I used to be able to view full websites but now I am only seeing mobile versions of some sites (BBC for example). I have reset browser settings to default. Mobile view is not ticked in settings. I am stuck.

As the title says, does anyone know how to set dolphin browser to open full websites instead of defaulting to mobile web pages please ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to view a full version (desktop version) of a website, but unable to (www.fanhouse.com incase you are wondering). I remembered I could force my old HTC G1 to do this by changing the UA String by putting "about:debug" in the URL, then click "Menu" and setting UAString to desktop.
When I did this on my Vibrant, the moment I exit out of settings page, the Web App crashes. The Web App will force close and can not be restarted until I go to Manage Appicaltions and do a "Clear data" of the Web App.
Anyone have anyluck doing this? Is this a bug with the Samsung's browser or is it a problem with Android 2.1's browser? I still new to 2.1 and to Samsung's TouchWiz so bear with me.
Does anybody know of another website other than youtube that allows you to watch videos on the droid?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a Samsung vibrant. But one thing that really bugs me is I can not view foreign websites on it. By that I mean say I visit a Indian website with Indian alphabet characters as its font...I can not not actually read it since I get random symbols. But on my old nexus one running 2.2 i could view the page perfectly.
Any suggestions on how to get the vibrant to be able to view the foreign webpages with foreign languages as main type? Is it a 2.2 thing?
i assume this would be an Android stock browser problem, not a HTC Desire specific one? 1. i am have problems logging in to some sites one site in particular was always OK until i cleared all my cache and cookies, etc, now i can't log in to it at all the page just keeps reloading to the 'please log in' page, it shows no error, just behaves as if i hadn't included any log in details 2. some sites cannot load with an error saying "too many server redirects" - does anyone know what that's about? edit: i just installed Opera Mini and that allows me to log in straight away - but damn it looks ugly on the Desire

I am rendering a ListView inside a dialog. The ListView elements are very simple TextView objects. The problem: whatever I do, they never take the full width in the list view, which has the side effect that the list view selector only covers the actual text, not the whole list entry (i.o.w., if the text of the entry is much smaller than the width of the listview/dialog, then only a tiny portion of the list element is highlighted when focusing it).

I had this memory card previously in my Droid eris and did not have this issue. Ive tried formating the sd card twice and resyncing the songs twice using 2 different programs double twist and media monkey still the same outcome. The songs are in itunes format.
View 32 Replies View RelatedI was looking at the Captivate and the iphone4 in store today and when comparing the same web pages in full page view the text on the Captivate was much smaller than the iphone4, even though the iphone screen is smaller. Zoom just made everything bigger so it wasn't in full page anymore. Is there a way to make the text bigger while in full page view? On a side note, that iphone4 screen is super sharp for text and the whites were much whiter vs the blueish tint on the Captivate.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI usually charge my phone overnight, so plug it in and let it charge until i get up on a morning.However I'm noticing when I unplug it, the battery drops almost instantly to between 96 and 91%. I'm thinking this is a case of overcharging? Its just happened to me now, so I've turned the phone off, let it charge and as soon as the orange light turns green I'll unplug it and turn it on and see what happens.Anyone else any experience of this? I want to charge overnight, but if its going to give me a worse battery life by doing so.

Removing the widget and re-adding makes it work again a reboot also brings it back to life for a couple of seconds but then goes blank. Clicking on the weather picture on the clock still brings up the details weather screen.

As we all know the internal memory is pretty small on the Desire, and i've tried to be conservative with the apps I install (unless I know they can be moved to SD). However, despite this i'm constantly low in internal memory. at the moment, the only apps i have installed on the internal memory are beautiful widgets (1.36mb), colornote (524kb), facebook (3.05mb), mixzing (3.70mb), multicon (316kb), swiftkey (1.84mb), (tasker (1.43mb), voice search (2.54mb) .everything else I have moved to the SD card via app2sd or through the recently posted trick to get all apps to automatically install to SD. As you can see, the apps I have installed (obviously this excludes all the various htc stuff that comes preinstalled etc) falls far short of the supposed 148mb that i have available to install apps, so can anyone shed any light on what might be going on? I've tried clearing various caches to try and free up some spece but this has barely had any impact and this is truly starting to bug me. I've got a desire on 2.2

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been running with about 15-20mb of memory left for the last couple of months perfectly happily, haven't installed any new apps etc. This morning when I woke up the phone was suddenly reading completely full with something like 44kb of internal memory left. I went through and deleted a bunch of apps, emptied various caches and got the memory back down to 130mb of the 147mb. Now, I've had my phone on charge all afternoon, maybe 3 texts and 5 emails have come in and all of a suddenly the memory is totally full again! Most apps now force close because there's not enough memory to run them but something is obviously just filling up the memory somehow. Anybody else have this problem, or any ideas how to solve it?
