I want the htc hero keyboard back! I installed a rom and it uses the the original android keyboard and i hate it. Can anyone show me where I can get the original htc hero keyboard back, or a nice better keyboard.

I am thinking about trying ShapeWriter Keyboard but have some concerns before I dive in. Can you also utilized the voice recording function if SW is installed? Also can you revert back to the original keyboard that came installed on the DI phone after installing SW?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI dunno if I was the only one who thought this way, but the kb on the hero that we used before we got an its from Sprint (that fixed msg app) worked fantastically. I remember literally doing my HW online with that kb. Was just wondering if devs ever considered using that kb with 2.1 builds. I'm sure our kb's can be better than what it is (laggy).

NOTE- I already tried ~Settings>Applications>Browser and then click the button Clear Cache and Clear Data then reboot your phone.~

Im running Fresh 1.1 rom
I rooted my phone Evo with the latest Unrevoked method. I then installed Rom Manager. From there I backed up the current rom I had on my phone (stock evo). I uploaded a custom rom. I hated the rom. I then tried to revert back to my original backed up rom. It didnt work! Now im stuck. How do I get back to my original rom? I dont care about being rooted. Just want the original Evo Rom Back.

recently my keyboard has been changing from swiftkey back to the original android default keyboard without me changing any settings. Then i have to go back into settings and re-tick Swiftkey before i can select it again.

For example handcent sms had new update that's getting a lot of people saying its "force closing", "slowing phone down", and adding cheeky "charges for some new crappy feature" when the app is meant to be free. I rooted my EVO yesterday, using unrEVOked, it did not want to install until i removed HTC Sense from device manager. I rooted the phone for the wifi tether, which worked. I then decided to install CM6, so i made a backup image using nandroid, and followed all the directions for that. CM6 did not want to install until in installed PC36IMG.zip. I found out that none of my contacts were there and needed to install GAPPS, which i can not find a file for that (all links seem to be broken). Now i want to go back to the original HTC rom, but still have the phone rooted.
*PROBLEM* When i go into the restore in nandroid it starts to run but then gives me "Error While Flashing Boot Image".
How can i get back to the stock HTC rom ?? Another issue is that when the phone is plugged in it no longer sees it as a mass storage device, and i can not see the SD card.
I changed my lock screen background to a picture from my picture folder and now i can't get the defaut one back. If I go to Personalize/lockscreen wallpaper I only get to choose from album pictures but in Home Wallpaper you get to choose from a Wallpaper Gallery. Why is that and how do I get the original background back or any other nice background pic.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo since the day I got my Eve (GW620) it's had a tendency to drop 90% of the calls I'm on, usually within the first 2 minutes. I've had all intentions of sending the device back for a replacement, which is why I paid the extra $50 for the warranty, however I've been lazy and it never went back. The device hasn't been used since July, until today. I found out that OpenEtna had got a working 2.2 Froyo ROM for the EVE, so I figured what the hell, let's play with this thing. So anyways I took it out of its box, rooted it, flashed it with the custom 2.2 ROM and was loving it, until I made a phone call and it dropped (after about 10 minutes).
Now for the last 4 hours I've been trying to find an original Rogers ROM to flash back to the device so I can ship it back and get a new one but this seems to be impossible - so to my fellow Eve owners, does anyone have the original Rogers boot.img and system.img for the Eve, or know where I can find it? Or anyone who has not installed a custom ROM, would you be willing to make a backup, factory restore, make another backup (with Original ROM), send me the boot.img and system.img, then reinstall their first back up?I did try tolemac's toleROM which is a 1.5 ROM, but it's custom too, already rooted with none of the Rogers apps.
I have accidentally installed this baseband on my Sky Vega 820: "IM-A810K_ICS_Baseband FW212.zip".
Afterwards, when I installed CM10 jellybean ROM update via CWM recovery it installed correctly but did not load. The CM10 screen appears and the wheel rotates but then a blue screen appears showing "MDM Error" and the phone reboots automatically. This keeps on happening again and again and the ROM never loads.
I think the Kernel of my device is changed. I want to move back and install the original baseband for my device but I am unable to find it...
I have Damageless's 2.0r2 on my phone, but the wife's is stock and she doesn't want me to root. She found out about my voice keyboard and now she wants one. Is there one available for stock non rooted hero?? We would prefer a free one, but will look at paid ones as well.
