General :: Is Emulated Device Storage Same As Cloud Like Memory Storage
Sep 13, 2013On my galaxy tab 2 7, with Android 4.3, I have two choices of memory storage, emulated and extSdard. Im wondering if the emulated is actually on a like Cloud system or are the files still on my tablet? Also, if emulated storage is for multiple users, does this mean another device is connected besides my tablet?

Nov 30, 2013So I have downloaded a game called trainz, which requires me to download 300+ MB data. I have a samsung galaxy young s6312. I have downloaded the game with the data on this mobile. Recently I got a note 2. I want to play this game on my note 2. But i don't want to download the data all over again. Is there a solution by which I can copy the data folder from my old device to my new one?
I already tried copying the com.nv3games.trainz folder (size 318 mb) from my old device to the obb folder of my new device, which didn't work. I also tried copying it to the data folder of my new device, which also didn't work. The Game was still asking me to download the data. Both devices are rooted, so any solution which requires root will be ok.

Feb 25, 2014In any Google play game I cannot view the achievements any more, the window flashes open, white, then closes. In the Google play app it will show the amount of achievements next to each game, ie 2/14, but clicking on my achievements shows a blank page. Leader boards still work though..Tried clearing cache, re-installing, etc. Last resort is to restore my tablet.

General :: Emulated Internal Storage As SD Card?
Apr 16, 2014Yesterday I received my Huawei Honor 3C and I've installed MIUI ASAP instead of Emotion UI. Everything's great but I have a problem with double SD Card, I mean: I have my own external card and the phone got his own by emulating it's internal storage as SD Card (it's a symlink to /storage/emulated/0 and it's the same as /storage/emulated/legacy, so this fake sd is eating up my storage, there are also other symlinks in /storage/, /mnt/ and even in root folder there is a symlink sdcard->/storage/emulated/legacy). Phone and apps are correctly seeing external card as SD Card but in reality the internal storage is being used for everything.Because of this I have only about 5GB available instead of 64GB
Is there any way to terminate the emulation or changing it's target to sdcard2 so that I could use my card correctly? I've tried few things but nothing works. Symlinks are being recreated during boot so editing or deleting them does not work. Editing vold.fstab does nothing because ext is being mounted after boot while the emulation stars while in it - I guess that a proped ini script could do the work.

I found it report the dir /storage/emulated/0 is Read-only file system.the config is just as follows:

Jun 16, 2012Since i have an android device and tried some roms for this device (HTC One S)and its dissapointing to see that landscape mode is so lacking in the space that could have been used in messaging apps.
Its quite annoying (for me atleast) to have to withdraw my keyboard whilst typing something because the one i am texting with has sent something new.
I understand that this is not a place for requests, so my question is, is there any way to make messaging look like this (this image is not real)
and not like this..
I am not looking for a specific rom that allows this, im just looking for anything that makes this possible on any rom.

Jul 19, 2012I want to develop a peripheral device to connect to an android phone via USB OTG. The OTG specs [1] says: "A Targeted Host shall provide sufficient power to each peripheral on its TPL in at least one supported configuration".
Where do I find those TPL ("Targeted Peripheral List") lists? I searched at Sony Ericsson (because I have a Xperia Mini) and Samsung (as a different manufacturer) but with no luck. Is this an android related list?
On github I found a code fragement [2] from DooMLoRD. It mentions a OTG whitelist. But it seems to be something like a skeleton.
I do this research because I want to use the peripheral device in high power mode with about 300 mA. I thought I could compare the TPL with devices that also need 300 mA.

For example: I am in a train and I have a movie in my android phone and I want to see it but also share it with my friend on his tablet. I would like to see it in both devices at the same time. Is this possible? Do I need to download an app for this, to sync the reproduction of the video or music?

Dec 4, 2012How do you get the on device playlist within "play music app" to udpate/refresh. I have copied music files to my phone SD card, all the songs from the playlist and when look at artist, or other views it see that these are on device, but when go to the playlist it does not, also if I remove a song from the playlist from the web it still shows on device.
I don't want to download songs to device from the play cloud, like to move them over from PC. also do not want to stream from the cloud all the time, I listen to music too much to use that much data.
I want to just use the native play music app from google, but the on device functions are not up to par and end up using apps like power amp etc.

Feb 21, 2013I'm from India and we do not have full play store. As soon as I login even when using USA VPN, play store shows me only apps and not the full version. as soon as i logout i can again view full play store.
Till 2 days ago I was able to access full site after login. On same PC when I use my brother's id I can see full play store. Something wrong with my account. It seems like Google has blocked my account for these services. M not able to make any purchases other than from App section.

Jan 28, 2014I have a completely broken screen/lcd/digitizer on my Samsung Galaxy S3, debug mode was not on. The phone works as it will still vibrate when turned on and the LED / Menu / Back buttons light up during a boot. USB connector works as well. The phone was not previously rooted.
I had most important data on the sd card and I've already wrote off any other data on the phone as I've since moved on to a GN2. I would like to make use of the S3 (not necessarily as a phone but a server, security camera, etc.). I've read several posts here about my options and looked at numerous google articles, all seem to require debug mode being on or assume/require the data/OS must remain as this is what the user is trying to recover. I do not care if all data is lost on the phone, I just want to make the device useful again.
Am I out of luck if debug mode was not enabled or can I flash through adb via some obscure mechanism? Also note that fastboot is not an option here as the S3 (samsung) does not have it enabled. I am unable to get into "Download Mode" as I cannot see info on the screen.
