General :: Stuck At Android 4.1.1?

For xmas last year i got an ipad 2 and loved it!! but it fell off my car last year sna smashed, so this past xmas my dad got me a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1
I have been loving it so far to this date but as i just realized the android device will not update to android 4.2 or 4.3.It says is updated to as far as it can and i keep hitting the button but it keeps saying " the latest updates havwe already been installed!!

I currently try to design a "simple" layout with android. What it should do:
At the top and bottom of the screen should be a bar with a little content. Linear Layout, horizontal.
Between the bars is the space for the content.
This content should be divided into a "large" upper region and a linear layout with (right aligned) buttons at the bottom.
If there is not too much content the content area should be display centered in the available space. If there are more elements in the content, the area should grow until it fills the complete space between top and bottom bars. The Buttons below the content should always be visible. The area for the content should be scrollable in this case.
I tried something like this:
RelativeLayout
LinearLayout TopBar (AlignParentTop)
Button1 Button2 ...
LinearLayout BottomBar (AlignParentBottom)
ButtomA ButtonB ...
This works fine.
Then i tried to add an additional element
FrameLayout (Above Bottombar, Below TopBar)
This FrameLayout fills the remaining space. Fine.
Now i need a layout like this:
RelativeLayout (wrap_content Width/Height)
ScrollView
LinearLayout CONTENT (sometimes small, sometimes really large)
LinearLayout ButtonBar (horizontal)
ButtonX ButtonY ...
If i attach the buttonbar to the bottom of the relative layout the relative layout grows and does no longer wrap around the content. Instead it's height fills the complete available space.
If i put the buttonBar into the upper Relative layout i can fit it between Content and bottomBar. But if the contentn grows the buttonBar slides down outside the screen.
Is it possible that such a simple layout is not managable with Android?

The tab is on restarting problem, I had solve this problem before by restoring farmware through Sales_single_P729BV1.00.01..
But this time I m not able to clear out, it shows only Android Logo. I try to put in FTM mode again, but no success... it is suggested to connect in ADB, but computer wont respond... when I pressing both volume Button it connect and shows com-port, but I can't restore farmware in this mode.

I am stuck in the recovery mode "FACTORY MODE" in my phone. I've enter in the recovery menu (power + volume up down) then I enter Factory Mode, then Item Test. And in this item test I don't have an option to return to previous menu tree, my phone only have UP, DOWN and POWER buttons, and none of them goes back to initial menu. Also the battery is non user replaceable, so I'm completely stuck in this screen. It's a motorola razr D3 XT920. I'm going nut's.

I bought a chinese MTK6589 phone called the Tronsmart TS7 Glacier. I tried to flash CWM recovery with an app called Flashify. I was using the right CWM recovery for my phone, but when it rebooted it opened the normal recovery mode, and then when I tried to reboot, it didn't get past the first logo that comes up... Normally it shows an android logo, then it goes to a little animation with the tronsmart logo, then it's started up. Now it's stuck on the android logo... I've tried reflashing the stock rom from my SD card but I can't do it because it only works in CWM, the installation aborts normally. I've done it before but I got into CWM through a different app called mobileuncle or something. So yeah what I think I need to do is reflash the stock rom, but I can't do it without CWM, and I can't get CWM...

after too many pattern attempts I need factory reset (disabled usb tethering setting and wifi off). When I get to android system recovery I can't do anything. I'm trying volume up/down buttons but I'm still on "reboot system now"
When I push volume down button, nothing happens:

I upgraded my Galaxy SII to official android 4.0.3 through Kies one month ago. Unfortunately, it often hang and finally cannot boot up again after my yesterday hard reboot. It stuck in the opening white logo "Samsung Galaxy SII".
So I used "download mode" and followed all the steps, including killing Kies, etc. to flash a new 4.0.3 through Odin. Everything seems working fine before I clicked "Start", e.g. yellow "ID:COM". Only boxes of "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" were ticked.
However, the installation process got stuck for over 5 hours now as follows:-
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..[code]....
What should I do next?? It seems not appropriate to reboot my device at this moment, but seems no other choice......

My device is rooted, i was installing an app that tweaks performance which needed drivers to be downloaded / installed. As soon as i clicked that driver download / install button the device immediatly shut down. Now i'm stuck on its boot logo (Its a Chinese tablet powered by a RK3066 Chip / android 4.1.1) I tried (Holding power + volume down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Holding power + volume up) = Nothing / (Holding power + both volume up and down) = Dead android logo with red exc. mark on top / (Leaving dead android logo for a couple of minutes) = resets and logo is still stuck.
I have no custom anything . I did not do anything with the root except download apps.
I also do not have linux.
When the tablet is plugged into the PC when the dead android is displaying , it detects, but that is it, i cannot browse it what so ever.
All recovery methods in the tablet are (dead android logo)

I got galaxy gio, which has Android 2.3.3, today at a worse moment of my life, I update my gio from Setting > About Phone > Update then it ask me for sign in, I login then it start updating after some time it says your phone is now restarting, then a 20 - 30 mints loading comleted and it stucks, then I restart it doesn't do anything, it only stucks at boot up screen, on that my screen just showing me Galaxy Gio S5660 and then nothing happened just stuck, I again restart but it stuck.
now I want to restore it to factory setting by pc, if it possible, I thing i have disturb the OS so I can only restore it by from my PC. I have lost my android

When I go to the apps menu, the top bar with google play, settings and a search button has vanished and turned into the "search all apps" bar, and I cannot find a way to reset it so the google play and such comes back.

