Dec 31, 2013I have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

Feb 27, 2012I have installed some apps from Android Market to my Galaxy y. I needed to reset the factory settings and all the apps in the phone was erased. I only wanted to delete the email account. I tried to go to Android Market to reinstall. But it won't get in my phone anymore even when I click on install. There is a button that says installed. I checked on "manage account" setting and none of the applications are there. From Android market, when I click on "My Library" I see all the apps that I have downloaded before.
Question: Is it not possible to reinstall these free apps again? If so how do I do it?
General :: Xperia X10 OS Reinstall Failure
Aug 6, 2013I have been trying to reinstall the OS on X10 using the Sony PC comp and also tried with the Sony Update service but get stuck at the same stage in both.
Everything goes ok till downloading the files from the internet i.e preparatory stage. It then tells me to remove and turn off the phone and reattach while continuously pressing the back key (IMAGE 01). It says to select USB connected and mount the SD card. I am following the instructions to the T but nothing forward happens. I have repeated it over 50 times but no reward. It just does not go into the next stage of installation even after waiting 30-45 mins but sends out an error (Image 2)
I thought maybe xrecovery, OS Monitor, superuser, Antivirus might be interfering so I removed them too. Has rooting got anything to do with it?

May 30, 2014I am running SlimKat. I had to reset my phone to factory defaults, and now I cannot reinstall Nova Launcher Prime, which I paid for and installed before I restarted the phone.
When I open Nova Settings, and tap "Nova Launcher Prime", then the "Play Store" button, there is no option to buy or install, only an "X" where those buttons would be. When I tap that, the "Install" button appears, but once I tap that and the "continue" button on the blank app permissions popup, nothing happens - I just see the "X" button again. Yet Nova Launcher prime is still not installed.

Mar 10, 2013Last weekend I rooted my Galaxy S2 and was really happy that everything worked well. Yesterday morning I removed some packages which I thought are not required using Titanium backup without making a backup of them before!
That was in fact a big mistake, what's now happening is that after system reboot a popup appears telling me:
process com.sec.android.socialhub was terminated unexpectedly and what's even worse when I start the stock email application (com.android.email) it is terminated, too.
I need that program to connect to my work, they check remotely what application is used.
So my question is: how can I find out what I need to reinstall, where do I get it and how can I reinstall it?
General :: WhatsApp Stuck On Initializing After Crash And Reinstall
Sep 11, 2012So I had some sort of crash on my HTC Sensation where the phone rebooted, and all my whatsapp messages were gone. Whatsapp automatically backs up your messages every 24 hours, so I reinstalled to enable the backup.
1. After installation, when inputting information (after restoring your messages) and getting into profile info, I am stuck on an "Initializing: Please wait a moment..." box
2. This goes on forever
3. I have force closed, cleared cash, cleared data and tried again with no luck
4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (and reboot the phone) with no luck
5. I have uninstalled and installed the latest version from the whatsapp website (which has a different file size than the play store one) with no luck
6. I have redone this WITHOUT recovering my messages with no luck (even deleting the back up messages folder)
7. I can actually receive notifications from whatsapp, showing messages from groups / people, though clicking it takes me back to "Initializing"
8. Sometimes I get an "android.process.acore is not responding. Would you like to tell HTC?". This may be a separate issue as it still continues to "Initialize" no matter what I press
I can see 28 messages from notifications, some which are very important and urgent. I am using an unrooted HTC Sensation with ICS

Sep 25, 2012I bought this tab but there were few probs int he tab i called customer support they told me to reinstall the fw and the instructions were like this:
"1) Turn-off the tablet.
2) Press and hold the 'Volume +' button and connect the USB cable to the tablet and to your desktop/laptop. Now press the power button 10 times continually.
3) PC will show a message "Found new hardware". The drivers have to be installed manually. The drivers are located in the "Drivers" folder.
5) Run "AX01-tool.exe" located in the "Update Tool" folder and follow the procedures. When prompted to select the image file, select the file "AX01-20120615.img" located in the "Image" folder.
6) Once the initial setup wizard is complete. Disconnect the USB cable and reconnect to the tablet.
7) The PC will prompt you to confirm the initialization of the upgrade and format, select "YES" to continue. Once confirmed the update process will start.
8) Once the update is completed the tablet will automatically switch to charging mode.
9) Turn on the tablet to complete the finalize the update process. The initial boot will be slow and it will take a few minutes for all the application to get installed.
-> Perform the above process ONLY when your Tablet is connected to charger.
-> Do NOT press Cancel or Disconnect the Tablet from desktop/laptop during the update process."
But im not able to connect the tab lyk that to my pc and im unable to install the usb drivers and from this morning tab is not starting up.....

Nov 17, 2010I had a free version of an app. I upgraded the app and paid through paypal, when I did this, the developer sent me an upgrade password. Now the problem is, when I reset my phone or get a warranty replacement I have to send the developer an email to get a new password, which is kind of a pain. Is there a way around this where I can reinstall the app without going through this every time?

Mar 20, 2014I want to install a new rom to my android tablet.There are necessary instructions and files.One of the files are rockchip batch tool v1.5 and other is a disc image file named rom.
It says
1- load the drivers
2-select the img file (rom) in batch tool
3-install it to device by clicking restore.
Is this enough or should i delete the rom that is already loaded in my tablet.Like when we format the old OS in computers?
