Nov 20, 2010I know this is going to sound absurd, but would it be possible to for instance, buy a 4.3 inch (S)AMOLED screen and swap it with the DHD one?

General :: Changing Ext4 Partition To Swap Without Having To Format Entire SDCard?
Apr 27, 2013One of devs from my device had told us that he'll move system and data images from sdcard to SD ext, but actually he left before doing this so now I'm stuck with useless 5gb ext4 partition on my scard. I'd format it and then change partitions if my sdcard wouldn't be filled with over 20GB of various files. Is it possible to change the size of the second partition to about 500 MB and turn it from ext4 to swap without formatting entire sdcard?

HTC Desire :: Changing Screen Without Actually Pressing Screen
Apr 19, 2010I'm sure my Desire is changing change all by its self. Sometimes when you put it down it goes onto desk clock or weather. ~Presume it does not has a shake to change screen facility or anything.Maybe its just me, the screen is very sensitive.It's just done it again, picked it up and it moved off the HTC scene onto weather.

Apr 3, 2010I've been looking to swap out the HTC Desiree's keyboard for one with voice search in it. I installed Verizon's keyboard 2.1 but can't find a way of enabling it. I think it appears as 'Android Keyboard' under MENU > SETTINGS > LANGUAGE & KEYBOARD, but even although I ticked the box to use it, it still doesn't appear, defaulting to the HTC one instead.

I downloaded an image from commons on my phone. I then hit settings->personalize->home wallpaper->Photos and then select the image when it appears. I get the confirmation popup "the picture has been set as your wallpaper" but when I hit the home key nothing has changed.
If I select any image from "photos" it does this, but if I select HTC or Live wallpapers it works fine.

May 28, 2010I was wondering, is there a way to change a program's name? Like for example. I've got a game on my HTC Desire "Labyrinth Lite". Sep 13, 2010I know hardly anything about Android but here goes. I just upgraded from my Hero to an Evo and got my g/f a Samsung Epic. I played with both phone all evening and really like certain feature on each. I like her overall user interface more than mine. She has the four "shortcuts" at the bottom of the screen which I think is pretty cool but I have all the slick HTC widgets.. Is there a way to make my UI have the "shortcuts" at the bottom like her phone without loosing my widgets? I figure I could search around and load her interface on my phone but then I figure I will loose the HTC factory stuff.

The Activitie's view consists of an ImageView, two Buttons and a Spinner. I don't have static variables and can't imagine where i could leak a context.
Most of the times, the exception is thrown at setContentView (R.layout.upload); sometimes it goes fine until imgUpload.setImageURI(imageURI);
The images i am displaying are form the G1's camera, so about 500kb and 2048x1536pixels

Sep 6, 2010I want to change the email address the phone is set up to. But I have a niggling suspicion doing so requires a factory reset. First things first, please tell me if that's wrong and I'll be happy. If however I'm right, What's the best way to go about saving everything? If I download a backup program, will it store all my settings, apps etc or just data on the SD card? And will changing the email address bugger something up and stop me from restoring the backup? I wouldn't put it past google.