OK, one day I was able to open a Genymotion device, but later that day I wasn't. Reason?
When I opened a terminal (using CrunchBang Waldorf) and ran Genymotion, it would work fine, but then when I booted a Samsung Galaxy S4 4.3 , it would bring up the device fine, but it would get stuck on that "Android" screen, with the light going across.
I waited for a few hours, only to come back to the same message. I would open up the .Genymobile/genymotion-player.log using cat in terminal. The results?
[Genymotion Player] [Debug] Output command: "0%...10%...20%...30%...40%...50%...60%...70%...80 %...90%...100%"
So I tried running it through VirtualBox, giving me "untracked pid exited ____" with a number 100+ in the ____.
Other devices work fine, including SGS4 4.2.2, but SGS4 4.3 doesn't work.

i have a allwinner a13 tablet that has gotten stuck in the process of opening. i had installed clockmodrecovery and uberizer. and was looking for a way to correct root 'permission" that kept coming up when trying to install programs that needed root access. then i messed up.
i was trying to restore factory when it froze. i cannot use buttons to enter recovery mode. i made a back up in uberizer but am unable to find .how to use. also since this is happened i cannot load any driver to recognize the tablet into windoes 7device manager.

Installed a custom rom without cleaning cache/wipe. The install removed CWM and now the cell only show the Motorola logo and BootMenu 0.8.6.
What I can do to make it boot? I have a Linux machine and the ROM installed is a port of CyanogenMod 9.
UPDATE: After trying to get to Download Mode it dont power on. Only the charging LED turns on. Battery discharged?

Today after "installed" Chainfire3D my smartphone reset and is stuck on android logo ( with my foul, because Chainfire3D didn't work with Jelly Bean) . I did a wipe data and wipe cache and still is stuck on android logo. I have Alcatel One Touch Idol 6030X with 4.1.1 android Jelly Bean and ROM from Orange and root.

I have done a fair amount of research with my problem and would not post unless I was at wits end. So I made a terrible mistake and formatted my phone and took off my back ups. So after researching the problem I learned how to use ADB to either push or side load. Unfortunately my driver for my G2 is not present, and I have had no luck updating it.
The device ID presently is USBVID_18D1&PID_D001&REV_0232 I feel there is most likely an easy fix for my problem that I am overlooking but after hours of trial and error. My question is simple; how do I fix my driver.

I recently rooted my HTC one and loaded up Cyanogenmod. I loaded the most recent version yesterday, the nightly from 2/1 and it caused the phone to go into a bootcycle. I updated via CyanDelta, so it was a small file that was downloaded, and I dirty flashed using CWM. The issue is that my phone now is stuck in a bootcycle. Because I used CyanDelta, I do not have any full versions of CyanogenMod. Infact the only zips on the my phone are the update to the 1/31 nightly and the update to the 2/1 nightly.
Somehow my phone has its usb debugging turned off now, meaning I can not see it on my computer. I am wondering if there is anyway to reconcile this with my phone, since it is basically a brick right now.
I know there is Odin for samsungs, but it does not work for HTC? Is there something like Odin that does work from HTC?

I recently flashed a new custom rom everything worked fine until i added a new framework-res system app. I got stuck in cwm recovery and whenever i try to reboot my phone it comes back into the same recovery.
I can get into download mode though. I use cwm 5.0.2.8

i have a samsung galaxy S1 with cyanogenmod, and i don't know what happened but when i turn on the phone it just stay on the loading screen, something like this : just a black screen with that little loading icon in it (without animation) i tried running both recovery and downloading mode (V+/v-,menu,Power) but nothing works too, and there is another strange behavior, sometimes, it show me the "Downloading.... do not turn off target !!! " message, when it is in that screen, the pc does recognies the samsung driver but i have no access to it, and Odin doesn't find the device

All of the apps on my phone are stuck in landscape mode. Restarting and recalibrating don't work, nor does turning off auto-rotate. I even set my alarm clock app to portrait (i.e. ignore the rotation of the phone) and it's still on landscape.

when my Nexus S reboots it goes straight to the boot loader without holding power and the up button. I accidentally deleted the cm9 by formatting the sd card. So I have no files on my device. What can I do? I have tried to mount the sd card but to no avail.

I've been using Go SMS Pro for a long time and have never had this problem. When I get a new text, the Go icon shows up in my notification bar as usual (I have it set to do this), but when I access that text message either from the notification bar pull-down or through the Go SMS app itself, the icon still remains in my notification bar. The only way to remove it is to pull down my notifications and hit "clear". I believe I have all my settings in order (stock notifs off, etc.).

I have a Mytouch 3g with 3.5mm that will not boot past the "HTC magic" screen. I know the first boot after flashing a new rom is supposed to take a while because I've done it before successfully, but this time I've left it for hours and when I come back the phone is dead, so I fully charge the battery and try again, same thing.
I can still get to Hboot (maybe there's hope?) and this is what I see:
