Is there a way I can force the phone to ask for my account password every time I access this particular account - or is there something I can set internally on the phone to protect the e-mail app?

I'm wondering if there is a way (or app) to password protect individual apps/programs.Sometimes I hesitate to let my friends try out my phone, because it means they have full access to my text msgs, emails, facebook, etc. I'd like to password protect JUST those apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a Galaxy Ace S5830 phone and now I've changed my phone. It had one app that I could protect any of my gallery photos with a password. I don't know if it was a pre-installed app by Samsung or I had installed it manually and I can't remember the name of that. I need it for my new Galaxy Note... Remember I just want special photos in my gallery to be password protected. I DON'T mean an "App Locker Program, such AppLocker Pro app or similar to it".

Is there a way or an app that will let me lock certain parts of Settings? Like if I want to allow our users to change Sound, Display, etc, but lock them out of Applications and Accounts&Sync?
I have found a few apps that will let us password protect things on the phone, but with them if I choose Settings, then they can't change anything and I want them to have a bit of flexibility, but I have to keep them out of Applications because then they could just kill the password app that locks them out of certain apps.
I'm looking for a way to lock or password protect the wallpaper settings. There are apps out there that lock apps, and lock the "settings" app, but long pressing the homescreen allows you to alter wallpapers directly and circumvents any such protection.
I know you can password protect the whole phone, but that's besides the point. I'm looking for a way to protect wallpaper settings specifically.
Is there an app that lets me passwordl protect certain apps and that also has a widget for easily turning it on or off. I have looked at some but I am not sure if they have a widget. I tried applock but it doesn't. Do you guys know of any app like this.

I have password protected the device to stop the phone being used while it is on, but it's really pointless when someone can turn the phone off and just reflash the device.
Granted, they could do that anyway even if i had an offical rom without the recovery image, but it would still be a nice feature if it's possible.
Is there anyway to password protect my folders and apps? Even my photos gallery?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on a family plan with my wife and 13yr old son. We purchased a Galaxy S4 for our son as a Birthday present in October. However, as of recent his grades have taken a dive. We notice he eats, sleeps and breathes on the phone. He primarily uses it for surfing the net, instagram or youtube. We were thinking of grounding him and removing his phone but we need him to have his phone as a point of contact. However, is there anyway to stop his data usage. I realize there is a setting on the phone to disable data usage but it is fairly easy to re-enable it.
Is there anyway to lock or password protect the phones settings or data usage?
I tried googling but the results kept yielding information relative to the "lock screen" which isnt what im looking for.
I'm new to Android. I recently was an iPhone fan but thought that Android was a better alternative to iPhone. So anyway, I have a few questions about the Captivate. Does Android have support for apps that you can use to password protect certain apps on the phone? Like messages, and photos for more private stuff. Another question I have: is the Captivates reception really bad? I currently have the iPhone 4 while it doesn't have the best of signal, its not too bad either. And my last question is if the captivate has support for 32gb cards. I'm sorry if someones already gone over these but I could find anything right away. Anyways, I look forward to Android and the Captivate.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy friend just lost his Desire at an airport. The pattern lock is active, but that does nothing but protect the data on the phone - Not SD. The first thing they would do is to switch the phone off and replace the sim.
Now here is my question : Is there an app that will send an sms to a preallocated number if the phone is booted up with a different sim? I know some Samsung phones can do this. But having an app that requires your own sim to be able to find it if stolen is quite pointless.
How do you say a password to an android application. For example, I want to set a password to the gallery application because I don't want people to see my pictures. Could I set a password to it whether it is a number pin or a side type thing?
