after too many pattern attempts I need factory reset (disabled usb tethering setting and wifi off). When I get to android system recovery I can't do anything. I'm trying volume up/down buttons but I'm still on "reboot system now"
When I push volume down button, nothing happens:

I recently flashed a new custom rom everything worked fine until i added a new framework-res system app. I got stuck in cwm recovery and whenever i try to reboot my phone it comes back into the same recovery.
I can get into download mode though. I use cwm 5.0.2.8
I can access andriod system recovery but I cannot select the options.key combination to select the option I want.

everyone just said like a simple "just try again, maybe you push the wrong button or anything" I told them I had try every thing before I ask them all and that's all didn't work.
I just wanna flash the custom rom for my galaxy s3 and rooted like I did before on my galaxy young,
I have a Mytouch 3g with 3.5mm that will not boot past the "HTC magic" screen. I know the first boot after flashing a new rom is supposed to take a while because I've done it before successfully, but this time I've left it for hours and when I come back the phone is dead, so I fully charge the battery and try again, same thing.
I can still get to Hboot (maybe there's hope?) and this is what I see:

i have Samsung Galaxy Young S6310 rooted with CWM and orig kernel. Today i entered in recovery mode with Quick Boot app show some CWM recovery features to my friend and when i select ''reboot system now'' it show Samsung logo and CWM was back. Every time. Simple i cant start my phone. I can only enter to Recovery and Download mode. I search some posts, where peoples have same problem. Somebody said that I need to flash original recovery, i have it, but my USB debugging is off and Odin have trouble find my device. I have installed drivers on pc. Last thing - i havent got backup, so i am here.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a HTC Desire 601 with Virgin Mobile (in canada) and i tried to flash a custom rom, and it didnt work, i got an error 7, i tried several rom and all i got is a error 7.now i want to go back to a stock rom , but every time i think i have a good stock rom, i get an error 7.

i flashed PhilZ Recovery (philz_touch_6.19.3-zara.zip is the exact filename), but i think i've done something wrong because everytime i try to flash anything, i get an error 7, even doing a nandroid backup gave me an error..
so, what should i do to get the phone to a working state?
i have a motorolla droid 3. xt862. I am running cyanogen mod 7 and it is rooted. i flashed the Blur_Version.5.6.890.XT862.Verizon.en.US file using stock recovery and now the droid 3 bootstrap is gone and wifi wont work. im stuck with cm7 which doesnt work. I would just like to go back to the way it was when i got it stock rom and everything. I have no interest in custom roms because absolutely nothing works and it is all very buggy.

Background: I have been trying to root my phone from information found in a youtube video. All went well and the little ninja bloke with the sniper rifle was in the app list. Tried installing busybox and was told that the phone was not rooted�..
I think I ran the root application again and at some point I started getting this error message when in recovery. I have since run the one click root method to unroot the phone and the little nija dude is no longer there. Since I rooted the phone it will no longer connect to my wireless network, it finds the network and attempts to obtain an ip address. After a few min it times out and tries again. When I load the phone recovery the error message is still present.
When I use an explorer like ES explorer or Root explorer I can go to system/ and find several files & folders.
However, when going to recovery and using the TWRP File manager or by using ADB Shell the System-folder is empty except for a folder named bin/. No sign of build.prop or any other files/folders.
My phone is stuck at clockworkmod recovery 3.2.0.1, and it wont even load up to the stock screen of android, I've tried zefie's technique of putting the phone into emergency mode, but it still didn't work.

- bought a Thomson QM734-8G tablet (Allwinner A13b clone), running Jellybean 4.2.2;
- PC interface worked fine in MTP and large storage modes;
- setup Android SDK & Java JDK on PC and communicate with tablet via ADB;
All OK so far..After a couple of days, I decided to replace stock recovery with ClockworkMod Recovery, so I could start messing about with the tablet.
I found the CWM 6.0.2.8 mod supposed to work with these tablets and, following instructions, determined it was indeed running on sun5i hardware and had 10 partitions (nandj) and downloaded the appropriate version.
I used ADB sideload to install CWM and everything appeared to work OK ... until I rebooted and found myself stuck in a never-ending cycle of CWM-based recovery bootloop.All I get is the CWM recovery console, with a few lines of error & the tablet will go no further.

