This is something I cannot really find in my phone (Note 2) - some apps are saved on Phone's memory and some apps go to SD card. Is there a way to save apps right to the SD card?

My internal memory has almost been used up though, and I think this has something to do with my text messages. I was wondering if there is a way to directly save them to my micro SD card, instead of the internal memory? One of my friends, who also had a Hero, had too many text messages and her message app wouldn't open and kept crashing. I don't really want this to happen to my phone.

This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

Okay so now that i have rooted it i have the following questions:
1) i want to be able to save apps to my SD card (not on froyo yet) - i am not keen on these customized Roms and prefer something more standard what should i do?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an LG Optimus F3Q (I know, I know) with only 2 GB of internal storage, and 1.5 GB of that is taken up by apps and the operating system (I don't want to spend hours deleting apps one at a time to see how much space frees up, only to find out that it hardly gained me anything), so the remaining space isn't even enough to save one downloaded movie from Google Play. I have a 32 GB SD Card, but Google Play will not save a pinned movie to the SD card, and this thread suggested that it's not possible: Can Google Play Movies Play from an SD Card? I want to be able to save a pinned movie so I can watch it on airplanes or other places where data service doesn't work.
Are there any other apps which allow you to purchase a movie legally and save the downloaded movie to the SD card, preferably without rooting the phone? (I'm worried that rooting the phone will introduce another whole level of unpredictable problems that support won't be able to work with.) Either a method to trick Google Play into saving the file to the SD card (that's not circumvention of copy protection, since I'm not trying to duplicate the file), or, an entirely separate app, from Netflix or Amazon or whoever, that lets you buy movies and save them onto the SD card, where they might expire after some time period.

I have gone through Google search and found ""FolderMount "" software and downloaded to my tab.
I have installed also. It was successful.when I open FolderMount, it says......""serching for root "" ( with one EXIT button to cancel)....and doing nothing beyond that.
I plugged in my HTC Inspire 4G, and tried to copy everything on the card to a temporary folder, which I will then copy back to my new SD card. But the weird thing is Windows says the total size of all files and folders I copied is 1.85GB, but when I right click->Properties on the Removable Disc, it says the card has 1.94GB used. So there's about 90MB of something that's on the card but Windows can't see or copy. I'm concerned there's something hidden there that will cause problems if my phone can't find it on the new card. Any way I can make sure everything is copied over?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI plan on buying a new 32gb sdcard for my Xperia ray. What i plan to do is letting the phone use most of the space on the sd card but creating a second partition for a different purpose.
The purpose is to use that partition just like a normal windows(ntfs or fat) usb disk and eventually making it bootable for PC's. I carry my usb stick with me that i made bootable via easyboot and installed the tools i need which i wanna get rid of if my phone has the same capabilities.
Questions are
-Will a pc recognize that partition as a bootable device and eventually boot?
-If yes, will i need to set anything on my android such as usb debugging etc. after connecting?
-will that partition be independent from the android partition? (i guess this is a low possibility since the partition is on the sdcard and that is mounted to the android os, but may be android calls the partition sdcard thus not hugging the second partition)
When I connect to the student's wifi network, it requiers to configure the proxy with authentification. Well I'm fine with that, and the browser works all right, but all of the apps which require internet access aren't working. I also noticed, that when I'm configuring the proxy in the settings, it actually says that the HTTP proxy will be used by the browser, but not by some of the apps (in my case none of the apps work, including the pre-installed apps like android market, youtube or google maps).
So my question is that is there any way to make the apps work with the HTTP proxy? I should say that I found this thread on this forum:
