I am having trouble with applications not showing notifications e.g. whatsapp, tapatalk etc. Android 4.4.2 (nc9)
They only show notifications when I go into the app.

Well to be honest i just don't like paying for applications, and the free Tapatalk app doesn't even let me post. Are there any other applications alike?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a Galaxy S4. I've got Twitter set to notify me when certain people tweet in addition to the standard mention and direct message notifications. It seems like recently it's only showing the latest notification in the notifications drawer (pull-down). If I get a mention, for example, and don't dismiss it and then get a direct message a few moments later the mention in my notifications pull-down is replaced with the direct message.

today a strange icon started to show up in the notification area. It has no notification attached to it, restarting the device doesn't make it go away and neither am I aware of any app installed that could have caused this. Due to the resemblance the icon bears to the ICS logo, I thought it might be some system-based event (something like an android anniversary date or whatnot), yet it persisted through GMT midnight, which makes it seems less likely then it did when I found out. I tried an image-based search for any images and screenshots containing the said icon, but came out empty-handed. As Henzman said, it's the new icon of the Power Toggles app.

It's only just started happening and I've removed any news apps that I've recently installed but it still happens. It's there an app written or is able to that can show which apps trigger sounds so u can hunt down the cause?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was on the menu thing (the bit where you touch the arrow button on the main screen) with all my apps up on show but I must have touched something when i looked away because now, none of my apps are showing up when i go onto it. I have to find some other way of getting to them. The only ones that are showing up are Settings, App Sharing, Setup and a few others. But i just want to get all of my apps back onto one screen?

My msg icon on the main screen showin 1 notification but when i click the icon there is no new message in my inbox.
Today several of my applications are showing twice in the drawer. Barcode Scanner, ASTRO File Manager, Barcode Scanner, Dildroid, Imeem Mobile all show up x2 in my drawer. Does anybody know why or how to fix this?

I've also wiped the phone before restoring a backup.But after I've used Titanium to re-install apps, the manage applications shows apps that have been uninstalled. When I select them in manage applications, I get a FC.I've investigated a bit, and it seems manage applications thinks the apps are still installed for some reason. If I find the app in Market, then Install and uninstall it, it no longer shows in Manage Applications.Is there a way to force a refresh of Manage Applications? I don't want to have to install/uninstall all the rogue aps.The main reaons for wanting to sort this, is so that when I backup/restore from Titianium, I don't have this issue and I can create a Nandroid backup that is correctly up to date.

So i decided well might as well get the official one right? so i tried to install it but then it goes to the rooted reboot screen and i just press reboot now. couple days later i get the update in the notification bar again.
Help please! should i unroot(already overclock though and don't really want all my data to be deleted)? and get the ota update? what should i do?

Has anybody noticed that sometimes when a text message comes in, that the Notification Bar will show it coming from somebody other than the person that actually sent it?Then when you actually go into the text itself it shows the correct sender.Happens to me quite frequently.

1. I mounted my Hero to my computer.
2. I have the media folder with the files of RINGTONES, NOTIFICATIONS.
3. I have the mp3s that I want, in EACH folder.
4. Unmounted the Hero.

I woke up to find I had received a text message on my Galaxy S. So, I looked in the notification bar and it said the message was from my brother. I opened my 'Messages' inbox by clicking the Messages icon. At the top of the screen it showed that the message was from my mate Doug, not my brother. So, I opened the actual message by selecting it from my message inbox and it showed that it was actually from my mate Charlie

Any image I send won't even get delivered to the server (the first tick).