CWM functions work properly and nothing will mount through the 'Mounts and Storage' section, although sideload mode still seems to work.Attempts to use ADB sideload to install a different CWM or other recovery image have all failed, and LiveSuit and PhoenixSuit both have issues detecting the tablet (despite trying various versions of each & following instructions precisely), so I can't flash a replacement ROM to fix things.
At the moment, I just want to rip CWM out and go back to factory recovery mode and have a working tablet again! I think the Bootloader is locked and the tablet is unrooted. Superuser or SuperSU don't want to install properly. However, using ADB, it looks like I can get root access in shell (#).
Recently I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy 3 7.0 (SM-T210R) WiFi edition. After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device.

Last nigt i rebooted my phone to recovery to reflash ROM,did it and now it only boots in recovery even if im not pressing menu key...I could boot to download but without pressing menu key so i flashed stock firmware but still it only boots in recovery.When im in recovery i can move UP,DOWN using volume keys but menu key does not work,when i press it nothing happens...i think that that menu key is somehow stuck but it works normally when i press it i can hear "click" that makes but does nothing.
Got CWM 5.0.2.8 and run key test all keys work(volume up,down,menu key,back key) except main menu key got nothing on output when pressed main menu key
I hit the top button. Flash Clockworkmod recovery or what ever it said. I then backed up my Current ROM. I then downloaded Cyanogen v6.0.0 cr2. It downloaded and rebooted my phone. But It went to a screen with a Triangle w/ exclamation and a phone under it. I then hit the up vol button and camera, and now I'm at the Android system recovery page and I don't know what to do next. These are my options reboot system now apply sdcard:update.zip wipe data/factory rest wipe cache partition wipe base band data. I did click to backup current ROM and wipe data and cache.

I got a back up of the original rom that i made with clockworkmod so i would like to restore it. But i cannot boot in systeme recory mode
i tried:
vol up/down + home + power = no result
vol up/down + back + power = yellow and it says "emergency mode!! but nothing happen"
I rooted my phone a couple weeks back. I backed up my apps with titanium pro and downloaded ROM manager. I clicked "reboot into recovery mode" from ROM manager and the phone went into recovery.
I am now stuck. I have four options:
1. reboot system now
2. apply update from SD card
3. wipe data/factory reset
4. wipe cache partition
I tried option one and clicked the button on the right side of the phone (the "enter" button), but nothing happens. In fact, none of the options do anything. seems like the phone isn't recognizing the enter button.
I have not flashed clockwork mod recovery. I think it probably requires some type of reboot but i don't know the steps.

I have an android tablet which is the so called "Q88" allwinner a13 running on a 4.0.4 ICS, and I was trying to put a CWM on it and it did but it got stucked on the CWM, I used a sausage script for it (its the december 2012 file). can I unbricked my tablet? If yes how?
I just install the clockwork recovery and it's stuck on there I tried restoring default turning it off and on it will stay on there I think it's bricked and I don't have any backups what's do I do

I ran some scripts in gscript which caused serious problems just for a cwm restore. When restoring, it said failed to format /system. I tried to manually format it and it can't mount anything. What do I do now?

So just an hour ago I got an OTA update for my LG L9 and of course installed it. It asked me to reboot and so I did, but it got stuck in the Clockworkmod recovery and when I try to reboot the phone it just boot loops in the recovery no matter what I do.
Tried wiping, formatting everything I possibly could, but still the same.Also installed cm10.1.2, but it boots every time in the recovery after like 2-3 seconds after the LG logo appeared. The same was on the stock rom.I was running the stock jb rom which was rooted and with cwm recovery installed.
I have a Chinese 7 inch Tablet named Luv Pad AD701 based on Allwinner A10 processor. I installed "CWM 6.0.1.2_a10" and then rebooted to recovery mode. Now I am stuck in the loop of CWM Recovery mode. i have a samsung galaxy S1 with cyanogenmod, and i don't know what happened but when i turn on the phone it just stay on the loading screen, something like this : just a black screen with that little loading icon in it (without animation) i tried running both recovery and downloading mode (V+/v-,menu,Power) but nothing works too, and there is another strange behavior, sometimes, it show me the "Downloading.... do not turn off target !!! " message, when it is in that screen, the pc does recognies the samsung driver but i have no access to it, and Odin doesn't find the device
View 10 Replies View RelatedI was following the directions of this thread trying to install notifications toggles to my phone. Used root explorer. However, l changed the permissions on the wrong file or folder, it seems, as the phone just displays the logo and reboots, caught in a loop.
What files and folders has to have which permissions? How can I change them if I can't boot my phone? I don't have any mod other than Root, as this was the first I was trying to use, as I have to have better access to the toggles.
I know that I can make a recovery zip to install packages, but I was wondering if I can make a zip that will extract and replace database files on my phone that are not packaged. The reason I want to do this is so that when I flash a new ROM, I can easily restore certain phone settings like altered APN databases.
