May 17, 2010It's only a little niggle but I sort my browser bookmarks alphabetically but most of the time when I go back in they've gone back to being sorted by newest.
This happens without adding any new bookmarks!
Anyone else get this and find a solution?

Sep 13, 2010When I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?

Sep 6, 2010I have been using LP Plus and absolutely love it, transformed the phone IMO. I am however, having problems with the bookmark display in that it is not displaying the web pages in the widget as it should be, it just comes up with the name and a standard image. I have tried just going into the page but it doesn't work.

Aug 24, 2010My browser is Dolphin HD and I need a bookmark widget. I have a full page (4x4) to fill, and would like something that shows either a scrolling list or a collection of thumbnails of the sites. The stock Android widget only shows 6 thumbnails (non scrolling) and the HTC Bookmarks widget will only show 6 bookmarks, 5 of which are links to Orange webpages that STILL show after I deleted them! I have a fairly short list of about 10 bookmarks, stored by Dolphin, and I want quick access to them from my homescreen without placing individual icons.

May 21, 2010Is there anyway to permanently sort and arrange my bookmarks? I've downloaded a few bookmark apps but theyre crap so I got rid. When I'm on a webpage and go to menu - bookmarks and then choose sort by most visited they always reset to the order i bookmarked them, newest first next time I go online.

However the bookmarks within the Bookmarks Application launched from the browser's menu are sortable. Is there any way to make these two independent bookmarks list sync with one another. I know there's an application out there to manually sort the widget's bookmarks but I want them sync and match.

May 23, 2010The weather widget on my Incredible (the one with the flip clock) will not auto update. I tap the sun/moon to get into the weather gadget, tap settings, on the top is a box to allow auto update. When its checked I get a warning of data use, allow, then back out to home. When I go back to weather settings, the box isn't checked.

May 17, 2010I have just swapped from an iPhone 3G to the Desire and am getting stuck whilst familiarising myself with the phone (and making it similar to my iPhone). I have put an unlock password on the phone but it is a pain as it requires alpha and numeric so I want to go back to using the visual password. Problem is I cannot find how to get the phone to swap back to using a visual p/w. Anyone able to help Whilst here is there an app out there to wake up the phone when you press any key and/or have the iPhone keypad pop up to unblock the phone? Other than that it is an impressive bit of kit and better than the iPhone in many ways but flawed in some basic areas such as the pathetic speaker. It nearly went back when I first heard it and seems a surprising oversight given it is obviously aimed at the social end of the market.

Jul 26, 2010I noticed that the stock bookmark widget comes preloaded with several bookmarks. These bookmarks also have thumbnails associated with them. After I added my own personal bookmarks to the widget, I noticed I did not get a thumbnail of the site associated with the bookmark. Is there any way to add a bookmark and also get the thumbnail? I use Dolphin HD as my default browser.

Oct 10, 2010Just thought I'd share that I downloaded Dolphin HD and it really is quite different from the stock browser. Seems faster, has nice features for eBay and Amazon, and just like how it handles. Maybe because it's different.
Question for Dolphin vets: I use the bookmarks widget as one of my homescreens, and when I click a bookmark, it does it via Dolphin. Fine. But when I click on the little globe at the top, it defaults to the stock browser. How do change this to be Dolphin? I've looked under Settings > manage apps, but nothing really asked me about which browser to make default.

2. Has anyone had any problems with the weather widget? The stock one that came with the phone. Recently mine has randomly stopped displaying the weather, but it would still show the city i'm in. If i hit refresh it will sometimes display the weather but then it will disappear again.

Honestly, why does a battery widget need to be able to read my bookmarks, browsing history, SMS messages, know my GPS location, yada? Compared to most apps, the thing seems pretty bloated, too - 1.25 Mb?

Jul 8, 2012Why I can't get all webpages to give me a preview in the Chrome bookmarks widget?
I even have to bookmarks on the same website, just a link to 2 different forums...one shows up, one doesn't. Cant get the mobile or desktop version of espn to show up. Almost none of my desktop bookmarks showed up so i made some mobile ones and only about half show up. I've rebooted my launcher restarted chrome, restarted the phone etc etc.
Haven't found another widget where all thumbnails show up either, at least htat will work on ics/chrome.
GS3 running Apex launcher if that matters.

Jan 9, 2014I have the Chrome bookmarks widget on my homescreen, and the first spot is taken up by the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder (see screenshot). This is really annoying. When I first started using the widget, this was not the case, after a while it just appeared there.
Anyway to avoid this? Maybe even a way to change the order of the bookmarks?
If not, is there any way to remove the "Mobile bookmarks", "Desktop bookmarks" and "Other bookmarks" folders in Chrome so I could just have my bookmarks in one place?
I'm on a Sony Xperia Z1, Android 4.3, not rooted.

is there a way to sort my SMS messages into folders? i have looked but cannot seem to do it.
even my old samsung flip phone had this option. it's just useful to be able to put messages i want to keep into a separate folder rather than having to keep it in my inbox and lock it.
