View 1 RepliesSo my wifes captivate is having a display issue! It just slowly powers on to colored speckles. I tried Odin 1 click, and I heard the normal galaxy power on sound, but the display is fuzzy color dots.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIve got my HTC Hero, and you know, it was great. But.. When i turned it on for the first time(and all other times) there were a kind of ''dots'' on the screen. It look a bit like the picture down there(this is just made in Paint, but it really looked like that)
Then i went to the place where i bought it(called 'Telia', a kind of Orange, just in Denmark) and they gave me a new one. But.. The same problem, just a little few(er?) dots.
Then i just want to ask you if thats normal, or i just was unlucky the get two bad phones.. I am going to get a new one again in a hour.
Under light I can see a ton of dots on the screen of the Eris, especially when the screen is off. They are evenly spaced and go across the entire screen. Now that I've noticed this, I can see them when the screen is on too and it's annoying me. Can someone check under bright light and see if they notice these dots going across the screen?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI just got my incredible and I noticed these wierd white dots that appear to be on the LCD screen. I can see them when the phone is off or on a black background. The dots are in an organized pattern like 8-10 across and maybe 10-15 down. They look like specs of dust under the protective screen, but they are placed to perfectly to be that
My guess is that its for the touch screen, but is it normal to see it when its off as well? I've never owned a touch screen phone.
On Android, the home screen has dots to indicate which screen you are on. I want to do something similar in my app. Is there a control that contains dots and lights up?
View 1 Replies View RelatedVerizon just sent me my new Eris after mine decided to stop connecting to google. Maybe I never noticed this before, or maybe it is a defect. But, if you go to an all white screen, do you see black pixels spread out evenly like a grid on your screen?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm tired of those *** dots! Any way possible to get a numerical pattern like the iPhone has?
View 4 Replies View Relateddoes anyone notice that there small dots on the front of the screen when you hold in the sunlight and looks like a matte pattern it covers the whole screen. U can only see it when u tilt it up towards the light... anyone else seeing this? It may just be the oled screen not sure tho
View 11 Replies View Relatedi just noticed this with my camera a few days ago. I like to use my Eris's camera a LOT (its a decent camera!) but am now disappointed that there is a reddish blur in the center of all photos. It is very noticeable on white backgrounds in medium to low light conditions. does anyone have any info? i rooted my phone and am still in the 30 day period, i have insurance too.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Oxygen ROM on an HTC Desire HD. When I leave my phone alone for a while and come back to unlock it, performance is often slow for 20 seconds to the point where swiping between launcher screens is sluggish. After this time it goes right back up to normal speeds.
Is this possibly related to the CPU settings in my ROM? The settings are available governors - interactive, min CPU - 245MHz, max CPU 1024 MHz. My guess is that when the phone's idle it goes down to 245MHz and takes a while to get back up to regular speeds. Am I looking in the right place and how much would increasing min CPU frequency affect my battery life?
My new X10 has got lots of small scratches on it, its my own fault! have dropped it once and not got a case for it yet, is there any way of buffing the scratches out? I can get a new screen (about 50 off ebay) but dont really want to spend money on a new screen if i can help it.

I hav a rooted samsung galaxy s plus ,its running on 2.3.4 , i want to install custom roms. how to install in details?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI try to root my GS+ in recovery mode, but when chose "apply update from sd card" and after that selecting ROM zip file recovery mode says: Install /sdcard; Installation aborted and it happens with all ROMS. By the way im using default recovery mode (not ROM manager of something).
My firmware version is 2.3.6.
I installed few custom ROMs from xda I9001 devs but was not able to find the TV out functionality in any of those. Is there any custom ROM with TV out working propery.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI wanted to make an Update of my Galaxy S I9001 with kies and during the update it remained blocked to'' Downloading ... no turn off traget'' I always waited more than 2 hours at 0% when I turned off and open and I have a PC and a telephone between there is a yellow triangle. so I tried (Vol + HOME + POWER) says its forces ramdump fashion update because then I did (flight + Power) nothing. I saw a lot of one person is a procedure with Odin I do not know how to do it
my previous version was 2.3.4
One week ago i bought my first smartphone, Samsung I9001, i had no ideea what to do with it, so when i connected it to my laptop via Kies it asked me if i want to upgrade my firmware. I did it and at 3% stoped working. So i searched the web for solutions, i found that Odin program, and i installed android 2.3.6. I was really happy that i solved the problem, but then i found out that my warranty could be lost because i rooted my phone, and it apears also in Menu-About Phone-Kernel Version. So now i dont know how to unroot it, and install an official firmware, and what version of the firmware do i need, to have my warranty back.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to know how to install 'FINNISH' language on my wife's GT-I9001 (Galaxy S Plus)

I'm using application called SetCPU on my Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001
When I start it and press the home button to leave it running in background, it shows in Task Manager as active application, but sometimes it will shut itself down after few hours.
Is there a way to set applications to run always in background?
I have an issue with my i9001:
I installed CM9 (2 RCs) for a while but it was still buggy for me. Then I decided to go back to GB. Since I went back the wifi switches off immediately after switching it on. I switch it on. It starts scanning and it switches off again. The device does not connect to a wifi AP.
Currently it is running GIGABREAD+, but it did exactly the same with the original stock ROM which I saved on the SD card and installed again.
If I do a WiFi driver test (*#*#526#*#*) it states that the wireless driver loaded successful.
I have: I9001 Samsung Galaxy Plus
I must say its works well and i got Gapps working,The only problem i have experienced so far with this rom is that the Camera still does not work, when the next build or update is coming out? the camera unit is rather crucial feature.
is it possible to unlock samsung galaxy s plus (i9001) by installing any of the moded firmwares/kernels?
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday i flashed the latest PAC-MAN ROM (http:[url]... on my SGS+. Then i wiped Cache and Dalvik Cache. I rebooted, and then came the problem: at the "Samsung Galaxy S Plus GT I9001 with cyanogen(mod)" screen. There it stucks, and after around 5 minutes it starts again rebooting and hangs at the same point. I am using CWM Recovery v6.0.1.0.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a ZTE Crescent- Rooted/CWM recovery running CM7.
I was messing around with using CM9 and I like it but it isn't up for the kind of usage I'd like to use it for so I went back to CM7. One thing I really liked about CM9 was the pattern lock dots- On ICS they are a lot thinner and look slicker, whilst on GB they are thick and bulky and I dislike them.
So my question is; Would it be possible to flash a zip in CWM to change the pattern lock dots on my device? Or any other method?
I just started using Luminous Dots on my Galaxy S3 and sometimes when it is on the lock screen the wallpaper rotates 45 degrees... Is it supposed to do that? I think it has something to do with the motion sensor.
View 2 Replies View RelatedFound a bug on CM10 Beta 1 by Ivendor for Samsung i9001. when tilting from portrait to landscape in text messaging half the keyboard turns black. Is there somewhere i can post this so that the people who can address it can see it? Or should i just try the dev forum for that rom?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get the LiveView plugin template to work but upon import of the project into Eclipse, I already have 13 errors and 2 warnings. I have already downloaded SDK for Android 1.6 which I believe is what it requires. The errors are as follows:

So I have my T-Mobile Galaxy S4 running an unofficial CM11 ROM, and I noticed that battery life seems a little whack, and well Google Keyboard happened to be 2nd place for battery use, and has already downloaded almost 500mb, heck probably 502mb right now. I find that quite insane, and it just keeps going. I feel like this is also the reason why my phone is constantly overly warm. SGH-M919
