accidentally removed it. I think I removed it. It's now blank where it formally was. This is the default weather thing that's on the home page of the phone when it's new. I am assuming I had HTC's Weather widget, but now when I try to re-add it (Plus Sign/Add Widget/Weather) I get an error that says "No room for this widget", "In order to install this widget you need to create space on a page of the Home screen". So I actually cleared everything off of the main home screen and I am still getting that "No room for this widget" error. How I can get the weather back on this page?? I can add the 2 smaller versions but not the one I formerly had.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I had the setCPU widget on my homescreen, and was noticing that when I wake my phone up, the screen comes on but it would take about 4 or 5 seconds for it to respond to any scrolling or touch input. At first I suspected it was my screen off profile being too low (480/245). But I then removed the widget and the problem seems to be solved for the most part. Can someone confirm that this is an issue or is it just a placebo? Oh, running PlainJaneT2 Stock 2.1 with OC and A2SD.
