HTC Droid Eris :: Red Camera Blur Ala - Green Blur
Mar 30, 2010i just noticed this with my camera a few days ago. I like to use my Eris's camera a LOT (its a decent camera!) but am now disappointed that there is a reddish blur in the center of all photos. It is very noticeable on white backgrounds in medium to low light conditions. does anyone have any info? i rooted my phone and am still in the 30 day period, i have insurance too.

May 2, 2014After I take a lens blur photo using the Google Camera app, I can swipe to the right to view the photo and adjust the blur. After I select "done," the photo updates with my blur options. However, when I exit the camera and view this photo using Google Photos, the lens blur options I chose are not there and it's not possible to edit the lens blur. It seems I have to open the camera and swipe right in order to see the lens blur effects.
-Can I only adjust lens blur options within the camera app itself?
-Can I only view the lens blur effects within the camera app?
if seems this is a waste of the lens blur feature. After I make adjustments to the blur and select done, that's the image that should be saved and viewable by Google Photos, Gallery, and backed up to Google+.

Feb 8, 2012What do I need to do to modify a status bar mtz, to make it look like a gaussian blur background? When I extract the mtz, there aren't any background pngs..just the icons for the status bar. I see there's a theme_values xml, but all the fields in there are color codes and such..

General :: CM10 / AOKP And Dark Glass 0.4 Keep Restarting?
Apr 29, 2013I recently bought an HTC Amaze. I have it rooted, bootloader unlocked. Unfortunately, its a SEA (unbranded) version. I tried S-Off so many times but failed. So, I decided to give CM10 and AOKP a try, as I had heard that they don't require S-Off to work on any set.
Firstly, I tried CM10 with TWRP. It didn't work. It was because TWRP doesn't have Smart Flash. So, I switched to 4EXT. It worked. CM10 started, showed me its beauty. Then, suddenly, restarted. And kept restarting. I restored to stock GB ROM. Then, I tried its older builds. Same thing happened. Some people said, kernel could be the issue. So, I decided to try AOKP. Same thing happened. It showed me some screens; select language, lock screen etc. And then restarted. I also tried Dark Glass 0.4, with Mk4 kernel. Same issue happened.The steps I followed flashing the ROMs are as follows:
For CM10 and AOKP:
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache/dalvik
3. Format system
For Dark Glass 0.4:
1. Format all partitions except SD

Jun 2, 2009I can't seem to get the BlurMaskFilter to work the way I want. When I set a BlurMaskFilter as part of my Paint object and then draw a bitmap only the edges of the bitmap are blurred. Is there some secret way of blurring the entire bitmap? I noticed there's not really any sample code in the demo app or anywhere else on the web that I can find and the java docs for this class are sparse to say the least.

Sep 1, 2010I was wondering if anyone could help me make my decision between the HTC Incredible, the Droid 2 and the Droid X. I'm leaning towards the Droid X at this point over the Droid 2, because the physical keyboard seems superfluous. I type much more quickly on my iPod Touch than I do on my phone, which has a physical qwerty on it. I'm hoping Swype and a bigger screen will make it even better. For that reason, the Droid 2 is kind of a long shot, in my opinion.
Alas, it's mostly down to the X and the Incredible. After having read up on the specs of both rather extensively for the past few weeks (I'll have money to kill my AT&T contract and get on with Verizon sometime this month), the only thing I haven't been able to research very well is Sense versus the stripped-down version of Blur on the phones.

Oct 27, 2010So i really like a lot of the new "blurless" roms, however i really miss the corporate email aspect of blur. IMHO the blur email app is significantly better than the AOSP. Does anyone know how i could be able to add this back to the "blurless" roms. I have the deodexed apk archive that i got from somehwere, i've tried just installing the apk's that i feel would be required, i.e. blurservices, bluremail,etc. but i always get an "application not installed" error. i've even placed them in the /system/app folder and corrected the permissions with no success.
