Jul 5, 2010So i have been recording a good amount of pool side videos in 720p on my EVO. I usually home movies through my western digital tv box with all my movies loaded on portable hard drives. So today i decide to take some movies from my phone to the hard drive and i realized that the phone records in 3gp. Why 3gp? That may be an old cell phone format but its not what todays 720p movies really record in. Does anyone have any recommendations for a conversion software or file type to convert these movies. It seems kind of useless to record movies that can only be watched back on a computer. And i know its not a canon hidef camcorder that cost over 1k. Its a cell phone.

It works without giving me any error messages but in the output directory are only *.smali-files (instead of dex-files). Before calling baksmali I have downloaded the framework-folder from the device and placed it under ./origi_frame.

Aug 17, 2012I am having some difficulties developing my first app. My problem is a bit too specific so I couldn't find if any1 else had the same problem.
After writing a number as a string into memory and reading the said string from memory, I cannot convert it back into a number.
For example, the string written in is 1234, when I retrieve it and write it onto the app, it still shows up as 1234.
When I convert this string to an int using Integer.parseint(), it gives me an error. Then I tried converting a String 123 thats just declared, it works perfectly.
I assume it is the retrieving part that messed up the string and made it unable to be turned into an int. or how to store numbers in memory in other ways?

If I try File newFile = new File(myURI);I get an error in Eclipse suggesting that I should convert the URI to a String. Supplying URI.getPath() in the constructor doesn't help either.
This relates to the 'How can I convert android.net.uri object to java.net.uri object?' question, which unfortunately seems to have no good answer, but I want a File object out, not a java uri. Apr 7, 2014I've had my phone almost two years and have never used tunein radio. Then suddenly yesterday it pops up a notification, and as soon as I touch that, trying to swipe-remove it, a station loads and starts playing. This is disastrous for me because mobile data is ridiculously expensive here and I need all of it for work purposes. So taoday I go to play store and uninstall it. And then get told that it's a system app so all the uninstall has done is remove all updates. Great, now I have a potentially insecure app that I don't want.
How can I remove it, or at the very least block it from using network? (I do have Sophos AV).

The beta gave my phone a weird glitch where any apps that I installed would instantly force close afted I restarted the phone, but it would work fine if it was uninstalled and reinstalled. Mar 26, 2012there are those of us, who due to whatever reason (helmet cams, preference for posture, etc) want to record videos in portrait mode.
What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
