Generally music setup is good, much better than on the Blackberry. However, when I go into the album folder all the songs show up from that album as individual albums; on some of them when I click, it will show about 3 songs, others 1 etc. Also, showing 3 of the same song, not sure how that occurred but can probably fix that.

I bought my Galaxy S to replace my Rockboxed Cowon X5L. It has 30GB of storage, my Galaxy S has 48GB of storage. It's going to hold around 250 albums. I don't have single tracks, I just have albums, and typically I'll play an entire album rather than a single track. I've tried several music playing apps on Android and they're all awful. Not a single one of them is even halfway competent. I want to be able to go into a music player, and browse through folders and select music to play that way. I want to be able to go into a folder and start playing a track and for the music player to continue playing all the tracks in that folder and then stop. I want next/previous track to go to the next/previous track in the folder. The default music player is rotten, and does not work in this way at all. Any other music player I've seen seems to be built on top of the music player or just a reskin of it. They're all shite too. Has anyone created a music playing app that is fit for purpose? Has anyone seen one?
View 13 Replies View RelatedThis forum and the community has supplied my answers for Missing Album art, I use 'Album Art Grabber' from Market which is good (except compilations find the artist covers instead, but SD card loading is fine bypass) My problem is that my music, once moved to my HTC Desire phone splits into one track per Album (with Cover art =). So a 34 track album, aok in iTunes now lists as 34 Albums with 1 track each.In iTunes its fine. I use DoubleTwist (another fantastic application) to move the music over.Any body else bumped into this problem?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm loving the HTC Desire, but there's a problem for me regarding the music player - half of my albums are just a black background with a note. It's really annoying, as half of the albums have their true cover. I can't find anything on Google about how to get the other albums working. I have tried renaming the album covers to all sorts of stuff and nothing seems to work. I tried searching album art on the market but the only thing that returned was a paid app, and I'm not willing to pay ?3 for something that I should be able to do for free.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order.
So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT...
If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.
im trying to put music on my desire and where ever i put it, it doesn't appear. For example if i add it to MP3 and look in that folder its not there?

A quick search made me download tinyPlayer which does the job fine but the interface kind of lacks visual appeal. Any other apps for the purpose?

1.) - How do I put my iTunes music on to the Desire?
2.) - What is the PC Software like, and do they have or plan to have a iTunes version for Android any time soon?
3.) - Can you make folders on the Desire to put photos in?
4.) - Is 1GB enough, if I have 3G on but not using does this still eat up my allowance?
5.) - Can the Androids phones get viruses if you visit unsafe websites?
6.) - And with Vodafone does your monthly bill show the websites you have visited?
Trying to sync my i-tunes from my desktop using sync 3.Wouldn't recognise nearly any of my itunes (nearly 1600 songs) and would only sync 30 odd.Occasionally sync would identify there was 8GB of data to sync for music, but would seem to hang on certain songs and then disconnect with a 'Sync failed' notification. I've added a 16gb micro card & formatted it.After much fiddling & whatif analysis, I ended up selecting the songs directly from my 'C' drive.Painfully slow nearly 600 songs added, but nearly cooked the phone in the process eventually got a fail message on the desktop system tray.I abandoned it after that, when I have the inclination, maybe just select an album at a time to stop the phone overheating labour intensive again.

I've been living off my wife's old contract phones for years and I always hated going into stores to look at phone as sales people always tried to sell me stuff I didn't want / need. I've now decided it's time to invest in a Desire with a contract (T-Mobile). Their �10 a month for 100 mins & txt (phone �164) is tempting but I probably prefer 600 mins & unlimited text for �21.35 (after redemption) from buymobilephones.net How's the best way to approach a sales person in a store bearing in mind that I'm a new customer? Are they fairly flexible when it comes to discussing contracts? I just fancy walking in and asking if they can match a certain contract deal on the internet!?
View 2 Replies View Relatedsetting up UCCW so how the widgets created should be inside the UCCW directory..some of the new clocks, battery bars, etc. I downloaded come with just a "UZIP" file, some come with a UZIP file & an image and some come with a whole directory that has weather images, fonts, etc. inside.
In the posts & threads I found previously that didn't really explain how to set up the new widgets, they just said "put everything inside the UCCWoutput folder"....
now, if one widget I download unzips to a folder with all that widgets' contents inside should I just put that folder inside the UCCWoutput folder?or do the fonts go into the "fonts" folder on the SD card and everything else go into the UCCWoutput folder?
right now I have almost everything placed in the UCCWoutput folder...no folder for images or files or font or separate folders for separate widgets....and only a few of the widgets show up when I try to add one to my screens...I thought maybe that each widget should have it's own folder but from what I read in previous posts I found the explanations were pretty vague...."put so-and-so inside the UCCWoutput folder"....that doesn't explain anything really since some widgets have 1 file and some have a UZIP file, a font file and a bunch of images...

The files play fine, but none of them show the album art anymore (it is just a blank CD image with a little android up top). All of the data should be there as it plays just fine in iTunes and didn't have issues on the iPhone. Is there any way I can get the album art back?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed something weird with the stock music app....when I open the app (get the coverflow type view) or use the widget, the cover art for each song is horribly wrong. HOWEVER, if I enter the list view and go to albums in the app, the right art is show beside each album. As well, I installed MixZing music app, and it shows the right albums.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use MediaMonkey to edit all of my mp3 files so that all my artist, album, year, track number, album art, etc is correct. Today I added an artist (Dub_Fx) with 2 albums and one single to my Droid; the single's album art showed, as well as one of the albums, but the other album's album art isn't showing at all, but I used the exact same method for all of the files. Each mp3 has an imbedded image file saved to the tag, each of them 350x350 images, and none of the mp3 files are protected either. Other programs on my computer show the album art correctly (and I've deleted the images from my computer, just to make sure they were saved to the tag and still show properly), but for some reason it won't show for that one album on the Droid's music player. I've even tried changing the album art to something else, copy over to the Droid, change the album art back, rewrite, and still nothing at all.

The phone searched searched for it, and applied the available art to my music. The problem? Half of my songs have a David Banner album cover Any chance I can take it off? Half of the songs have it.

I always added my own album art to iTunes and on the iPhone it looks clear and crisp. I figure that iTunes optimizes the photo for the iPhone but i'm trying to now optimize it for the Captivate and am running into a wall.Has anyone else experienced this and fixed the problem?
