HTC Incredible :: Flash Super Slow Mo Audio Is That Normal?
Sep 2, 2010I just recieved my OTA yesterday And when I play you tube type of files it works fine.But when I play videos from CBS the advertisement plays audio/video fine.But when the show starts, I get full speed video, and the AUDIO goes into super slo mo.I also noticed the same behavior listening to KJRAM.com video ads play fine, but when the radio stream plays, its super slow mo.

Aug 2, 2010I have the Moment with android and have had no problems with picture messaging until last week. I can send pictures just fine, but when I receive them, the picture doesn't pop up in the text conversation like normal, it leaves a link to "download" the image. I click download and an error message pops up stating that the process com.android.mms has stopped unexpectedly and shuts down.

Feb 22, 2010It works and all, but it's kinda weird. It's like the Droid has a diff way of putting together picture messages (like w/ .gif files and such). There's usually a pause, then it starts, but each transition is slow and then after it shows, you then get whatever messaged was typed in. My g/f sends me stuff from her LG Dare, and it's all put together as it should be. It's been this way for both the stock messenger and Handcent. Is there a preference option I need to tweak?

Android :: Normal Maps Vs Normal Coordinates
Jul 10, 2010I'm currently working with OpenGL ES 1.1 and using the DrawElements convention along with Vertex, Normal, Texture Coordinate, and Index arrays.
I recently came across this while researching the idea of using Normal/Bump mapping which I previously though impossible with OpenGL ES: http://iphone-3d-programming.labs.oreilly.com/ch08.html
I can generate an object-apace normal map already from my 3D modeler, but what I'm not completely clear on is whether or not the Normal coordinates array will be necessary any longer if implementing a 2nd texture unit for normal mapping, or will Lighting + Color Texture Combined with a Normal map via the DOT3_RGB option be all that is required?
EDIT - After researching DOT3 Lighting a bit further, I'm not sure if the answer given by ognian is correct. This page, [url] gives an example of it's usage and if you look at the "Rendering & Final Result" section bit of code, there is no normal array ClientState for Normal Arrays is never enabled.
I also found this post here,[url] which explains it well... but leads me to another question. In the comments, it's stated that instead of translation of normals, you translate light direction. I'm confused about this as if I have a game with a stationary wall... why would I move the light around just for one model? Hoping someone can give a good explanation of all of this...

Aug 26, 2010I got my x on launch day no root no 2.2 all stock .well i've been noticing its getting slower don't have much installed only about 10 apps. The browser will start and then stop when u tell it to go somewere then after a dew sec it takes back off. Text message when u bring it up it takes about 10 sec to load then another lag to start typing and there wont be any old messages in box and when they do finally come up u can't scroll threw the old ones.

Feb 7, 2010I use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

Jun 28, 2010Does anyone know of a way to toggle on/off 3G? There is no 3G in my area quite yet (hoorah for living in the sticks).
Since there is no need for me to have the phone searching for 3G if it's not available. I tried to switch it off, however I can't find the setting. Has it been removed from the Aria?
I've gotten Curvefish's 2G/3G toggle widget, but no luck for me.

Jul 8, 2010sometimes i get a checkmark symbol right under the 3G or E on my Aria. i think it usually happens when i am connected to wi-fi, but there is no symbol like that in the manual saying what it is. if it's just for wi-fi, then thats kind of redundant since the wi-fi signal/symbol lets me know that

Aug 3, 2010I lost my battery cover (or someone stole it) from my birthday party. I cannot seem to find one online. I called HTC and they dont have one available, but maybe I got the wrong rep? I called ATT and they were no help. There is an HD Mini (somewhat of the same phone) battery cover on eBay but it doesnt have the metal connections since the battery cover of an Aria is part of the antenna. Please help me find one! Aug 9, 2010I have a couple of apps working using eclipse and the emulator. I now want to try the apps on my htc aria. I went through downloading the usb driver as the Android Developers documentations sans and a usb driver folder now shows up in my sdk folder. However, apparently there isn't a driver for the HTC aria in the folder.
After research some people suggested using htc sync. I donwloaded htc sync and let windows check that I had the latest version. However, my phone keeps saying that it can't find htc sync on my computer.
When I plug in my HTC aria, the device manager on my lap top recognizes two devices as listed below: My HTc under Android USB devices and a HTC Android Phone USB Device. I clicked on update driver for both devices, Windows found them on-line and verified that they were the latest. I dont understand why there are two drivers, but My HT seems to have a problem as listed below. One thing that I should mention is that I am using the dreaded VISTA.
Device Manager: Android USB Devices: My HTC Device status: Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
Description: Windows was able to successfully install device driver software, but the driver software encountered a problem when it tried to run. The problem code is 37.

So, the best I can tell is that there isn't a driver from the normal Android repository for the htc aria yet. And, for some reason my computer can't handle the htc sync drivers.
Will there be a usb driver for the htc aria that I can download from Android Developers in the future? Has anyone else been able to get htc sync to work with the htc aria? Is there anohter way to transfer my apps to the phone for development?
I guess that I can always use the ddms environment and transfer the app, but I really wanted a more graceful way to do this.

Aug 10, 2010I'm thinking of getting the aria as a "weekend" phone in addition to my blackberry that I use mainly for work. Would everything work fine if I just take the sim out of my BB and put into the aria?
