General :: Google Play / 2 Of The Same Device On 1 Account
Mar 19, 2013Is there any way to get 2 of the same device to show up on 1 account in Google play? I have 2 Android stick devices (the iMito MX2) on my 2 TVs, and it's a guess which one will actually show up in the store at any given time. I've named them two different things, but they still don't both show up. I assume Google thinks that I've replaced one and is getting confused.., other than to just create separate gmail accounts on them?

Nov 8, 2012I got a Brand new Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, great device, everything is perfect only problem I got is that when I'm in Google Play and want to look at the screenshots of an app, and swipe between them the device freezes, then vibrates and sends me back to Google Play, sometimes it gives me an error message, I have done like 3 factory resets but it doesn't fix it,

Apr 14, 2014So, I switched over to android from an iphone when the S5 came out - partially because I loath apple, partially because it seemed like(and is) an awesome phone.
However, I'm having one minor issue with it, and that's music management. Currently I'm just using the google play app, but my issue with THAT is I'd prefer to keep all my music ON the device so that I don't use data just to listen to music(Yes, it does cache it, but still). I've been putting my favorite albums as "keep on device", but the biggest issue is I have a LOT of music, and I don't want to have to go through every album and click the pin.
So,is there a way to make it so the play app uses "store on device" as the default? are there any other programs/apps to manage music on android similar to itunes?

I've already tried some apps, and BubbleUPnP promises to have this feature, but it just won't play songs from the cloud.
Is there any chance to install a system-wide service that routes all the sounds of the device to the DLNA receiver? On an iPhone that works via AirPlay, there must be something like that for Android too, right?

I have chosen for the music to be "on the device", and it plays when even in Airplane Mode, so I know it is not streaming, but the music files do not show up in my "Music" directory tree, or under any other file trees that I can find. I have used ES File Explorer to do a top down search for some of the missing titles, but it doesn't find them. I'm perplexed. There must be a cache somewhere, but I can't find it.

Jun 22, 2010I program and test using the Droid Incredible. The other day my friend downloaded my alpha version, which works flawlessly on the Incredible, but crashed on his Moto Droid. I just updated my app to use 2.1 api's instead of 1.6; maybe this will make a difference? I upped my min version requirements to 7. My question is how can you make sure your app works on all phones and not just the phone your are building and testing on? Is there a way to emulate a particular device?

I ran the SQLite queries (had to pull the DB and edit on my PC, then push it back), generated a gesture key and pushed it to the phone, restarted and... no dice. Nov 7, 2013Recently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.

Nov 22, 2012just trying out Google Play Music today. I'm confused though as I have around 10000 music files sitting in a folder on Google drive. I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I'm trying to figure out if the Google Play Music app tells Google what songs I'm listening to, or sends any other information to Google for that matter. If so, is there a way to turn that function off?
I know many people don't have an issue with letting Google know these kinds of things about them and that's fine. I'd just rather not. I didn't use Apple's genius recommendations on my iPhone either.

Dec 4, 2012How do you get the on device playlist within "play music app" to udpate/refresh. I have copied music files to my phone SD card, all the songs from the playlist and when look at artist, or other views it see that these are on device, but when go to the playlist it does not, also if I remove a song from the playlist from the web it still shows on device.
I don't want to download songs to device from the play cloud, like to move them over from PC. also do not want to stream from the cloud all the time, I listen to music too much to use that much data.
I want to just use the native play music app from google, but the on device functions are not up to par and end up using apps like power amp etc.

Sep 6, 2013I downloaded Eternity Warriors 2, started playing, then when I decided to play online, I can't play PVP because my device is rooted. I've tried a bunch of apps that hide root, or temporarily unroot, and this game somehow can still see it. All I can find online is Glu Mobile is doing this cuz they think a rooted device is capable of hacking their game.....even though it's server sided. Any way to bypass this, or hide my root from this game?

Feb 21, 2013I'm from India and we do not have full play store. As soon as I login even when using USA VPN, play store shows me only apps and not the full version. as soon as i logout i can again view full play store.
Till 2 days ago I was able to access full site after login. On same PC when I use my brother's id I can see full play store. Something wrong with my account. It seems like Google has blocked my account for these services. M not able to make any purchases other than from App section.
